This place definitely gives a hole in the wall vibe and that's what I wanted. There are plenty of "brunch vibes" in Long Island and that's not what I was looking for today. Service was super prompt and the food came quick, less than 10 minutes. I ordered the Mexican omelette which was eggs, shredded chicken and oaxacan cheese. I expected the chicken and cheese to be cooked into the omelette - it was actually an egg omelette with the chicken and cheese folded inside. No complaints though; when I had enough eggs, I was able to eat just the chicken. It was well seasoned and not doused in cheese, which I appreciated. Note to self: no sour cream next time. It was unnecessary. The omelette came with a side of home fries. The home fries were the perfect mix of soft and crispy, with onions and peppers. They tasted great. It also came with toast and I added avocado, and made avocado toast... YUM. I had an iced coffee on the side. Nothing special about the coffee- not good or bad. They had almond milk and sugar-free vanilla... yay! Lastly, I took a sausage omelette with sweet potato chips to go for my son and he loved it. I would definitely come back. Thanks for a good experience!

Would I go again, yes every place deserves a second chance!

I literally just left Chopt after ordering a warm bowl with the cauliflower rice base to go. I…read moretypically have preferred going to Chopt in the city, as I've noticed the Roslyn Heights one often gives me less food when I order the exact same thing. But today was ridiculous. After getting the cauliflower rice base the employee started dousing my warm bowl in salad dressing. I quickly spoke up, since I had wanted my dressing on the side, and she took the bowl and moved it under the counter to try to selectively scoop only the parts of the cauliflower with the dressing into the garbage. I could hear my bowl literally hit the side of the garbage container. It grossed me out when she then tried to use the same bowl and just scoop in a bit more cauliflower rice to replace what she'd scooped out. I politely asked for a new bowl, and the idle male employee standing next to her started making facial expressions indicating that he thought I was being unreasonable. She ended up giving me a new bowl -- but then putting almost no cauliflower rice in it to "punish" me for not wanting a bowl that had touched the side of a garbage can. Keep in mind that my warm bowl with the cauliflower rice upcharge came to over $17. I will never frequent that particular Chopt again.

First time dining for lunch today. It took me a minute to order because they had a good amount of…read moresandwich options that were appealing to me. Some options I never seen on a menu before. I can tell that whoever made this menu is a real sandwich eater lol. I got the buffalo chicken cesar wrap and a side a fries. The buffalo sauce wasn't too spicy to where it just tastes like hot sauce, but tangy enough to balance out the cesar salad. And they were generous with the fries. Very good hand cut fries, just needed a little dash of salt. My coworker said the wagyu chop cheese was good. Just wished they seasoned the meat a little more. I can understand the other sandwich toppings are supposed to balance it out but a little extra pepper never hurt lol All in all they're on point. Service was helpful. It is a little small inside so will probably do take out only but, will definitely go back to try other sandwiches.

I've received emails from Roast in the past, promoting their Ruben Sandwiches but apparently, that was during St Paddy's only...not on their regular menu. I ended up getting a Crispy Chicken ala Vodka Hero (17.17 including tax). It was huge and pretty good! I would get this again. This store is small, with a few tables available for dine-in but most people do takeout. Metered parking only. Conveniently located a few blocks from the LIRR. Customer service was friendly enough but not overly friendly.

For my order I went with a trio of tacos - al pastor, coconut shrimp (both of these were listed as signature items) and the crispy fish. The Al Pastor was the best of them, but overall the tacos were on the sweet side probably due to the condiments and additions of onions and corn that were pickled. Glad they have hot sauces on the table to bring need heat. I got a side salad with this - I would say this is bit of afterthought lettuce with 3 pieces of cucumber and tomato each there wasn't much to it. I tried the Carne Asada bowl - again a bit on the sweet side, but they give a good amount of food. They use a cheese blend and I think one of them is a parmesan because it tasted a bit out of place. We ordered a piece of tres leches and it had a maple flavor that was unexpected. It took me a second, but I placed that it reminded me of a discontinued Entenmann's cake that I think was maple walnut iced cake. If you remember that and miss it then get this. I enjoyed this non-traditional version. Although not the best Mexican food I would come back here and perhaps try other items on the menu since it seems inventive, but I will keep my expectations in check because the execution doesn't always hit the mark.
