I've been going to this studio consistently for a few months and have only wonderful things to say about it. I tried the new student special in November and immediately got a membership, I was hooked! Theres a variety of class types and times. I love the original hot yoga, core fire conditioning, yoga sculpt and power yoga classes. I haven't tried the non-heated classes, but I've heard those are great as well. The studio is extremely welcoming - the teachers and community are so friendly and genuine. The manager Jess is always planning something new and fun, so there are special classes, workshops, or social events happening all the time which is so fun! This was my introduction to yoga. I took my very first class here about a month ago when I first became interested in yoga. Looking back on it, it probably wasn't a great idea to jump into a one and a half hour hot yoga class for my very first session as I struggled to keep up and was sweating like crazy, but despite all of that, I still loved it and have been doing hot yoga classes ever since at a studio closer to my house. The staff working here are very kind and friendly and were there at the beginning of class welcoming everyone. Even though I couldn't keep up with the class, I was never made to feel uncomfortable about it. The instructor was great at teaching the yoga class. I have taken every style class that RIHY offers in Bristol. All class styles and instructors have been knowledgeable, kind, and patient, and, overall, have personalities & a holding of space that makes me feel safe and able to practice. There is a little bit of something for everyone. No stress with parking; there is a huge lot. An extra fantastic factor is locker rooms with showers, which is extremely rare to find in RI as we have traditional older buildings. I hope you check it out! So disappointed in this studio. I have been going to the Valley st. Studio since the 2014. And even though the previous management had its shortcomings it never felt cliquish like it does now. I feel the old core instructors where more knowledgeable than the instructors that currently dominate the schedule. Greta charge my wife a drop in fee after she charged my card for both of us when I left the table. That was strike one! Strike two was when my wife responded to request to be a Karma Yogi the same day that the request went out and the wait listed her. Really?????? Well I will not spend one more dime in that studio! This is an adorable, friendly space with excellent instructors and a wonderful studio. Full disclosure: I've known Juliana for a while. She used to teach at Ocean State Bikram Yoga, which was my yoga home for 2+ years. Still, I'm an unbiased reviewer and I can say without hesitation that this might be the best studio I've been to yet. The studio is incredibly easy to find with ample parking. The dressing rooms and showers are great--clean, lots of space, but not super private. The actual studio is where I was most impressed. The walls in the studio are a cheerful yellow and there are bright orange lines on the floor. It's a very relaxing space with just enough room to spread out, but not so much room that you feel like you're in a gymnasium. The heating system was the best I've encountered to date. It was completely silent, but with even heat that never felt stifling. There are four fans that move the air perfectly when things get a bit too hot. I was sweaty as usual, but much more comfortable because unlike other studios, I didn't feel hot/cold at times, it was just even heat the entire time. Since the room is rather intimate, it's very easy to hear the instructor, which is important since Bikram is dialogue based. It's just overall a very well thought-out space. This place is a bit of a drive from my house, so I can't got there regularly. But I honestly felt so comfortable there, and had such a great yoga experience, that I'm going to make time. read more

New to Bikram yoga, but this place has really got me hooked. I struggle sometimes to get there because I work 60+ hours a week and am exhausted, but as soon I am there, I feel amazing! My favorite instructor is who is on the podium for the day. (Seriously, I love going to everyone's class!) All the instructors ( Julianna, Bee, Melissa, Amie, Allison) give clear instructions, are friendly and always willing to answer any questions. All will say something or tell a joke during class, even though I'm struggling and working hard, they can always get a smile out of me. :) Not easy to do when you're in 100 degrees! I've had chronic back pain for years, and I decided to try Bikram yoga at this studio a little over a month ago. I was (and still am) very new to yoga, and I must admit I am surprised how much I enjoy coming to this studio. I simply just love how I feel after the class. I go to this studio 5-6 times a week now. Very clean facilities with welcoming atmosphere, and all the instructors are supportive to help you to get the best you can. The studio also provides workshops where they teach you more depth. In January, I decided (with pressure from my wife) to start Bikram Yoga. So that being said, I don't have a great deal of experience in yoga. I have not been practicing for years and I have not practiced at any other studio. So like stated, I know little about this. However, here I want to give you a view of a new comer to Bikram. Overall though this studio is wonderful, because every person that is part of this studio, whether a instructor, expert-yogi, carma-yogi, or just yogi are there for the same purpose. That purpose is to help everyone improve to where they want to be. Whether it is physical, spiritual, or mental health. Everyone is in the room together working on themselves. Let me start off by talking about the studio in general, continue on if you want to hear about my first experience with Bikram. The first thing you will notice are that it is bright and clean! The cleanliness extends to the practice space and locker areas to. The studio has multiple amenities, including yoga mat and towel rentals and showers (which I appreciate very much, I love a cold (well luke cold) shower after yoga). They also offer a myriad of hydration choices if you are finding yourself dehydrated that day (for purchase), these include coconut water, water, and Ultima. There is also a water cool for filtered cold water. Finally you can Bikram can be scary, at least it was for me. The first few days (when you really know nothing) you find yourself sitting in a 100 degree room, sweating buckets of water onto your mat and towel and forcing your body into whats seems to be arbitrary and painful positions (caveat here, I am the least flexible 24 year old on the planet, so it literally feels like forcing). You push yourself hard, wanting to prove yourself to the other yogis, but by tree pose you find yourself ready to lay down and maybe sleep for days. Let me also mention at this point in your yoga life, you don't know where Tree Pose is in the series and you have no clue how long you have left! You lay the rest of the class, half not caring (out of pure exhaustion) and half caring what the instructor thinks of you. At the end, you step out the room, your looking down at the floor trying not to make eye contact with the instructor and all of a sudden you hear "Great job Eric!" from the instructor, Bee or Alison, or Melissa, or Amie??? The point is that you survived the first day of yoga! And everyday gets better and better. These first few days are the hardest of bikram yoga. You find yourself, hot, dizzy, sweating, nauseous and this may last for 1 class, 3 classes, 10 classes, or you will never experience this in your yoga career. The key is to trust your body (much of what yoga is, is learning to do this) and this is the first lesson you learn. The second is that breathing is really useful. Listen to your body, sleep if you need to or push yourself if you need to. The 3rd lesson is that your day should revolve around hydrating for yoga (you will feel better). Once you get past these first days and learn these first lessons, you really begin to learn yoga and yourself. This is already to long, but I want to let you know that I am now 3 months into yoga and I finally have felt that this is something I can actually do! and I am very happy with that. read more

