We came specifically for the mango mochi, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! It was about the size of my hand, something I've never seen before. Soft, chewy, creamy, and packed with perfectly ripe mango, it was a total treat. Definitely big enough to share... though I happily ate about two-thirds of it myself! We arrived right when the shop opened, so the mango mochi was freshly stocked and priced at just $5 CAD. I'm convinced mangoes in Vancouver are on another level compared to LA--especially after another great mango experience at Macu Tea Robson. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is tucked away on the second floor of an older plaza, and it was tough to find a seat since many people were having breakfast.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ended up enjoying our mango mochi downstairs just standing, and it was still totally worth it![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I only tried their viral Mango Mochi and it absolutely met the hype. The mango was so juicy and sweet. Mochi was delightfully soft and chewy. No issues with service.

Came here to try their mango mochi as it was recommended to us by multiple people and it did not disappoint! I got 2 mango mochis to try. The large pieces of mango were ripe, sweet and juicy which was wrapped in a soft, pillowy, chewy and stretchy mochi. The mochi skin wasn't too thick and not too sweet. The sweetest solely comes from the freshness of the mango and it was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This restaurant is in a food court on the second floor of the building which wasn't very hard to find.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It is attached to a parking structure which had plenty of parking spaces. They also offer traditional Taiwanese dishes which I did not try but I highly recommend the mochi and would go back to try out other items on their menu next time I'm in town.

Went here specifically for the mango mochi. It took a minute to actually find the place, but there was a parking garage available. The mochi was absolutely phenomenal. The mochi is the size of a half mango. It's quite big and so succulent and juicy. The mango is so ripe and perfectly suited for the mochi. After quickly finishing mine, I wanted to get another one instantly. Craving one right now!

I found out about the mango mochi from a YouTube video. Apparently, you have to pre-order online because they only sell 30 per day, so I placed an order for three of them for the day I flew into Vancouver, for a 2 PM pick-up. When I arrived, they couldn't find my order and it turns out that I had accidentally placed it for the following Thursday. Luckily, they still had maybe 10-15 left that day and I was still able to pick up my three. Each mochi is $4.99 (+ tax). The label recommends that you fridge it if you don't eat it within 2 hours, and then you should eat it within 24 hours. We ate ours later that evening after it being in the fridge for a few hours, and it was still good. The mango is really sweet. It tasted like they also added condensed milk in there. We saved the third one for the next day, and it was no good. The mochi was hard and crumbly. That being said, I wouldn't recommend buying any extra, and if you can, eat it a few hours after you buy it, for peak freshness. They do keep it in the fridge, so you may want to wait for it to warm up to room temp (we didn't wait, and it was fine). It was a good mochi but I don't know if I'd go out of my way to get it again if I visit Vancouver again - but nice for a one-time experience. FYI, Rice Holic is located in a food court on the second floor. You have to turn into the parking deck and go inside, then upstairs. I was thinking it was just a ground level store front and spent a good five minutes walking around looking for it.

Saw this spot on social media so I wanted to give it a try and it was just okay ish. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Located in the upstairs food court so took us a second to find out where it was.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got there around 1pm and it wasn't busy so my order came out fast, I ordered the special promo regular size includes 2 mangos mochi and 2 fresh mango slushies. First initial bite was underwhelming the mochi was not chewy it was rather sticky, mango was sweet tho. The drink was good too I like that I had pieces of real mango whenever I took a sip. Overall I don't think the mango mochi is worth the hype but it was nice to check out, there are many other item on the menu and near by stall for you to check out as well!

Some of the best mango mochi! Takes me right back to Hong Kong. This place went pretty viral and I had it bookmarked as a spot I needed to try on my trip to Vancouver. I haven't found anything similar in the States, and was so excited to finally come! It was a little difficult to find, but is in the mall upstairs with the other food spots. We got 2 mango mochis to share, which came out to 10 CAD. Not a bad price! They were absolutely DELICIOUS. Think of the freshest juiciest mango enveloped in the softest chewiest mochi. The pairing is absolutely immaculate. This is one of the things I could eat so many of since they're just so good and refreshing. Definitely recommend trying the mango mochi! They also serve other food items too, but I'll have to try those another time :)

Two orders of the incredible mango mochi. Yes it's legit.

Ok I'm giving it 4 stars mainly for the mango mochi and mango drinks. Yes they are that good. Each mango mochi is a full mangos worth. The drinks are superb too. Now, the food. It is probably worth only 3 stars - if that. My salt and pepper chicken thighs were alright. Not too bad, but I've had better Taiwanese food. My wife really didn't like her chicken noodles. They seemed like half assed sweet and sour chicken, like some super Americanized Chinese food. Cmon, they can do better. My advice is come here for the mangoes but go elsewhere for food.

I came at 10:50 AM on Saturday. Things were packed. I luckily found a parking spot in the busy parking lot. It was a difficult to find the place, but I walked up the slope to the second level of the parking lot and through the doors, and immediately was in the food court with Rice Holic in front of me. Rice Holic wasn't open yet, but there was still a line forming! I was the third person in line. Once opened, they quickly took our orders. I didn't order ahead but there were plenty of Mochi available. They only take debit or cash (which I was not prepared for) but I quickly got my Mochi and headed out! The Mochi itself is good. It's chunks of mango coated by a soft Mochi. The dish is a bit sticky and juicy so can be messy but I didn't struggle that much. Overall delicious, and would recommend if you're in the area!

