Came here for lunch with 5 others. Started with baked clams which were great. Not every place does them right. House salad very good and Italian egg roll with a red dipping sauce. All very good My chicken cacciatore was excellent. 2 friends had the almond crusted chicken which they said was also very tasty and a nice twist on serving chicken. By far my favorite part of the meal (what else is new) was desert. Their signature desert is Zuccotto which is probably something they invented. It was just amazing and light. Looked like a slice of pie but inside the cake was a chocolate cream with almonds and hazelnuts. Absolute heaven. The tartuffo was delicious and decaf coffee also good. Great service. Clean restroom. Great service! Walked in with no reservations and was seated, the restaurant was pretty empty around 5pm. I obessessing over the tiramisu and the baked clams. White sauce clam linguini , chicken parm and chocken are fries were pretty basic. Everything had good flavor but there was nothing new or exciting for me. Its a small restaurant but pleasantly enough seating space for a large amount of people . I would come here if I am around the area, but wouldn't drive out or my way to come back. read more

We were trying to the area from out of state for a family gathering, if we were going to Long Island I wanted real Italian Food. After research found this spot, made a reservation based on an estimate on when we would be getting into town. Ended up being earlier than anticipated, called the restaurant they were able to accommodate my husband and I earlier. Along the way a family member was also getting into town and wanted to join us for dinner, they were able to adjust the reservation on the fly to accommodate us. The wait staff was awesome. Explained the menu, specials. Food was delicious. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very relaxed, welcoming. We were able to sit and visit with family without feeling rushed. Rialto's motto: Good Friends. Good Food. From my research I surmised Rialto has been around over 14 years. I was surprised the restaurant does not market their establishment date with their motto, as 14+ years is no small feat. My original visit a few years ago, attending an event with my colleagues bundled in a smaller section of the restaurant left a lot to be desired. It had myself questioning whether I should attend yet another milestone event squished in a corner. After succumbing to the pressures as to why I should attend, I was pleased that this evening's Jan 2024 Retirement Dinner, was set up in the larger part of the restaurant. Great company. Entering from the main door you are met with a warm, cozy glow on the smaller, bar side of the restaurant and then an immediate separation to the larger main dining area. The main area allowed the space needed for co-workers not seen in ages an opportunity to mingle freely. Much more comfortable. Good food. A small sample of the Berkshire Pork Chop was perfectly prepared. I definitely recommend. My Almond Crusted Stuffed Chicken Breast was a savory, sweet dish with the accompanying mashed Sweet Potatoes. Another perfect combination. To add to the pleasantries of the evening, our obviously skilled servers offered prompt, satisfactory service. Any request I or my table companions made were fulfilled without any necessary follow up. There may have been exceptions, though all appeared content with the service. This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. It has a nice atmosphere and the food is good. Four of us came on a Wednesday night for the chicken special, which was, I think, 25.00. It included an appetizer, main course and coffee and dessert. The portions were huge! Ordered was chicken marsala, chicken francese and chicken parmesan. All were delicious. The mashed potatoes and veggies were good also. I didn't feel like having chicken, so I ordered the linguine in white clam sauce. It also comes in red sauce, but I prefer white. It was delicious! There were 4 or 5 whole clams, plus a bunch of clams out of their shells in the dish. The sauce was garlicky and creamy, something I've never had before ( creamy). It was really good. Rialto is an above average tasty local Italian restaurant in Carle Pl., New York We came to this restaurant before a show at a local university. We were served quickly fast and efficiently. The food was tasty hot and delicious. My only complaint is I wish the menu was a bit more customized where I could get exactly what I wanted not what they were serving . I've been searching throughout Long Island for homemade fresh pasta and I still haven't found it and Rialto did not satisfy that craving. I hope management read this review and comes out with a unique dining experience. That includes homemade fresh food I am not implying the food is not homemade and fresh, but I am implying. After a 5+ year hiatus we returned to Rialto for dinner on a rainy evening. Intimate spot on a Westbury side street with a small parking lot adjacent to the building. Service was efficient but not overly friendly, in fact our dour server didn't crack a smile once throughout the evening. The owner greeted some cronies warmly but we were ignored, guess we didn't make the cut. Ooohkaay. Started with martinis, potent and good. Discounted on Thursdays @ $8 apiece, liked the Passion Fruit version a lot. Shared the burrata app, a small piece of cheese resting on unripe tomato slice, dressed with red peppers and a bit of prosciutto. Passable, I've had much better. Like any foodie I had perused Rialto's online menu beforehand but that turned out to be kinda useless. Their regular menu (not early bird) was one short page and didn't include many of their advertised dishes. Puzzling. I chose the shrimp scampi, it looked nothing like the Yelp pics nor any shrimp scampi I've had elsewhere. Instead my $29.50 plate consisted of about 6 rubbery shrimp with very little sauce/flavoring, a scoop of mashed potatoes and a few limp butter laden veggies. Bland and skimpy with no pasta, not a fan. Hubbie said his squid ink pasta with scallops was good. Shared the zuccotto cake for dessert, an ample if overly sweet version of this Italian specialty. I am so happy that my wife and I finally came to Rialto. I have been passing by this restaurant for so many years now. Parking was easy, plenty of street and they have a parking lot too. We entered through the