I heard about this place 15 years ago and finally decided to give it a try. I'm missing out. The dish I order was Sambal Goreng Kentang Buncis which is mainly stir fried string beans and potato but the flavor is amazing. I need to come back and try the other dishes. I ordered online and ran into something pretty frustrating right away. The lunch menu isn't listed online at all. They have other items and the dinner menu available, which makes it misleading if you're trying to order ahead. When I arrived and asked about it, the staff told me you have to come in person to order from the lunch menu. That's not something most people would expect, especially when everything else is posted online. As for the food, it was a mixed experience. I ordered the Kwetiau Goreng, and the flavor was good overall, but it had way too much egg, and the shrimp were pretty small. The General Joe's wings were unusually large, which felt a bit questionable. My coworker ordered the shrimp with lobster sauce and he said that those little shrimp were drowning in all that sauce. There's definitely potential here, but they should consider using larger shrimp in their dishes and making the lunch menu available online like everything else. This place is ideal if you wanted to have a quick bite inside, they have a couple tables. This is more of a take out place though and the lady working the counter was super friendly and explained/answered any questions I had about the menu. She was a sweetheart. The hype is real, this rice was absolutely perfect. I can eat rice everyday of my life and this place fits right in my top 3 places with great fried rice in Katy/Houston. We got a large pork/chicken fried rice with no onions and extra egg. This dish/size could easily feed at least 4 people. I can't wait to go back and eat again and again. Trying new dishes for sure but that rice will always be part of w.e meal we go with. Super happy we finally gave this spot a try, everyone needs to check this place out if fried rice is your thing. I was surprised to see the full menu. I've driven by here 100 times and honestly thought this was a quick counter-service, prepackaged or street food type of place. I ordered Shrimp Egg Foo Young ($12.95) and 2 Eggrolls ($3.00) through DoorDash. The shrimp & egg patties were delicious and huge! I also have to say this was some of the best, fluffiest, steam rice I've ever received in a delivery order. I prefer a savory brown sauce with Egg Foo Young but this sauce was just a little too sweet for my preference. The Eggroll was pretty standard fair. Meh. But, they have me intrigued. I'm an advocate for human rice, and that starts by enjoying the Rice Bowl in Katy. Indonesian food is hard to come by in the Houston area and this is a really good version of it. I ordered the Mongolian Beef which had carrots, jalapeños, onions and scallions in it. Despite a few of the beef pieces were medium rare, the dish was quite tasty. The vegetables were nice and fresh which complemented the beef rather well. The dish came with fried rice and an egg roll. I would recommend this restaurant. Just moved to the area, and my husband and I found this place at random. It was absolutely delicious!! I must start by saying the pot stickers, egg rolls, and crab puff were so fresh!! It's been a lot time since I've have those fresh, and I don't even like egg rolls but these were so good!! My husband was adventurous and tried the Indonesian food, and he's officially a fan! I only order this place off reviews and man or man the food is bad . I order beef fried rice with veggie and egg . Got a 3$ up charge and can't find the eggs . I ordered the shrimp with vegetables. Each lunch special comes with fried rice and an egg roll. I chose a vegetable spring roll instead, to my surprise they gave me two! They don't have fountain drinks, but they do have a cooler which had can soda in it and bottled water for sale. They also had a water filter machine. Love this place. They have my son's favorite beef and broccoli. The rest of us usually order from the Indonesian side of the menu and have tried most everything over the last few years. There's not much we don't like. Our most common orders are the Curry wings, Telor Balado, Rendang Sapi, Kwetiau Goreng, and Nasi Goreng Ayam Udang. Brand new only 8 weeks in this location! Sweet and sour chicken is cooked perfect, crispy but not dried out! Fried rice is very good, not greasy! The only complaint is the sweet and sour sauce is served cold to pour over your food! It would be better if the sauce was served warm or if the chicken was tossed in the sauce. We love this place for many reasons. My husband used to be an Expatriate in Indonesia and he loves Indonesian food and he admitted this place is good. The restaurant has good parking lot. The space inside is good and can fit in a small group. The menu has good variety (Indonesian menu). The people work there are nice, friendly and hospitable. It doesn't hurt to smile and be nice!