Came here for the mango mochi. So delicious. They have a pre-order system available on their website now, in case you don't want to brave the trip to Richmond only to find out that they're all sold out :( There's a limit of 6 mango mochis per person on each day if you pre order on their website, but there shouldn't be a limit for in person buying. They also show how many mango mochis are available for pre order for each day on their website! We pre ordered for a Monday at 1-2 PM (you have to pick the time window for pick up, not sure how lenient they are on it/if they sell your mango mochi if you're late, LOL). I pre ordered 3 (one for my boyfriend, one for me, and one for a friend) but ended up getting another one when we got there to split with my boyfriend because they still had some mango mochi in store by the time we got there! It was so delicious and the natural sweetness and firm yet fleshy texture of the mango went perfectly with the mochi. No other fruit could ever do it. Try to imagine biting into an apple mochi, or an orange mochi... not so appealing now, is it? Plenty of people in line were also there for the mango mochi solely, the hype not dying down proves just how good the quality of the food itself is!

They serve up taiwanese food! Food options are good. they are known for their mango mochi that can only be purchased in stores. They are located in the food court, it's busy but there are share tables first come first serve. Staff are nice and friendly. Thai Chicken fried rice Seafood and crab roe noodle Mango mochi

Let's be real - you came to try the viral mango mochi. Highly recommend coming early since they sell out quickly. The mango was fresh and sweet and the mochi was chewy and delicious. Overall a great dessert or snack. Although the rest of the menu looked delicious, I had already eaten but will try it next time.

Hei Hei Rice Roll is legit good, totally recommend, even my daughter too, I thought of her ( since she LOVES rice roll and couldn't make it on this trip with me) while enjoying these roll but when I shared with her the photos and mention that we will go back here with her- she already visited. She said it was so good! Hei Hei Rice Roll is located at the Richmond Public Market, oh wow - this place is really popular, on the 2nd visit I was the first in line then the line wasn't so long but while waiting for our order, the line got super long. I was lucky I didn't wait long in line. Best to arrive early. I am not sure what the secret to the rice roll but Wow, it's so thin, silky, smooth texture with the toppings, so great together. The last 2 times we had rice roll with my daughter at Portland and Seattle- followed per Instagram reels- those did not even compare to these rolls. My first visit I got the combo which is the best deals, starts at $15.50 but depends on what you select for the selection for rice rolls and congee. I got the pork & preserved egg congee, shrimp, mushroom, pork rice roll. The 2nd visit I got the combo again, with liver & preserved egg congee, scallop and shrimp rice rolls, but I got my order wrong for the roll- they missed the shrimp. fyi-I found out that bean sprout, corn, toppings are free! Both combo came out to $17. super cheap! Cash only, they take USD but its the same dollar $ value. I wish they take credit cards, hehe. & the Verdict: Yummy, the congee hits the spot for comfort food, loved how it is cooked and they add peanuts too. Love the packet of sauce for the rice rolls, the umami-ness, so good. Best to eat it hot and fresh! Don't forget to ask for chili sauce, to add that extra spicy kick! For now, I am not sure I'll ever find a spot that is closest to Hei Hei for my congee and rice roll fix until I get to visit Richmond, BC again.

When I found out they had a location in Empire Centre, we headed there just after they opened at 9:00... and no line?!? We ordered their famous scrambled eggs with fish cutlet and toast, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The eggs were incredibly soft and creamy which was reminiscent of omurice. The fish cutlet was perfectly fried (crispy on the outside and flaky inside) which paired beautifully with the savoury onion sauce. We also had the pineapple bun with satay beef, which was another winner. The sweet, fluffy bun and rich, savoury satay filling were a perfect combination. Salty and sweet! Of course, no Hong Kong café experience is complete without Hong Kong milk tea, and Cha Don's version was excellent... smooth, rich, and exactly what you'd hope for. We went around 1pm and surprisingly they ran out of a lot of options including the baked pork chop rice that I really wanted to try. Despite that, we still gave this place a try since there is barely a line, very unusual for this place. We ended up with the scallion chicken noodle (breakfast item), satay beef vermicelli (breakfast item), and black pepper baked filet over rice. These are stuff out of what I usually get, but I still enjoyed them. The scallion chicken dish was $15 which is a bit steep especially given the chicken is tiny but comes with hot drink. The chicken is a grilled chicken with skin which is flavorful, though the noodles were a bit underseasoned so it is ideal to add the sauce from the chicken into the noodles. The satay beef vermicelli is amazing. The beef is so tender and flavorful, and enhances the flavor of the vermicelli. The eggs and toast were delicious too - eggs were scrambled over easy, and the toast is very crunchy. Black pepper baked filet over rice was pretty hearty. I love the fragrance of the rice and the filet is very tender. The black pepper sauce does clash and dominate some of the flavors but it is still nonetheless well executed. For the drinks that come with the meals, we got milk tea and milk tea + coffee (yin yang) - these drink are high in caffeine even with the small size! Will update to 5 stars when I try the full suite of items they are known for, since the dishes we got were good but stuff that I could've gotten elsewhere.

You do see many elderly Asians here, maybe that's why there is cheaper options? They do occupy the tables at the food court chatting for a long period of time. Think of this as another version of Timmies, but with more food options. I was told the T&T here is the largest and it is busy at all hours. The parking area near it is always full.
