We recently had a large tree taken out and a bunch of smaller tall trees trimmed by RF Tree Service, and we were extremely pleased with the service we received. Removal of the large tree was particularly challenging, as it was almost touching our house and had the power line to the house running right next to it. After having three tree service companies come over to give us quotes, RF Tree Service was the clear choice, as they gave me the most confidence that they could do the job without damaging our house or knocking out our power, plus they were the lowest cost option. Here is how the other two companies compared to RF Tree Service: * The two other options had a slightly lower price to remove the one large tree but a much higher price for trimming branches in smaller tall trees in the side yard and front yard. * One of the other options had an extra charge to remove mulch from a ground up stump. * The two other options said that the stump grinder would ruin our astro turf, or else require that the turf be pulled up and re-installed by an expert afterward. * One of the other options said we would have to have our energy provider take down the power line to our house so that they could remove the large tree safely. In the end, RF Tree Service removed the large tree safely, did a great job grinding the stump afterward without damaging our astroturf, trimmed the tall trees around our house without any problems, and left our yard looking better than when they got there. One branch from the large tree was difficult to guide as it fell to the ground and put a dent in the electricity power meter box on the side of the house. Tony called me out to explain what had happened and to inform me that he was getting someone to fix it right away at his expense. True to his word, within two hours, a new meter box was in place, and Tony even stayed until the work was completed to make sure it was done properly. You can't argue with honesty and service like that! We will 100% call RF Tree Service again for any future tree work that we need to have done. read more

Does it seem like I have a lot of reviews about trees? Well, that's because, unfortunately, I've required a lot of tree service this year. I bought a house on a half acre lot, not realizing the extent of damage that the recent drought had done. After a couple of really windy nights this winter, with large branches falling down in our yard and dead tress toppling throughout our neighborhood, we realized we could not delay on removing the last thirteen dead/dying trees from the back of our property. We got bids ranging from around $5,000- over $15,000. Since the trees were already dead anyway, we had no qualms about choosing the lowest bid, which was RF. Lorenzo and his crew arrived promptly and began methodically cutting down the trees we had marked. I did not realize that to cut down a dead tree, one would have to climb up in the tree. Scary. But these guys clearly knew what they were doing, and they had no fear of heights. They hauled away the pine and cut the hardwood into firewood sized logs and stacked it for us. I found RF Tree Service right here on Yelp and called upon them to remove dead tree branches. After meeting Tony, I ended up pruning all of our trees. Their prices are so reasonable and the CUSTOMER SERVICE can't be beat. I kept expecting a catch, but there wasn't one. After the trees were trimmed, I noticed scratches on the fence paint. Tony quickly offered to buy the paint and repair the damage, which he did to perfection, and even left the remainder of the paint for us to keep.
