In my recent visit I ordered my go to dish Wok Fried Spicy Salted Pork Chop with Fried Rice. There is so much wok hay in the fried rice and the pork chop is flavourful with bits of fried garlic, chilli, green onion and cilantro on top! There is always a line up but they work super fast and they hand you a buzzer so that you can go look for a table in the food court and be alerted by the buzzer when your order is ready. It was a good deal for members at $26! I preordered on phone so when I got to the food stall, I only needed to pay at the counter and picked up the food. The food was ready by the time I got there, so I didn't have to wait. The staff were friendly and efficient. They took orders quickly. The quality of each dish was better than expected. My dad (who is from Hong Kong) was craving HK style breakfast one day so we went out in search of it! He specifically wanted One Café. There are two locations, one in Parker Place and one in Empire Centre. We arrived at around 11:30am and it was starting to get busy. We ordered a few items and waited for about 10 minutes for everything to be ready. By the time we got our food, there was a looong line-up of people waiting to order and to get their food. The staff were efficient and incredibly busy so there wasn't much service, but that is also expected at a food court stall. We ordered the Signature Sacha Beef with rice noodle ($9.50), Shredded Pork with Salted/Preserved Vegetables on rice noodle ($8.50), Pan Fried Chicken that came with toast and eggs ($10), and a Pineapple Bun with Egg ($5.50). The first 3 dishes also came with a free hot coffee or milk tea! This breakfast was comforting, homey, and definitely hit the spot. It was flavourful and simple, but delicious. The dish that stood out most to me was the Pan Fried Chicken because it managed to stay super crispy on the outside and it was so tender on the inside, even though it was covered with a gravy sauce. The Pineapple Bun with scrambled eggs was a fantastic combo. The slightly sweet and soft bread paired with savoury fluffy eggs were such a delight. Located inside the Parker Place food court, it's easy to spot the lineup for it, as it's the busiest stall that always has a line, even at 8:30am. I had the satay beef instant noodles combo, which included toast or bun and an egg fried any way you want. I went with the sunny side up egg. For $14 it was pretty good (although it reminded me of how much prices have gone up since COVID), the broth was creamy and the portions were decently sized. Not the best satay beef I had in this trip, which unfortunately goes to Cha Don. Slight bit of wait for the food, but as I said it's a very busy stall. I have tried a few of their baked casserole rice and spaghetti options and those are pretty good. I prefer the tomato sauce to their white sauce, but both are decent, and have very good portions for the price. I definitely can't finish one casserole in one sitting. Also tried their curry chicken cutlet casserole, and that was tasty, although it was more spicy than I expected from a HK/Cantonese place. There's 10+ tiny shops, but One Cafe gets about 80% of the customers, that's how good it is. The prices are reasonable and the taste is on point. I recommend the marinaded beef noodle soup, it was so good! The hk lemon tea was bitter and sweet, balanced to the sip. Tip: Knowing how to speak Cantonese here is helpful, but some staff do know English. This is located in a strip mall with lots of shops and food vendors. This is a popular one, lots of folks ordering to eat there or for takeaway. There's lots of parking around which is nice. I ordered their baked pork chop with spaghetti originally but they packed it with fried rice instead. It took about 25 minutes to get it. The spaghetti sauce was sweet and had a ketchup flavor but went nicely with the egg fried rice underneath and the pork chop. We also ordered a kaya butter French toast. That came out first, three layers of bread with Kaya butter in between and topped with condensed milk. Very good. Both orders came with your choice of coffee, tea or Hong Kong style milk tea. A very typical HK-like Cha Chan Teng dining experience. Don't expect English help...bring a canto speaker if you have to. I've had a 4 star experience here and a 2 star experience here. So I'm going to average it to 3. Overall the value is really good. The first time I came (weekday 2pm). There was a mini line up. Food came pretty quickly minus the baked pork chop on rice which they warned would take 25 minutes. It took about 35 minutes. Food was absolutely delicious though and the milk tea was pretty good. And my baked pork chop on rice was absolutely worth the wait. It was a bit hard to find a table to sit down at, but you just have to use your eagle eyes and wait patiently. Hands down - 4 stars. Today I went again (Saturday 11:30pm). The line up to wait for food was long, but relatively quick. I did not opt for the baked pork chop on rice this time cause the sea of people is ridiculously scary. They told me the wait would be around 10 minutes. I waited around 35 minutes for my simple A1 & A5. They're so crazy busy I feel bad for them. An unending line up that sort of merges with the people (I.e. me) waiting for take away. And an unending stream of phone calls for pick up of food. The wait in itself isn't "TOO" much of an issue for me. But the food and milk tea this time wasn't as good, and they forgot my toast, which I paid extra for :( All I've learned from this is that I don't think I'll come again during the weekends. Or during prime lunch hour. Or maybe never opt for take out here again. But overall, value is still there. I got their all-day breakfast meat-lover combo which was a cutlet fish fillet with scrambled eggs, toast, and a hot milk tea for just $9.50. The eggs were so soft and the fish cullet was fried really well, not over done. The toast was buttered with chives I think which was really interesting and yummy! I'll definitely visit again. This HK cafe place is located in Parker Place food court and is generally very busy. Expect to line up and wait a while for your food. I've been here many times now and have tried lots of items on their menu. I'm not really a fan of their traditional HK breakfast - i.e. macaroni in soup, toast, etc. I also feel that you are able to get these food elsewhere without the long queue. The items on their baked menu as well as on their meat on rice/spaghetti menu are all quite good, except for the baked fish in cheese cream sauce. Not sure if this baked dish should taste as is in Hong Kong but it was very very bland. We quite liked the baked chicken in curry sauce as well as the baked pork chop in tomato pineapple sauce. What I repeatedly went back for was the baked spaghetti bolognaise with meat balls. OMG it was the best I've ever had compared to all the local HK cafes I've tried. Not only did they give you LOTS of meat sauce but it also came with meat balls! I personally love HK style bolognaise and I could say that I've finally found the one my heart is content with. Mind you, this dish is very carby and you can probably save some for another meal. If you're looking to consume some spaghetti with meat sauce but don't want your entree to be so carby, there is another item on the menu - i.e. pork chop with rice/spaghetti in meat sauce. This dish isn't baked and it doesn't come with as much spaghetti as the former. Side question...does anyone actually eat rice in meat sauce? I deducted one star for the long queue as well as the ambiance at Parker Place. The food court at this Asian mall is usually quite crazy on weekend mornings as it's packed with people. You generally have to share a table with strangers. There will usually be people standing very close to you and watching you finish your food so that they can get your table. We came on a Saturday morning at 8:20am and there was a small line to order. After we had ordered and sat down, the line was long and they told people the wait would be around 30 minutes (depending on what you ordered) I ordered the thin noodles with pork veg and the satay beef macaroni with an additional side of egg and toast for extra $2 (approx). We got milk tea for both. They are very generous with the amount of milk tea they give. The cup is bigger than usual places. It also is pretty smooth, not bitter and the tea flavour is pretty strong. For me the satay beef macaroni and egg toast was too much for 1 person. I couldn't finish it but for others it will be just right. The macaroni was cooked just eight and the satay beef had a lot of flavour to it. The egg was a tad overdone but overall worth it for the price. Overall I would go back to get breakfast again and try their lunch items when available. It's economical, the portions are decent and the milk tea is not bad read more

My first time here and ordered their B6 (fried chicken leg with fries) for take out. Stingy on the fries!? I was expecting they might give me a bit more fries. I don't know if the portion is the same as if I were to eat there vs take out. I don't know. Nonetheless the food was still good. Their cold lemon tea is good too! This was the fifth Hong Kong Style Cafe that I visited during my time in Vancouver for my trip and it was awesome! I visited this restaurant today at 1:13 P.M. and it was pretty quiet in the surrounding areas around the restaurant. Also, the service was good when I was ordering my food. The first item that I ordered was the Pork Cartilage And An Egg With Rice In Swiss Sauce which contained vegetables that were cooked well, meat that was tender, rice that had good texture, and egg that was really fluffy. The next item that I ordered was the Pan Fried Chicken Filet And An Egg With Rice In Green Onion Oil. The vegetables were cooked well, the egg texture was good, and the rice texture was good. Also, the meat was tender and juicy. Furthermore, the dish contained the perfect amount of green onions in it. The last item that I ordered was the Hot Hong Kong Style Milk Tea which had the perfect level of sweetness and a very balanced flavor. Overall, this was a really good experience and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to go to a good Hong Kong Style Cafe! read more
