This review is for exterior white oak gates and a garage door that we paid $$$ to have John's team…read morerefinish recently. Communication and quote started out great with Dane but the workmanship was lazy and as you can see in the photo did not last at all. I am assuming they only put 2 coats of finish on and didn't prep correctly since all of the finish has already released after only 4 short months. When his team was "complete" I could tell they did not do the job I expected. I asked them to come back out and place one more coat on....which they did but didn't make much difference. I have since refinished myself after spending over $2k for their crappy work. It looks great now.....after a real complete strip and 4 coats of the finish I originally asked for. My advice is do it yourself or go elsewhere.

I scheduled the painting and Nacho and his helper were right on time. They came all week and did all the prep work and took the cabinet doors to the shop. They did an excellent job and I was impressed with how smoothly it went. I love the way it turned out. It is beautiful and the quality is awesome. Compared to the other bids I receive it was an excellent value. I have already referred 3 friends to John's and I would use them again for any painting need I may have.

They took the time to properly prep the walls--power washing, filling cracks, sanding, and priming--which really showed in the final result. The paint job looks flawless with clean lines and smooth, even coats. They kept us updated throughout the project. What impressed me most was how clean they left everything--no mess at all. I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality painting work.

We recently had the outside of our house painted by them and they did a fantastic job from start to finish. Our job actually started months before they ever started with a quote that came in far less than what I had expected. Had it not been for all of the other positive reviews I read on Yelp, When Charles came to give me the quote, he was very thorough in explaining everything they would do. When I received the quote by email, I thought the price I was quoted was some type of mistake because it was far less than I expected for a house our size, which I fairly large, and a 2-story house. I wanted to have them start right away, but we needed to get our electric panel upgraded first, which took a lot longer than expected. When we were finally ready to move forward with painting, it was several months later and expected to have to get a whole new quote, but they honored the original bid. Once the World Of Color crews showed up on day one, they got right to work. Day one was a thorough power wash job of the entire house from top to bottom. Our house had not been painted in over 25+ years, so you can imagine how badly in need of a fresh coat of paint it was, especially along all of the fascia board, which were badly pealing and cracking. Day 2 is where all of the prep work began. Masking off all windows and doors and covering any cement and pavers with plastic. Our home also several areas of stucco repair from years of water damage. Their stucco repair work done by these guys was a perfect match. Days 3 - 5 was all prep work, with lots of sanding and scraping. They paid a lot attention to detail and followed my instructions as to how I wanted certain things painted, or unpainted. I thought that originally the job would be completed within one week. But I think because of some of the areas where stucco repair was necessary, it took longer. But I was OK with that because it meant that they were not just hurrying through the job to get finished sooner to get on to the next job. We also decided to have our front door painted, which the owner of the company came out and personally did himself. I could tell from watching him paint that his expertise was top-notch. When they came back on Monday morning, they were finally ready to paint. For us, I think the hardest part of the whole process was actually just picking out the right color(s). After all, once the paint goes on, if it's not what you expected, guess what, you have to look at it every day for next 15+ years. We wanted to make sure we got just the right color. By midday on Tuesday, the job was complete and we couldn't be happier. If you are considering getting your house painted, World of Color is the guys you want painting your house. I can't speak for any interior painting because we didn't have any of that done, but I can imagine their work inside is just as good as the outside. Overall they were punctual each day, easy to work with, patient with me and all my questions and inquiries. If I had any negative comments, it would be that the final cleanup could have been just a little bit better. But, compared to the work done, this was a very minor detail. In fact, I'm sure that if I had asked them to come back to take care of it, they would have done it for sure. The pictures I posted don't really do the quality of the work any justice. The fine work really shines through in person. There are a lot of painters out there, but when it comes to this type of work, you really want to hire professionals that do it right. Don't hesitate to give them a call and see if they can give you the paint job you want, you won't be sorry.
