Before Rice Blvd I was never a fan of any type of raw seafood but the food here is GREAT! Let me tell you about the staff... they are AMAZING no exaggeration. Every time that I visit they are so pleasant and I can definitely tell that they want to please all customers. I always get the Spicy Attack (Fried spicy tuna, jalapeno, crab, cream cheese) and Croquette (fried mashed potatoes). For a campus restaurant they are a tad pricey but certainly worth it :) enjoy! read more

I have been here a handful of times and have NEVER been disappointed. The customer service is always superb. I usually see the same young man and woman working the front and they are as polite as can be. The food comes out in a good time and is always Tasty. My favorite dish from here is bibimbap. Really, really solid sushi place. For price, the probably have the best sushi in the area (I personally feel Kotobuki better but Rice Blvd is significantly cheaper). Every time I go in there, I get fresh, great tasting sushi for very good prices. Plus, they aren't limited to just sushi. Unless some of the other sushi restaurants in town, they have a wide variety of quality options like the Udon, Bibimbap, Bento, and Curry. The only reason Rice Blvd doesn't get a 5 star is a really small eat area. The tables are limited and very close together, which, in my opinion, slightly takes away from the great food you're enjoying. But, if you're looking for a quick, tasty sushi and more restaurant, there's none better in Toledo. read more

I give props to the one and only sushi chef, who makes great tasting rolls during rush hour. The place is always clean and the music they play goes well with the atmosphere. This is the only place in Toledo where I have been able to find Japanese curry! The meal did not disappoint. I went earlier on a weekday and waited only 10 minutes for my food. It was a chilly day, so I was delighted that they offered hot water to drink. While we were waiting the staff brought me sticky white rice and miso soup for my young daughter, with compliments of the chef. Anybody who shows kindness to children is an angel in my book! Oh my goodness, this place is amazing!! My boyfriend went to UT and when I'd come to visit him we'd eat at Rice Blvd at LEAST four times in one weekend. Now that he's no longer in Toledo we look for ANY excuse to make the three hour drive JUST for Rice Blvd. We've loved everything we have ordered from there but our absolute favorite is the Beef Yakisoba. The thing I like most about this restaurant is that they sell good sushi and at a decent price. I would say that on average the sushi rolls are a couple of dollars cheaper than you would find in most other sushi restaurants. I've also enjoyed their bento box and mochi ice cream. I followed a tip I heard to try this place after hearing that June, previously of Yoko and Kotobuki had opened his own place. The concept of this type of Japanese restaurant is new for the Toledo area. It is very casual. The aesthetics are simple and modern, but pleasing. It is brightly lit, but does not have a fast food feel, especially since there is always classical music playing. The food is absolutely wonderful. It is high quality carefully prepared. We had a ruby roll, bi bim bop and chirashe the first time and were pleased. We have gone back several times since and have great experiences every time. My favorite dish at Rice Blvd. is the Veggie Yakisoba Noodles made extra extra spicy with a well-done fried egg on top. I absolutely love the burst of flavor that you get the minute the noodles touch your tongue. The amount of salt and seasoning is always just right. The broccoli and kimchi that is within the dish are absolutely perfect. The veggies have perfect crunch to them. Ask for red ginger!! Really Good Japanese food, I Stopped in Here for Lunch One day and had a Bento Box. Well Priced and Delicious too, Its hard to find Well Priced Japanese around campus, Particularly if your just looking for some lunch. although i did not try any real sushi other than the California Roll in the Bento Box, those were Great. For the price, the sushi is pretty good. We ordered carry out, but the seating in the restaurant is small. We got 3 rolls for under $20. The rolls were fresh and delicious. I am so grateful that this resturant is on UT's campus. Their bento boxes are amazing and amazingly priced. I love the option of brown rice without an additional fee and the cafeteria-like arrangement of the resturant. The staff are incredibly kind and service is always fast.