back and walked into the dining room. What a delightful setting. Not too big, and they have a fair amount of seating here. We went into the bar area which was a delightful setting and definitely a very comfortable place to sit and have a cocktail. There were also a few table in this area. We went on a Sunday evening and though they were not too busy, the 8 table that were filled were very active. They have a good amount of staff here so we were always watched for bread, water, etc... The hostess-server Stephanie was just great.. We were happily treated and seated. After allowing us to sit for a few minutes, she came over and explained the menu and specials. WOW, plenty to choose from on the menu and the specials sounded great. Stephanie did a great job explaining everything to us. We started with the Baked Clams Oreganata. Six nice size clams wells breaded (not too much breading) and enough sauce for the dipping. Fresh and tasty. We were off to a good start. I had the Orechette with Broccoli Rabe and sausage in a white wine sauce. I must say, this was perfectly prepared and extremely tasty. My wife went with the traditional shrimp Scampi. Plenty of shrimp over pasta with a Scampi sauce. This too was wonderful. Perfectly cooked shrimp over an al-dante pasta. The portions were perfect so we did not walk away wanting more and didn't feel like we ate too much. Make sure you check out my pictures, they definitely tell a story. When you eat all this good food, you never give yourself enough room for dessert. They had a beautiful selection but we couldn't eat another thing. I guess we will be going back. Be sure to leave room for Fabio's specialty, homemade Tiramisu. Melts in your mouth. Affogato with Vanilla Ice Cream and Expresso was a great way to close out the meal. Dishonest business practices at this restaurant. Manager refused to honor a $200 gift certificate giving me the response that "We are under new ownership and no longer honor those gift certificates." Gift certificate specifically says on it that it does not expire. Manager said " we have a sign out front" (which we didn't see) but couldn't answer how a sign would absolve them of taking $200 from someone buying a gift certificate and not honoring that business transaction. We asked to speak to the owner but we were told he was too busy in the kitchen to speak to us. read more

Let me tell you - this was a bonafide buffet without having to walk up and get your own food. Boxed macaroni, with the bare minimum adds of broccoli rabe and sausage. The bruschetta tasted like canned sauce. I don't know what's worse - it being canned sauce or the house specialty tasting as such. I had been wanting to go here for a while but whenever I went to make a Saturday night reservation they were always booked(for good reason I now know). Finally, I made an opentable res for a weeknight instead. We went on an evening with price fix menu and live music which was perfect for date night! Mussel appetizer was absolutely delicious! I ordered the crusted stuffed chicken... it was amazing, and had a really unique presentation. The mashed sweet potatoes were a nice pairing with it also. Atmosphere: 4/5 Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 We went on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate a birthday. We made a 1:00pm reservation but the restaurant was quite cold. I get it when the employees don't mind the cold when they keep moving around, but since our party even made a reservation ahead of time it would have been nice if the atmosphere was a little more prepared. Everyone's response towards the food was very positive. We all were satisfied with our pasta choices. I chose the Fresh Black Linguine with Shrimps and Bay Scallops, served with signature basil marinara sauce. The linguine had the right amount of firmness, and the seafood & the vegetables were also enjoyable and delicious. Though each of the ingredients on their own tasted good, as an overall dish it didn't come together and culminate the way I expected a $29 dish would. The staffs were very polite and made conversation with us. When they asked us why we were visiting today, we said it was a guest's birthday. So at the end of the meal, they even gave us a slice of chocolate cake at the end and also took 10% off of our total bill. How sweet of them To conclude: Rialto is a great place to dine, and I'm guessing that they cater to more guests in the evening hours than in the early afternoon. Great food as always. I will admit that I'm very hard to please and I had the stuffed veal chop , hubby had the pork osso bucco ( I tasted his) both were absolutely delicious!! Had a delicious scallop over polenta appetizer where the only complaint was its portion size. It was beautifully presented but a quantity of literally one that I ate in 2 bites for $14. Are you kidding me. My main course was the lightly breaded and pan sautéed flounder covered in artichokes and capers in a lemon sauce, was utterly spectacular. This place is absolutely amazing! A little piece of heaven fell into Carle Place. I love the romantic cavernous tuscan feel of the bar and restaurant. The Mussels di Mario - Mussels sauteed with Chorizo sausage pepperoncini peppers in a pomodoro sauce. I was in heaven and dipped my bread in the sauce not to waste a single drop! I also enjoyed the Roasted Red Beet Salad - Arugula, radicchio, poached pears, mandarin oranges, roasted beets, toasted candy walnuts and gorgonzola tossed in balsamic vinaigrette. Delicious and so fresh! My main course was the Oven Roasted Half Long Island Duckling - Served with orange demi glaze. It was cooked perfectly and mouthwatering! To end the meal I had the most heavenly dessert, Zuccotto - Almonds, Hazelnut, Chocolate, Cream drizzled with Amoretto. Unreal. And the time and care taken with the presentation was so special. We have eaten here many times over the years, including under the two previous owners. The food has always been very good and it continues to be.. Last nigh, Saturday, we arrived at 6:20 for a 6:30 reservation. The restaurant was packed. We weren't seated until 7:45. We have never had an experience like that before and everyone at the bar was complaining including some first timers. An added oddity was their parking valet had not shown up? The food is consistently very good and the owner Tara is welcoming and knows how to make an experience special.
