I want to be as kind as I can to this company, because I don't know exactly all the facts around my experience. but they quoted me for between a 4000 to 8000 dollar job, when the solution was a 50 dollar part. I live in Bluffdale, and I was just looking to do normal yearly maintenance on my A/C unit, I called the company, they answered were friendly and sent a guy out immediately. Good deal, the charge is only 20 bucks for the maintenance. I mention to the guy that this particular A/C unit has been tripping the breaker about once a day. He says he'll look into it. A couple hours later he has taken apart my entire system, let's me know that the compressor must have gone bad and that I will need to replace it, as well as most other parts of my A/C unit, I ask "Well... how much would that cost" "Well the part is about 1500, and then it's a 6 hour job, so it'll run you about 4-6k dollars or so, I can have a guy come out and give you an exact quote, but honestly it's not that much more to get the entire system replaced... that's 8000.." I wait, look into warranty and amazingly, i still have a warranty for the part! Good news! in the mean time I get several other quotes, one shop quotes me half that 4k price, that makes sense, 4000-1500 is about 2000 dollars, the price difference is somewhat small. the price guy arrives, asks a lot of personal questions and then says he'll run my quote, I inform him the good news! I get the part for free! could they get close to the price quoted earlier? Nope, 4000 dollars. well since I have that piece still warrantied, can you show me a breakdown of the prices for labor, parts etc? nope. can you tell me what unit you would install if I went with the 8k version? "honestly they are all the same" Ok, but can I get a price break down? nope. they were vary dismayed when I said I would get some other quotes. He also informed me that this has happened all over this neighborhood So I call another company, guy looks at it, looks at my breaker and says "I think the builder just added the wrong size breaker, and this one is warn down, I can get an electrician friend of mine out here to fix it, but your unit looks perfect". thanks Copper peaks. No fee for the consultation electrician comes over,"that'll be 50 dollars for the part, 150 for the house call" it's been working perfectly fine ever since. I don't know if this is an experience problem, but I do worry that this company has been wrongfully quoting newish home owners full replacements when they are not necessary. I had a bad experience with this company, and cannot recommend them.

I just got finished a few weeks before…read morewith a routine tune up from another HVAC company who told me both of my AC units were working great. I still had doubts on my upstairs unit which was struggling to get to its desired temperature. Then the downstairs unit outdoor fan stopped working. I went with Eagar for the diagnosis and they came by same day and diagnosed a common capacitor replacement issue. Replaced capacitor and downstairs unit started working as expected. Great! The technician was also willing to do a quick basic check on my upstairs unit and turns out it was low on refrigerant. 2 lbs and some UV dye/sealant later my upstairs system now can match the set temperature for a change, and I didn't have to break anywhere close to 4 or 5 digit pricing. The pricing seems fair to me. They don't offer those $30 tuneup prices but they also don't beeline to pressuring your into a new HVAC unit either or suggesting services which seem dubious and with exorbitant pricing. Makes it hard to trust. Instead Eagar charges a reasonably regular price but also gives your unit a fair, honest assessment, which ultimately is what I want, with units that are 18 and 12 years old! We had a very old furnace at the time and the new Tempstar was a much needed upgrade. My friend called the local warehouse with the info off the box and found out how bad he was ripping us off. He ended up taking off $2,000.00 after being confronted but I still paid over 3 grand for a water heater. Fast forward.....Last week that new water heater quits working and the only reason I called him back is because he would have all of the warranty info etc. He said the parts would be under warranty but he would have to charge me labor for the work. BE AWARE! He charges $75.00 "truck charge" and that is per day. If he doesn't finish in one day it's another $75.00 each trip. Then he charges $125.00 an hour! He comes out and tears it apart. He says it has been leaking for years. I questioned how it had been installed. He blew up and was just going to leave me with a torn apart mess. He said " maybe you would like to just install it yourself". I asked if he was serious? He said he needed to go to the warehouse and get a part. When I asked what the price of the repair was going to be he kept saying "I charge BY THE HOUR NOT BY THE JOB!" He comes back and installs the part. He said now, it needs another part and I need to go back to the warehouse. He calls me and says the warehouse was closed so he would be returning tomorrow. So, here comes the second $75.00 truck charge. I guess you need a box truck to pick up a sensor? I told him this was all ridiculous! I do flooring and stated that I would never treat a customer this way. His reply was "well, you run your business how you want and I will run mine like I want to!" In the end he handed me a bill for $880.00 for a repair on a 3 year old water heater that he charged me over 3 grand for. I blew up! He relented and said ok, just for you I will reduce it to $500.00 does that sound ok? I said "no, it doesn't but your in control here". I paid him and told him to leave. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Minor issues, all were fixed promptly and with great communication between Titan and our builder. Worked so far with a few ladies in the office, and Cole and Cris. Everyone was great, Cole came out to assess the work that needed to be done. He was nice and helpful each time. Had a concern with my furnace on Christmas Eve, the worst time ever to have anything go wrong with the cold temperatures too. Cris was responsive and pleasant to work with and learn from. Came out and took care of the issues I was having and provided me further information for future items and maintenance. I'll continue to use Titan after the one year warranty is over and through the five year warranty for the furnace. I will gladly pay for labor and parts through this company. So far, that's two crucial interactions for a new home owner and I cannot be more pleased and felt it good to share so others know the good experiences with this company. Also, one thing that is really important with us is that a company send a text or some kind of notice to let us know they are coming. We have dogs and we need to know to get things prepped for people to come to our house. So when this is followed through on, it's helpful.
