Looks like Mei Zhui Mei has died off and reincarnated into this Taiwanese joint. My understanding is that this is actually the 2nd location (original location is in nearby Admiralty Centre). Parking is available in the lot between the 2 halves of the mall, as well as a parkade in the NE corner. They have Taiwanese style teppanyaki food, rice + meat combos, and Asian desserts and drinks. I wasn't too hungry, so I went for their snack sized mini black pepper noodle to see what the food was about. Comes with half a cherry tomato, some broccoli, and a fried (over easy) egg. Sauce was decent and met expectations. Will be back to try an actual dish next time.

Great deals for the quantity and good quality food. Quick to take our order and accepted debit cards. Food court is always busy - just got takeout order. Food was packaged cleanly and bag for 25c. We got breakfast Set A , tasty and came with soup. Grilled chicken toast sandwich , and potato salad / egg pancake. Also peach oolong tea , with less sugar this was strong tea and very little sugar. It was quite busy but still only ~15 minute wait for food on a weekend lunch

We were in the food court grabbing breakfast and we saw this mango mochi, so we decided it would be a perfect dessert after breakfast! It was $5 for 1 piece. It's a half piece of mango covered in a thin glutinous rice. The service was fine since it was a take-out spot so I also don't expect much. We found the mochi-like exterior to be really nice, soft, and chewy. However, we found the mango to be disappointing. It was more tart, acidic, and it also had a fizzy taste - which means it's overripe and it fermented for too long. It was not the perfect dessert after all ... sad.

Another stall inside the Empire Centre food court serving more Asian fusion cuisine along with beverages. We tried the Teppenyaki Noodles w/ Chicken Thigh & Black Pepper Mushroom Sauce. I thought the chicken was quite tender and had decent flavor. However, the noodles were a bit overcooked and mushy. I would order other items at this vendor again next time.

Came to this location for the mochi fresh Mango. $5 per piece which seems like a pretty decent deal for what you get. The mochi was soft and the mango was ripe and sweet. Ended up going back and buying another one for the road along with a wintermelon grass jelly drink. Their food items looked really good as well, so will be back to try those items next time at this food court. Service was fast and efficient.

First of all this thing is huge. The mango inside was just about oerfect. The outside mochi part however was too thin. It was so thin that it fell apart. Service was good, no line when we went. This place is in an Asian food court, strong smell of Chinese herbals.

We came for breakfast the other day and got 2 sets. The food feels very healthy for a foodcourt. The danbing (egg roll) definitely needs the sauce that they have on the side of their counter. I liked the hashbrown (crispy). The noodles were also very flavourful The corn soup is definitely chefs kiss. Didn't taste so much like corn but more like a thick potato soup with corn sprinkled throughout. The chicken steak that I got for the other set wasn't dry and was well seasoned. Good economical breakfast option in Richmond. My only complaint was that it took awhile for the set to come out but other than that, I would get it again

Second location of Riceholic situated inside Empire Center's food court , which is going through somewhat of a renaissance itself . RH2 differentiate themselves from the OG Admiralty Center stall by opening at 9 am everyday to offer Taiwanese style breakfasts . What caught my eyes are their loss leader $5.99 teppanyaki noodles and you can have them with tomato mushroom or black pepper sauce . Not 100% sure if they're really prepared on a teppan (prolly not) but for under $6 I have zero complaints . If you're a fan of their mango mochi (who isn't) good news they are available here as well .

Mango mochi was excellent. Also enjoyed the Dubai chocolate mochi - which is one of the better priced in town.

What's appealing here is that their Instagram advertises daily specials so you can get some dishes for a great discount (like 40% off). We tried the braised combo (pork ear, pork intestines, fish cake), Taiwanese egg wrap, braised pork sauce rice with deep fried pork chop, and yam taro mochi balls. The braised combo is pretty solid - I didn't really like the funkiness to the intestines (I generally enjoyed it in barbecue settings) but the fish cake was fantastic. I also liked the texture of the pork ears. The Taiwanese egg wrap was a bit tasteless, so I wouldn't recommend. Braised pork sauce rice is the lu ruo fan which is a large portion with seaweed, bean sprouts, and soup on the side. Pork chop was flavorful and juicy but not crispy batter, which is okay. Yam taro mochi balls were sweet and chewy. I don't like taro but I loved this dessert! Service is okay. They give a water jug for self pour but the water jug was of questionable cleanliness. The specials were not discounted so we called it out and we weren't told that we had to put the order with a server, not the QR code, so it was a strange interaction. They ended up honoring the discount. Also, they shut down ordering 1 min before 10:30pm - guess they didn't want more money as we wanted to order 1 more dish and they preemptively told the kitchen to close. Sure it's fine no big deal, it was a lot of food.

The dining space is small but the decoration inside makes you feel like you transported to a different country. Marshmallow Thick Toast 4/5 The toast was about an inch thick, well toasted outside with a pillowy soft center. There's some melted chocolate on the bottom that added to the smores vibe. The marshmallows on top weren't very thick, so it melted to an even layer with perfect browning. The toast was cut into 9 pieces so it can be shared but given the portion I think 1-2 people would be fitting for this dessert. We weren't too hungry, so we shared amongst 4. Jasmine Tea Jelly 4/5 I really liked how fragrant the jelly was and that the jelly was a softer jelly that reminds you of Aiyu jelly. The after taste was a bit bitter but I feel like that tells me it was brewed and made and not just bought to serve. It's served with a splash of half and half I believe. To-Go I wanted to try and compare all the tea flavored jellies they had, Jasmine, Oolong and Earl Grey Tea Jelly. Packaged with small packets of the half and half to add later. The best was OOLONG 5/5- it had a slight roasted tea flavor that was refreshing and comforting at the same time. What you would want from a milk tea. Second best was Jasmine - fragrant and less bitter than the one I had in restaurant, typical jasmine flavor that's lightly floral and not too heavy Earl Grey 3/5 - it was good if you like earl grey like me, but it has an intensely strong fragrance and flavor that might be off-putting if you're not used to the taste. It was by far the strongest floral taste and smell of the three. I'd definitely be back to get these to go, they carry well and you can cross borders with them :)

We stopped by at lunchtime at first, but they weren't open yet. Since we really wanted to try it, we called again in the evening to confirm their hours before heading back--and we're so glad we did. The service was excellent from start to finish. They were incredibly patient and took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our absolute favorite was the shaved ice--it was refreshing, perfectly textured, and just amazing! Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for genuine Taiwanese food and warm, attentive service. Thanks for the recommendation Jando S. At first glance, the prices are average for this type of food. However, once I saw the humongous portions, I believe this vendor should clearly be categorized as cheap eats. For example, for roughly $10, you get three large pork chops (fried or marinated, I slightly preferred the fried more), sautéed cauliflower in XO sauce, soy braised tofu skin (so good I paid for extra $5 portion), crunchy pickles, stewed fish tofu, marinated egg, and a whole separate box of white rice. This is easily $15-20 in NYC. Same price for the crispy, tender, and juicy Chicken Nuggets (aka Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken) with all the trimmings. The quality of every item in the box was top notch and all very delicious. What many customers ordered that interests me for the next visit was the Salt & Pepper Chicken (椒麻鸡), which was basically a huge piece of pounded chicken thigh, battered like the popcorn chicken, with a mala sauce on top. This is a gem for the people who live locally in the area. Such bang for the buck!
