Super tasty HK tea cafe style food inside the Empire Centre food court. This is their 2nd location (1st location is inside nearby Parker Place). Staff are professional and quite helpful when I was overwhelmed at the awesome food selection. Special mention. The place is no frills, but that's what makes the place awesome. Food is reasonably priced, and totally hits the spot. Their hash browns look and taste like the ones from McDonald's, which is a pleasant surprise. The New York steak is a bit thin, but one can't expect too much for the price. Served with some gravy. I also had the ham & macaroni soup. They don't skimp out on the fixings. Decent portion size as well. Worth the upgrade. Their (hot) milk tea comes unflavoured. Tasted great too. I would gladly eat here again. Here's to hoping they do well in the future. Recommended.

Deep fried chicken leg and egg on meat sauce spaghetti

First time trying this recently opened location of One Cafe, which is located in the food court of Empire Plaza. It was quite busy during lunchtime, as expected, so calling in advance to place your order is highly recommended. I got the deep fried drumstick and egg on meat sauce spaghetti. I normally get the baked spaghetti Bolognese but decided to give this one a try as i still get my meat sauce without the baked cheese. It was still just as good and tastes like your typical HK style bolognese. The deep fried chicken was quite delicious although somewhat salty. The skin was also a little bit over fried so it was a bit hard. I also got a hot milk tea and it came in a large size which was a bonus. I'd go back to try other dishes.

Another outstanding hk bfast place tucked away in a strip mall called empire centre. Such a good value and taxes in too. My set was around $12. Large steaming hot cup of silky smooth milk tea. Silky and suave scrambled eggs with buttered toast. The beef sacha was soft and tender and full of flavour. The soup broth also good. Added a touch of chili oil and bam! Perfect brunch! Service very fast. Given a pager to wait but waited no less than 5 mins. Can pay by debit too. The food court was nice and quiet around 930-945am. Lots of clean tables. Tables were also cleared quickly. Lots of seating and bright lights. I would repeat for sure. Cheers! Happy eating!

Satay Beef w/ Instant Noodle and Pineapple Bun w/ Scrambled Egg Combo

This vendor inside the Empire Centre food court was great. I really liked the quality HK cafe style food they offer. Most recent visit resulted in a delicious bowl of Satay Beef w/ Instant Noodle combo with a fluffy Pineapple Bun & buttery Scramble Eggs. There always seems to be a small line, but it moves quickly.

Pretty good value for an entire meal. This is the same HK style breakfast my grandmother would make.

Hong Kong style French toast with ice cream. So yummy

When I found out they had a location in Empire Centre, we headed there just after they opened at 9:00... and no line?!? We ordered their famous scrambled eggs with fish cutlet and toast, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The eggs were incredibly soft and creamy which was reminiscent of omurice. The fish cutlet was perfectly fried (crispy on the outside and flaky inside) which paired beautifully with the savoury onion sauce. We also had the pineapple bun with satay beef, which was another winner. The sweet, fluffy bun and rich, savoury satay filling were a perfect combination. Salty and sweet! Of course, no Hong Kong café experience is complete without Hong Kong milk tea, and Cha Don's version was excellent... smooth, rich, and exactly what you'd hope for. It's easy to see why there's always a lineup (which started right after we got our food). Great execution of Hong Kong café classics, friendly service, and food that's well worth making the trip for. I can definitely see myself coming back.

We decided to order take out and enjoy it at home to avoid the crowds of people. Service was quick and the large menu with pictures displayed outside the stall was helpful. All the food in the picture came out to less than $40 which is a decent deal in this time and age. I liked the broth of my macaroni soup as it was well seasoned, but not heavy at all. My boyfriend ordered satay beef vermicelli and it was flavourful and satisfying. The scrambled egg toast is a must if you love soft runny eggs between bread. It's simple stuff that can be done at home if you're really craving it, but the convenience definitely hits...That, and a couple cups of yuenyeung to save the day.

I used to come here often with friends and families for breakfast and wanted to see whether it still tasted just as good. We each got two items from the breakfast combo, A through D. A to Cs are our usual options and upgrade to French toast. The eggs were somewhat on the drier side and i personally prefer fluffy ones. The beef noodles and the congee continue to be my favorites. The beef noodle broth is flavorful and the congee definitely comforted my soul. The items listed in D are always a miss. We have tried all items and none of them was delicious. For example, the steamed rice rolls were very doughy. Other times, they were very dry. The items in D sometimes felt like they're frozen dim sum items sold at grocery stores. Service is a hit or miss depending on which server you get. Sometimes you get servers who come and refill tea and provides actual service. Other times, no one comes by at all even when there is no tea in cups, etc.

Solid, and a ton of meat. Meat slightly too dry but still good. Noodles were nice texture. Soup noodle with chicken and pork chop - it was a build-your-own meal and we choose pork chop and chicken. Comes with a bowl of soup instant noodles. The pork chop was same as the one above. The chicken was a whole chicken thigh. Chicken was good. flavourful and well cooked. Soup noodles were fine but got soggy as they always do over time. Side of scrambled eggs with toast - eggs were good. Nice soft cook on it. Came with the noodle bowl as a combo. 2 drinks. All that for $31 all-in and we couldnt finish it between 2 people. Food is a solid 4/5. Service is as you'd expect for a food court stall. People were friendly enough but theyre super busy so they move you along. This is in the President Plaza food court so its definitely dated but totally fine for a simple budget meal. Value of this place is easy 5/5. Would recommend if you're in the area and want some affordable HK cafe food.

We only had our credit cards and I asked the person at the cash register if they take credit card, she said nope but there is an ATM upstairs at the Superstore. We went upstairs to grab some cash from the ATM out front. When we got back downstairs, the lady in charge already had reserved a table for us and immediately explained to us what is served during the breakfast hours. She gave us a few recommendations and we went with the wonton with brisket as they ran out of fish balls and the HK Style Grilled Beef with Black Peppercorn Sauce. Both items were marvelously well made, the peppercorn sauce is EXACTLY how its done in HK and all major cities with a huge HK population. But the winner is the wonton. By golly, I have had hundreds of bowls of wonton, I have made hundreds of wonton dumplings for my family's business but this one really stands out amongst all of them. The service is efficient and very friendly and they greeted so many regular customers with kind words asking about their work and family. Everything I was craving. Good amount of sauce, cheese, and fish. Borscht soup is tomatoey and acidic (not my pref, but well-loved by my boyfriend). Cream soup is rich and not too heavy. HK milk tea and mix with coffee are tasty.
