    Bubble waffle and milk tea
    Amy Y.

Located upstairs of the mall where the food court is. I came here a few years ago and it's still here. We wanted a small snack. Ordered a bubble waffle, milk tea, and a coffee. Waffle was made fresh- hot and crispy. Not overly sweet. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Hot drinks perfect for the cold weather. Many tables available for seating. A go-to spot for something quick and simple.

Vegetarian laksa (made vegan by subbing veggie broth for chicken broth)

This place actually has plenty of vegetarian and even vegan options, but they're not well-advertised. With many locations around Vancouver and Richmond, the online ordering system is pretty streamlined. Basically, you pick a noodle soup, a broth base, noodle type, 2 toppings, and a drink--this generally comes to $11.95 plus tax (often 10% off online). I was hunting around for vegan laksas and noticed they offer a veggie noodle soup option and a laksa broth option. So I phoned to make sure the broth is vegetarian/vegan -- it comes default with chicken broth, but they have a veggie broth option, so that worked out great. For toppings, I got cabbage and bean curd skin, and selected the spicy option. The portion is extremely large, especially for the price--I was stuffed and I'm a big eater. The broth quality was really good, quite complex, and amply spicy (though not too much). For laksa, not too oily/greasy. It may not be the finest laksa in town, but I was really impressed. For a food fair option, it's even more impressive. Highly recommended.

First off the bubble waffle was pretty tasty in flavor, but kinda soggy and not crunchy. I really liked the fish ball because of the sauce flavor and how well it was cooked. As for the main dish the fish soup noodles, it was good and well cooked, but the noodles didn't fit the soup style in my opinion and the portions for mushroom were very small. The presentation also wasn't that good, but my expectations weren't high since it wasn't like a fancy restaurant type of deal. This meal seems pretty simplistic to make and the price overall isn't bad.

This Bubble Waffle Cafe location is new, they recently just opened and they're already getting quite busy! I ordered their dry noodle (udon). Instead of meat, I substituted it with vegetables. It was pretty tasty. Service was good. I'd come back here again.

Bubble Waffle Cafe is one of the latest editions to the Harbour Centre foodcourt probably making a lot of the other restaurants jealous of their good business. I've come to this food court often for lunch and I can say that their meals are definitely one of the better ones you can get here - if they get your order right! My favourite dish here is the Laksa chicken noodle soup because of the amazing broth and the actual Hainan chicken itself. My only warning however is that this place does get pretty busy during the lunch hour so be sure to order online (and get $1 off) or go early so you're not waiting too long. Also, be sure to check your order BEFORE you leave. So many times they have forgotten the soup, utensils or a drink and it's too late to go back once you're gone. Oh, and there's also a stamp card where you can get a free bubble waffle after 5 purchases. If you do decide to go online to complete your order, you have to pay in-store. Nobody told me this but DO NOT line up if you have an online order, go straight to the self checkout kiosk and pay first. Then your order will be put into queue. They will not take your online order if you try to line up in person (but they don't tell anyone that either) and they made go to the new-at-the-time self checkout. Overall, good food but maybe not so quick service on rush hour times. Be sure to check your order is correct!

This restaurant is located in the food court at City Square Mall at 12th and Cambie. I've been eating keto-esk for a while and I generally ask for veggies instead of noodles when I get "noodle soup". Some places look at me like I'm nuts, while others (like this place!) offer it as part of their noodle options! yay!!! I got the lamb laksa combo (comes with sliced lamb, chicken and fish balls and the soup is rich and flavourful with a slight kick, I got a ton of Savoy cabbage and even some tofu as my noodles), a side of spicy chicken nuggets and their HK lemon tea (no sugar). It was all delicious and well priced. Next time I will get the hainese chicken soup cuz it looked really yummy. If you're eating in, go up the escalators to the second level, it's a lot quieter (less reverb and bounce) and outside the windows is a forest of trees to gaze at. Parking is underground ($4/hr!) but they validate the ticket which is good for 90min.

Your chicken nuggets tastes of rancid oil and oil rice was undercooked. Inedible. I have yet to try your Hainanese chicken later today.

