I found my new obsession!! Especially the moment their honey bee iced latter hit my lips, I was sold! Not too sweet and delicious on so many levels! Just recently tried their green tea frappy and they've done it again! Won my taste buds with a great green tea flavor, not chalky, and not too sweet. The lavender iced latte was also good but didn't win my heart as the 2 drinks above. Not only is it tucked away in one of the buildings in Rice University, but it's cute and the drinks are legit! If you bring your own cup then you get a $1 off any drip coffee or $.25 off any drinks you order. Decrease plastic waste!

I come here once a week to get either a green tea freeze, green tea frappy, or nutty bee with almond milk. The entire place is student run and they have a lot of pastries and vegan cinnamon rolls and bars. Definitely get the cinnamon roll and heat it up when you're going to eat it. It's really big and just $2.50. This month I tried their drink of the month (toffee coffee). It was alright, I'm not a huge fan of the raspberry flavor and I got it warm. I think if I got it without the raspberry and cold it would've been better. There are some hits and misses with their drinks of the month but they're always very innovative and have new items on the menu. Service is sometimes a little slow during hours are class or in the mornings. It's also usually crowded and noisy. But the drinks are really affordable and pretty good.

Nice place with a good vibe, although during the mid-hours it can get deafeningly loud with student customers. Other times when it's less busy, I'm afraid it's still a tad too loud with the baristas blasting the radio (might want to turn it down a notch...) Pros: -Coffees taste great. The Pecan is especially delicious. -Coffee is CHEAP. Bring a mug and your coffee is less than a dollar. -Bright and fun atmosphere (for study or just hanging) -Temperature is relatively mild unlike most other subarctic locations on and off campus INDOORS. Cons: -They remodeled, but there still are too few seats and tables. For a university coffee shop (the only one really on campus except more expensive FLO) this is a minus. -There are not enough outlets - be nice if they had more extension cords at least. -Nowhere close to the best campus coffee shop I have been to, but not bad.

A nice warm & relatively queit place for a working afternoon. The "Milky Way" is very tasty & it costs $3.25.

    1. Pros: A. Delicious coffee B. Reasonable price C. Abundant outlets inside & outside D. Fast free WiFi inside & outside E. Not very cold F. Parking in Greenbriar Lot which costs $2/day. 2. Cons: may because the cafe belongs to the students here, noise is all around.

    Double shots lavender latte!!

Support student businesses! Plus, they have amazing coffee, and you can get drip for about a $1.

Service can be slow as everyone on campus comes here, but they're always friendly and the drinks are good!

Hip place and tastes great. I don't even go here anymore, but stopped by on my way down memory lane. Different location, same iconic logo.

The coffee is good and they have unique syrup flavors like fruity pebble and toffee cake. Cute indoors with plants and very earthy tones. Great service. We all ordered different milks -- whole, skim, coconut, and oat -- and they were able to accommodate all of us! I really liked my iced latte, which was rich without being overly floral or sweet. The pastries were also a hit, including the lemon poppy muffin, cherry turnover, chocolate croissant, and the spinach, mushroom, and cheese danish. The outside of this coffee shop and apothecary doesn't exactly have curb appeal, but the inside is bright, clean, and stylish, combining sleek lines with softer botanical elements to create a welcoming space. The barista was... indifferent at best, borderline unfriendly at worst. We did ask a couple questions that seemed to irritate her, but we were the only people in there, so we weren't holding up a line or anything. It was a bummer to feel unwelcome, but we were getting the coffee and pastries to go regardless, so it didn't ruin our breakfast.

New favorite coffee/study spot in Houston! This place is (I…read morethink?) in Montrose area, and a gem with parking both in front (with spaces) and street parking available. The baristas/servers are so friendly, and the shop truly feels homey. Perfection for studying, with inside ample tables/chairs with nearby outlets as well as some comfy chairs and a couch. There's also a cute covered outside area which I'm sure I'll experience post summer time. They have a few yummy looking food options at a great price point - including tamales and baked pastries. I picked the chicken tamale as a light lunch - I got the most delicious chicken tamale I've had thus far, served with kettle crinkle chips and a tamale sauce to dip. There are many coffee/non coffee options. I opted for the iced horchata latte - agree with prior reviewers that this is delish. It is not too sweet and a great blend of vanilla and cinnamon that masks the espresso. The atmosphere here is cozy but focused, with a mixture of people working/studying and hanging out. 10/10 will be back.

It is in a home-like structure with quirky furniture, but it makes me feel very much at home. The workers are also super nice and accommodating. The coffee is very reasonably priced and delicious. I always get their Horchata Latte---it is a perfect level of sweetness and the cinnamon complements the espresso perfectly (and it's only $5.50)! They have a variety of other drinks and pastries too, that I haven't been able to try. I highly recommend coming to study/catch up with a friend. There's a lot of coffee shops in the Montrose area but this has been one of my favorite.
