I'm going to be brutally honest, I rarely give 1-star to restaurants because I feel like I should always give a place more than one try before I really decide if it is good or not... HOWEVER, this restaurant definitely deserves 1-star (I'm bumping it up to 2-stars because of the service). First impression: This place is small, but not any different than other Chinese/asian restaurants that I've been to before. Service: Servers were nice and friendly, and food came out in a good amount of time. Food: This is were the problem starts. This place is serves Chinese, Indonesian and Japanese food. However, I fell as tho they should focus on one so that they can excel in one of the categories, rather than trying to market all three. We ordered the crab puffs to start, those were decent, just a little too hard. Next, I ordered a katsudon, but this definitely was not what I expected. I've had a few katsudons before and this one is by far the worst I've had. It was super soggy and the chicken cutlet was soggy from being fried in the egg. Also, the rice underneath was super wet and didn't taste very good with all that oil. My sister got the Spicy Soy Ramen and this didn't taste too good either. She said that the best thing in it was the egg. Now, if the food was the only thing, maybe I wouldn't have been so harsh, HOWEVER, when you're dining and see multiple pest, it's just not a very great atmosphere to be in. I killed a cockroach that was crawling towards me. Okay, I don't mind the occasional pest, because sometimes it happens, right? But when I saw another bug crawling out from underneath my plate after I was almost done eating, I lost all my appetite. I respectfully paid + tipped and left. This restaurant is located in a small strip mall. we happened upon it by accident, as we were checking out a different restaurant. When he saw the word "Indonesian", the choice was made. These were 5, well fried, and the filling creamy with exactly one small piece of crab inside each. my craving was sated, and now i don't need to order these again for another 13 years. Gosh! It breaks my taste buds to post this review because their food is very tasty. But, a restaurant can't survive on taste alone. Service is also important. This updated review is the result of a below average takeout experience. I called in one order of Singapore Noodles at 7:27p and arrived a few minutes after 8:00pm. Yes, 30 minutes later (after being told 10-15 minutes) only to be told that it was not ready, they should have told me to come later and that it would be another 10-15 minutes. I told the staff member that I intentionally called in the order well in advance so that it would be ready; I told the staff person that I had my young children in the car who were both anxious to get home (hence me calling the order in early!). She offered to bring it to the car when it was ready. So, I went along with it. However, 15 minutes later (8:15p) I had still not received my single order of noodles. The same staff person did refund my order and apologized. However, as a working mom....when I place an order for pickup, I need it to be ready in a reasonable amount of time. While waiting to ask for a refund, the customer in front of me said he'd been waiting for his order for 1 hour. Honestly, IMO, that is a bit unacceptable. And for the record, for a Friday night, the restaurant did not seem overly busy at all. It seemed pretty average for that time of day. Overall, I am a bit disappointed with the service this evening and will have to think twice about placing to go orders, especially when I don't have endless amounts of time to wait for the order. I went here solely to try out their Indonesian food. I was a little skeptical to try Raki because they have Chinese and Japanese food as well. But I decided to try anyways because I haven't eaten any Indonesian food for a while :) I was born and raised in Jakarta, have lived in Las Vegas for the past few months with no Indonesian food nearby. My husband and I ordered three dishes: Fried Batagor, Mie Ayam Jamur and of course Nasi Goreng. Service was pretty friendly - we didn't feel rushed and they were attentive. I think this is family-owned because their kids were there as well. We both liked the Nasi Goreng the best! There's something about real Indonesian fried rice that's different than any other fried rice. My favorite is the Fried Batagor. The peanut sauce was perfect (wish it was spicier actually) and the fish cake was really good. Our least favorite is the Mie Ayam Jamur. It was not how I expected it to be. There's also a lot of different ways to cook them and everybody has their own version. Even though it's not our favorite, the noddle was still pretty good. I love small restaurants like Raki, usually less packed than some of the bigger places further into town, but still with such great food. I found this place on maps, saw the reviews and decided to try it out. Let me say, by far the best fried dumplings and their special Raki ramen was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection.
