Sometimes the best option is to go somewhere else. Walked in as a party of 5. Once inside we noticed an acrid, acrylic smell that's not overpowering but hard to ignore. Service was a bright spot but they weren't too busy either. And their Pepsi fountain was down which seems to be a thing around this area lately. The food arrived pretty quickly but the crab Rangoons were more like cream cheese Rangoons. Kung Bao Chicken is supposed to be spicy but not here. But my fiancé's Orange Chicken with Lomein tasted strange and she ended up leaving most of it on the table. As soon as we walked out my fiancé threw up. The chicken was just off. And for her it was just bad. I don't like writing low star reviews but when your fiancé can't even keep the food down it is what it is. For the $65 spent we would have been better off ordering Casey's pizza to go as it's right across the parking lot. Needless to say we won't go back. read more

Went there Sunday, I got generals chicken which was not very good and quite overcooked, wife got soup which she liked and is really the only reason this isn't getting two stars. Having tried several different Chinese takeout restaurants in the KC area, this one is very good. It especially surprising being that it's all the way in Louisburg. I have eaten here on a couple different occasions and I was not disappointed. The quality of the food is consistent and not varied from each visit. The portion sizes are acceptable and not too small or too big. The Crab Rangoon, Egg Rolls, Spring Rolls, Fried Rice, Beef LO Mien, Beef and Broccoli, and General Tso's are all really good. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give the quality and taste of the food an 8. The restaurant is very small, but it's extremely clean and you can watch all the food prep from the dinning room / lobby (always a plus). The staff are friendly and clearly family. If ordering takeout, it's really fast. A normal expectation would be having your takeout ready in about 10 minutes from phone ordering. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try. I understand there are two other locations (Lenexa and Tonganoxie) . I have not tried either but hope they are as well run as this one. read more

After work, my Girlfriend bought me some orange chicken/fried rice with with crab Rangoon and an egg roll. Crab Rangoon and egg roll were acceptable, but the chicken and rice were not good. I'm not sure what chicken they're using, but it is not of decent quality. The chicken was EXTREMELY dry and felt like I was chewing on very thin pieces of wood. It was absolutely disgusting. On top of that, it was heavily breaded, almost as if to cover up how low quality the chicken was. The fried rice was very bland and had no vegetables in it. I'm no expert, but most fried rice I've ever had comes with some kind of veggies mixed in. Very disappointing experience and we won't be ordering here again. read more

I started out at the Rice House in Lenexa and enjoyed it. When I moved to Louisburg, I was pleased to see one here. The food is consistently good Chinese American fare. It is always hot and fresh, made to order. The Hot and Sour Soup is good. I like the Princess Shrimp but I'd suggest the sauce be on the side with take out so it doesn't get soggy. Tasty nevertheless. My kids love the Lo Mein and combo fried rice. read more

The lunch special is certainly worth the money here. There is a great deal of food for cheap. The dishes can be a bit heavy in the celery at times which I think is a filler, but if you're ok picking around that, it's good sauce and other ingredients are ok. This is a good Chinese restaurant but it differs each visit. They dont have either consistantly bad or good food. The main worker does speak english well but she does her best. Went yesterday for my birthday lunch. Excellent service and fresh made to order dishes. Asked for extra cashews and green onions on my Springfield Cashew Chicken. Ordered shrimp fried rice and Sesame Chicken combo along with crab Rangoon and steamed dumplings. Lots of food to try. The dishes were fresh and delicious. Portion size was big. Sauce was served on the side so packaging up left overs kept the meat crispy when reheating. Someone told the owner it was my birthday so she brought out carrot cake. She was an excellent host who asked if we had been there before. As we left, she followed us out with a menu to look over for our next visit or take out. Lovely lady. First, when we walked in, we had intended to eat there but there was not a single clean table aside from an 8 person table and there was only two of us. There was no bus boy cleaning tables either. There were a lot of people waiting for food. I have to guess one couple had been waiting awhile because he kept looking at his watch. We waited about 10 min for sweet and sour chicken, general tso's chicken and crab Rangoon. My husband ordered his general tso's chicken extra spicy. When we got home it was not spicy at all, he had to go back to get a new order. My sweet and sour chicken wasn't bad but it's pretty hard to mess that up. Overall while it might be nice to have a Chinese restaurant back in Louisburg, it would have been nice for it to be quality. My husband describes it as the most bland tasting Chinese food he has ever had. read more