I've been practicing this style of yoga on and off for the past seven years. This style has proven the most beneficial for my mind and for my body because it's the same postures every time, which makes it so I am more focused on improving my practice instead of becoming anxious and wondering if I'm doing everything right. The heat is an added bonus, as it really helps with the stretching. If you aren't used to the heat, don't worry, it only takes a class or two to acclimate to it. I have been to many different studios, and by far this studio has been the best fit. I began coming to this studio a little over a year ago. I've never been to a studio where teachers put as much energy into helping students to become their best with the mind and body they brought to class that day as this studio does. It's also the first studio where I actually felt comfortable enough to ask additional questions about my practice before and after class. This place has created an amazing yoga community, which makes you want to keep coming back. Because I keep coming back, I've never stood taller, and my back has never been stronger, which has flowed into improving my form in other activities like cycling and running. I've been practicing Yoga on and off for a year and a half and had always been too afraid of Bikram Yoga to give it a try. I moved to Providence from Boston a few months ago and failed to check out any studios so my practice ended up suffering. I turned to the internet for potential studios to check out when I stumbled across East Bay Bikram. They were having a special $30 for 30 days unlimited, which is amazing and I pounced. To give beginners some background, Bikram yoga is a set of 26 poses performed in a room heated to 100-105 degrees to help warm muscles and increase flexibility. I was terrified my first class because I generally hate summer because I hate being hot, however Bikram is an experience like no other and one I think everyone should try. The heat is more of a mind over matter thing, rather than a debilitating physical obstacle. Bikram is wonderful for all levels, instructors offer modifications for beginners and advanced students in the class, and there's always a great mix. The studio itself is fabulously clean, bright and has great mirrors and even better instructors. As a once fearful yogi, I am no completely converted to Bikram and absolutely love this type of practice. read more

Yoga teaches you to be kind to yourself and accept who you are in the present. There are lots of yoga places to chose from, so why East Bay Bikram? Because, it will change your life for the better. You work out in a sauna for an hour and a half, you are forced to pay attention to yourself, and you learn that you are invincible. Easy Bay Bikram is 200% worth a try. Every teacher is helpful, savvy, kind and awesome. The best part of the experience, though, is Abby. Love this place! I live in Middletown and have been bummed since I moved to the island that there were no Bikram yoga places. I've done an unlimited month of bikram about twice in Hoboken, NJ and Cape Cod. I found an amazing deal for an unlimited month for $39 for new customers here and instantly took it. Every instructor has been so great, although each different and the room always gets to the temperature it's supposed to be in. I mean - i really go there to sweat it out :) I am so glad to have found this amazing deal for this place. They have great times, 6am which is a cheaper drop in rate and 7pm work great for me. read more

If you are, as I am, new to the practice of Bikram, or have many years of experience, you will find that this studio is a place you can feel at home. They have extremely knowledgable instructors that create a positive and encouraging atmosphere. They offer a wide range of times so you can fit your classes into your schedule. The studio and facilities are clean and well maintained. There are also workshops to help you in your practice such as the posture series, and mediation. I find myself laughing and smiling quite a bit during class, which I feel is an important part of my practice. Coming here has given me a place to relieve the stress of life, or to charge me up for the day to come. My new years resolution this year was to start feeling better about myself and do something about the stress levels in my life. I'm the first to admit that I usually stick to my resolutions for about a month and then give up when I don't see results. I am happy to report that Bikram yoga is something I plan to actually stick with for the long run and I have the amazing staff at Easy Bay Bikram Yoga to thank for that. I have never been in a more welcoming atmosphere where you feel accepted for who you are and what you can (or cannot) do. I cannot express how important that was to me as a beginner. It is also the one part of my day where I can let go of everything going on in my life and focus on me and the present moment. I always find it hard to relax my mind and let things go but when I'm in the studio it just feels natural. My mind and body have completely changed since I started yoga 3 months ago and it is now my favorite part of the day. I would and do recommend this studio to absolutely everyone, you won't regret it. read more
