Excellent carry out Chinese food. They have a good Kung Pao Chicken. Lucky Wok also makes a good Springfield Chicken plate, and they keep the chicken separate from the rest of the entrée so that the breaded chicken doesn't get soggy. Even if they're busy, I still get my food within about 15 minutes. read more

The food is great. Prices are great. Lunch specials are only $7.95 and runs from 11am to 3pm. Food is done fast. Some seating indoors but mostly seems to be known for takeout. Staff are hard working and nice and the place is always busy with people picking up take out orders. I really enjoyed vegetables and lightly fried tofu with garlic sauce and broccoli. They made it with a perfect sauce that was flavorful with real garlic and didn't include starch and gelatin like some places add. Some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. I've tried the restaurant on the other side of the road and this place blows it out of the water. They have amazing egg drop soup. I have tried the lo mein, orange chick, and a few other items and they have all been very good and fresh. Great portions for left overs or splitting. read more

I am SO MAD AT MYSELF for not taking pics of the food from Lucky Wok!!! This was GOOD!!!!! We have this place a try because our usual spot in Lee's Summit is closed on Monday. Uh oh...we have a contender!!!!! We called ahead, and the food was ready to go right on time. Very comparably priced to the spot we usually go. We took ours home, but looking around the modest-sized restaurant, it appeared clean and quiet. Just the kind of place to go if you want to just chillax and enjoy your meal. We both ordered the chicken with broccoli, and it was outstanding!!! If you call in an order (which I recommend carry out as it does only have a handful of tables inside), it is always correct and piping hot. Average at best, Chinese Food! We worked the Sesame Chicken and the chicken was dry and hard, we could hardly chew it. Honey Chicken was super(and I mean SUPER) battered. Yep, I agree with the other reviewers. This is a great new little take out joint in south Lees Summit. One could eat here but there are only 3 tables so it would be a good idea to plan on taking it out. I can vouch for the soup ( I have the egg drop soup mixed with hot and sour), egg rolls and the mu shu pork. All were delicious and reasonably priced. The lady at the counter was friendly and easy to understand. It would be a mistake to assume they wouldn't be busy just because they are newly opened. Apparently word of mouth and possibly traffic from Walmart has given this little place the exposure they needed. There were several orders called in and two other people waiting for their orders. There were four adults working at top speed so keep up with the orders so the wait wasn't too long- maybe 10-15 minutes. If their prices stay at the same they will get a lot of business from me because their food is really good. read more

Just keep going where you've been going. I'll be going where the food is fresh and delicious. We had the crab Rangoon appetizer. Very generous and hot and so crispy good. Nice dipping sauce too. My son got the Sesame chicken with egg drop soup. He loved the soup. The fried rice is just fried rice but nice amount of egg in it and fresh made. The egg rolls were crispy and nicely fried. I got the General Tsp Chicken. Great sauce, not too spicy. Chicken was fried well and not old or dry or crunchy hard. (Can you tell I've had some bad egg rolls and nasty chicken at other places??) Typical menu... So many choices for my future visits. Sadly no drive thru. The eating area is very small... Only a few tables. Clearly this is mainly a take out place. Normally pretty good food BUT they are definitely getting cheap. Ordered $75 of food which consisted of 4 entrees 1 with Steamed rice and 3 with fried rice. They gave my son a single container of steamed rice and the same amount of fried rice and told him they "combined it" ok so if I have more than one order I will go elsewhere. How insulting the container was no bigger than the steamed rice they simply ripped me off and lied to my son's face. NOPE. I am combining my carryout options and China 88 will be my new Chinese take out. read more
