Great little neighborhood place. Super, super clean and very sweet owner. Food was made to order and hot and fresh. For four of us we ordered the sweet-and-sour chicken, orange chicken, General tso's, and an order of the cream cheese crab puff things. All were delicious and it was more than enough food. The only thing I would mention is that the fried rice really didn't seem like fried rice but more like steamed rice with a tiny bit of soy sauce tossed in, and they don't offer glasses of water, you have to buy a bottle, but those things aren't deal breakers for us. Don't let the gas station next door scare you, this place is GOOD ! I love their crab cheese puffs, they're big crispy and stuffed with delicious cream cheese filling. Their noodles are smoky sautéed char , delicious n fresh I loved my veggie lomein noodles. Better than Wok1. They were pretty quick I would say average time was 10mins til pickup. Lady was nice. Having spent years going to school near Chinatown and having the benefit of so many authentic places nearby, none could truly stand up to some of my favorites in that area. That said, this place is pleasantly close in terms of quality, even if it sometimes comes off Americanized. My wife picked up take out from here shortly after we moved into the area, and it's become a regular go-to for us ever since. Their combination special is decently priced and comes with fried rice, an egg roll, and a can soft drink. Even better, you can order the lunch special even after lunch hours for just a little bit more. This place has always been better suited to take out than dining in, so when the pandemic hit they didn't seem to be as hard hit as some of the other places in the area. I am grating this place 5 stars based on the food quality, value of the food received and the wait time for my food. I came here and was quite surprised about the price of the food. The lunch special, dine in, was $5.50. The lunch special, take out, was $6.50. I dined in and ordered the General chicken which was quite tasty for less than $6. It actually came with a drink, fried rice and an egg roll! Certainly an amazing deal if you ask me. The location was clean for the most part, but the staff had to come and clean my table a bit more after i already sat down. Food speed to get to my table was a bit slow if you ask me though. Overall about 14-16 min to get my food. It did not look busy enough for that and its not a 5 star restaurant. Nonetheless, i had hot food so i was a happy camper. After moving away from Meyerland, I needed a Chinese delivery place to save me on days when grad school and laziness get in the way of healthy cooking. So, when I saw this place next to a gas station, (which I lovingly call gas station Chinese food) I was determined to try it out. I needed to know if anything could replace my old Chinese delivery place. Well, I don't know. The food quality is the same, but the taste is somehow different. I feel like they use a lot more vegetables-not necessarily a bad thing, than what I was use to at the Meyerland places I would visit. However, what won me over is just how amazed and super nice they are when you decide to actually eat at the place. Everyone that has taken our order and been our waiter has been friendly and accommodating. I won't say you're treated like royalty, but you are definitely treated like a proper house guest. Plus, you'll get suggestions on what to try, which they wouldn't normally do if you're just they're to quickly order to go or pick up a delivery. Mongolian beef tends to be my go to, but chicken with any type of nuts, also are a win for me. I'm not too crazy about the Kung Pao, but that's about the only real critical thing from me. I am SO disappointed. Spent over 40 dollars for delivery and received fatty, overly sweet sesame chicken, and the Kung Pao beef was literally mostly celery, if you don't have enough beef to fill the order properly then lower the prices, but don't saturate the dish with celery. I called the restaurant to CONFIRM we could have hot mustard and it still didn't make it in the bag. I usually don't lower a rating for one bad order but it genuinely wasn't good, it was uneditable and my family is very unsatisfied. I don't have anything else to really say.....I don't know when I'll order again.....it's not cheap to be delivered and it's not the delivery service's problem if the actual food wasn't good quality and special requests made specifically to the restaurant aren't followed through. read more

Literally the most disgusting Chinese food I've had in years. Ordered the appetizer sampler and shrimp in garlic sauce. Everything was under seasoned. Lacking basic salt and pepper. I wasn't even aware it was possible to mess up a platter of fried food... But it is. The chicken wing was cooked in a tempura batter with no flavor. The wonton, bland. The egg rolls bland. I coated most appetizer items in hot sauce or duck sauce to make them tolerable. My shrimp and garlic sauce was shriveled frozen shrimp with onions in a nasty excuse for garlic sauce. Even with the entree coated in sauce, what should be a flavorful spicy sauce, it was a big soggy flavorless mess. It was literally shrimp and onions in a sauce. -___- Then to make matter worse the food was of such poor quality that I ended up with food poisoning for the next two days. I already had reservations about eating at a hybrid Vietnamese/ Chinese restaurant because each has their own distinct flavors.... I proceeded to order shrimp egg rolls which were $4.29 that's all i ordered today. they both went in the back. it took them 15 minutes to produce my egg rolls which were small, (looked like spring rolls to me). she was stingy and I had to ask for sauce. she gave me one soy sauce packet. No fortune cookie. Anyway, they were greasy, small and chewy. I did not enjoy them. I thought about getting a small edamame but that was an additional $4.29 plus tax. l will not be returning. Great place to grab a great lunch for cheap! The food tastes good, the staff is very attentive, and the restaurant is clean. There lunch menu and lunch specials are awesome! There's also a great selection to choose from throughout the entire menu. PRO TIP: If you're going to grab lunch here and want to take advantage of the lunch special pricing, then definitely dine-in! You can save money this way and like I said, service is quick, staff is very attentive to your drink refills and bringing you your check. They never make you feel rushed though. New owner! :( Many menu items gone. Replaced with generic Americanized Chinese dishes. Tofu is now heavily fried and drenched in sauce. Very few vegetables. I asked about the previous owner, was told he sold the restaurant. My meal was so bad, I threw it in the trash after a few bites.