Both were soo good! The tapioca one had a different texture - it was a bit more chewy. Not a bad option if you are gluten free! We also got their nutellacino which was basically a nutella cappuccino! It was definitely as good as it tasted. Their menu was a lot different than the last time I came here (around 3 yrs ago) and I really liked all the new items they introduced. We recently took a day trip to Vancouver for a free Pokemon Go event ... go Team Instinct :). I…read moreused to play Pokemon Go quite religiously but eventually that tapered off, so the event was a fun way to get reacquainted with the game. After walking around for a couple of hours, trying to entice various pokemon creatures into our traps (wait! is that vegan?!), one definitely tends to work up an appetite and this is where the star of our show comes in, WaffleLand Café ! A mere 10 minute walk from the Vancouver Harbour, walking into WaffleLand feels a bit like walking into a culinary pitstop on the way to Disneyland, a feeling that is no accident, completely by design. If you're a Disney addict like me, just having that theming is enough to serve as a subtle transport to a magical (some might say ..the *most* magical) place on Earth! There's just something about the whimsical nature of the storefront and within, coupled with little detailed touches that just serve to tie everything together. Honestly, I could end this post right here and I think it would still qualify as a complete write up lol but ... fat chance, I'm going to tell you about the food :), the food, the glorious food lol. Let's start by pointing out their completely separate vegan menu, I can never say enough about this gesture, it means so much to the community for so many reasons! You get to choose from a variety of waffles, most of them being sweet but not without some "sweet" (so to speak lol) savory options as well. My wife, being of the sweet persuasion, opted for the "Enchanted Forest" .. bananas, strawberries, almonds, a dallop of vegan cream and hazelnut sauce coupled with the thicker, fluffier liège style of waffle! Myself, being a savory character, I opted for the "Smoked Tofu Lover" with all my favorite things, avocado, hummus, smoked tofu, plus maple syrup and dusted with garlic sesame, coupled with a thinner, heartier norwegian style waffle. There's no wrong choices here, my friends! Plus, while I obviously had to put any low carb aspirations aside by agreeing to eat here, that doesn't mean I can't try to make smarter decisions along the way, with the fat and fiber content of my plate at least hopefully helping to slow my body's reaction to the waffle treat! We were both enamored with our respective dishes, just everything about them, the aesthetics, the flavor, the texture and super generous portion sizing! I regret that I neglected to take pictures of their drink menu as they had a great assortment of coffees, shakes, teas, cold drinks, cocktails and shots. I was really inclined to try myself an effervescent Duck Fart (I have issues, I know this....) but alas, twas not to be as the shot wasn't vegan due to Bailey's Irish Cream. So instead, I relegated myself to joining my wife in a delightfully sweet "Mickey in Waffleland", consisting of Grand Marnier, Tequila, and Tia Maria. Cheers! I love places that offer something unique, with superb character, a place with such a special charm that you're unlikely to find something similar elsewhere in your other travels and WaffleLand succeeded in hitting all of those high notes, a magical waffle experience, indeed!

I chose to sit outside on the patio instead of inside at the bar to take in that Canadian Vitamin D! It was sunny and hot, but the patio had a great view and was perfect for people-watching. My server, Dursh (or something close to that), was really cool. He asked my name, made me feel welcomed, and gave solid recommendations. He even picked my drink for me, which I ended up enjoying. He suggested a Benedict dish, but I'm not a fan of runny eggs. I had already decided on the El Camino poutine and plot twist....it also came with two runny poached eggs. Even so, it was still delicious, mainly because the yolk texture wasn't an issue with the crema on the dish. That poutine was an easy 9/10. It came loaded with cheese curds, pork carnitas that weren't dry at all, bacon, pinto beans, roasted pineapple for a little sweetness, salsa, jalapeños, pickled onions, salsa verde, cilantro crema, and spinach. The herb potatoes were seasoned so well too. All in all, a great last meal in Vancouver from the food to the service (even beyond Dursh, everyone was helpful) to the patio vibe. Great spot.
