This company was highly rated online last year and I hired them to top up refrigerant and check my 10year old Mitsubishi system which has been steadily running down for the past 3 years and not cooling as it once did. Their technician seemed professional enough but after spending nearly $500 for refrigerant, almost nothing changed. They then gave me a $750+estimate to troubleshoot my system but by then we got a regular window unit to cool our main floor and we decided to wait before spending this much only for a diagnostic. After calling and emailing them again this week, before the coming summer cooling season, i got no response, but when i did get through i found that none of the office staff or technician we had worked with last year are there any longer. It may be that the pandemic made them lay off their staff, but after calling twice they told me that the management stated they would not service my split-system because they did not install it. Wasted a lot of time with this "reputable" business only to have them tell me they don't service my unit. I think this is one of those industries where installers work hard to make all their money selling and installing new units, and they claim they can provide technical services but they don't want to pay for experienced technicians to do more challenging work to actually fix older units. Beware the salesmen with shiny teeth (and websites) because its easy to have things work well for a few years out of the factory, but when it comes to the more intellectual pursuit of troubleshooting or fixing older units, they misrepresent themselves as the "experts". read more

We purchased a top of the line Mitsubishi air conditioning system from Richair, which lasted us barely over 18 months before beginning to leak profusely causing excessive damage to a closet. Even before this occurred, our contractor complained to them that their annual "service" had not been completed properly. Back to the leak... Their warranty, which we had relied on and was a factor in our decision, is basically meaningless. Yes, they will come out and fix the unit (although, as I write, this has yet to happen - they've come out but it still leaks) but they will not cover any of the damage caused by the leak OR by their repairman (basically, it is our responsibility to deal with them removing the entire ceiling in our closet). The damage to our custom closets and the walls will not be covered at all. They told us we would have to claim it on our insurance. Basically, if you want to purchase an A/C system that lasts a long time, is serviced properly, and has a warranty you can rely on, go somewhere else. read more

I have signed the contract with Richair Comfort Solution on Feb-14 2018 and the very next day I called Richair Comfort Solution to cancel this and I spoke to a man named Louis. We agreed on full refund as I was fully within cancellation rights and Mr. Louis advised me that it will take about a week for the refund to appear in my bank account. Since it didn't, I followed back again with Louis and he asked me to give it another few days. I have waited another week and since I still did not get my refund I called back and asked for Mr. Louis and at that time I was told that Louis is no longer with Richair Comfort Solution and I was transferred over to a manager Amanda where I explained the whole situation and Amanda mentioned she needs Regional Manager approval for this and will get back to me. Eventually refund was approved minus $310.15 for re-stocking fees. It took numerous emails back and forth between me and Amanda where I tried explaining this over and over again that I requested this to be cancelled the very next day with Mr. Louis when he was still with Richair Comfort Solution. Over the next 5 weeks this case is being escalated from Manager Amanda to Regional Manager to General Manager and eventually to owner Boris. Long story short they refused to issue me a full refund despite the fact that I requested this to be cancelled the very next day! I am very disappointed on Richair Comfort Solution tactics regarding this case and lesson learned here. When you need to cancel your order (even if it's the next day) don't just call them - you need to go over to them and request this in writing otherwise they will lie through their teeth and refuse to issue refund. read more

My wife took a half day off of work for a service call from Richair. After confirming the evening before, they called at 930 am that day to say their technician had called in sick. The appointment was cancelled. Period. They couldn't come out. They offered a new time in the middle of the day the following week - meaning we'd have to take a full day off. No weekend service offer, no evening hours- just take another day off of work. They didn't offer any discount or anything for our lost pay. What if their tech gets "sick" again? How can one person wreck an entire operation? Not a happy experience. They fixed my Baxi Luna boilers, every time I called them. These are not easy to fix, because they are like a computer. They have electronic components, besides the plumbing and electric. Not too many service guys know how to fix these. On top of that they are prompt and the service is reasonably priced. They also offer a maintenance program, that saves you in the long run, if you have more than one boilers to fix. read more

These guys are great for split units systems. They are an authorized Mitsubishi dealer so you get the 11 year parts warranty. I had many delays on my home renovation and these guys were patient and came when I asked. They did a really nice, neat job with the install. They were very responsive to my requests and super easy to work with. There was a internal problem with one of the units and these guys were here for several hours troubleshooting with the manufacturer to resolve the issue. I wish I had found Richair sooner. I've had all kinds of boiler issues, and am on my second in seven years. This one is a Baxi, which is small and European and digital...and few plumbers are equipped to fix them. Even fewer are actually Baxi trained and certified. Having doubts about the last plumber's insight, and the wisdom of his assessment (that I needed a very expensive part replacement), I called a few others: -Richair was one of only two local Baxi certified companies that I found. -Richair's quote was one of the lowest. -They had the earliest availability. -They were the friendliest. (Actually, there was one other great company, but they didn't give quotes over the phone, their assessment visit was the second most expensive, and they were booked out a week ahead.) -Paul (the Baxi repair specialist) was the first plumber who didn't ask for the manual when making repairs. He clearly has an intimate understanding of how it works, and was able to pinpoint the problem quickly. -They had all necessary parts on hand-a lifesaver if heat goes out in the winter. -The repair was complete in record time, and they even showed up a little early. -The diagnosis was completely different than the last company's, accurate, and about $1200 less. The work went quickly, the technicians were friendly, fastidious, fast, and efficient, and they answered all of our questions willingly. Need I say more? Do not use for repairs! you will pay exorbitant prices without a quote. Called because our ductless system was not cooling. They charge $140.00 for a tech to come out and diagnose the problem. Within the first 1/2 hour recognized the system was low on gas. These are closed systems so if it's low on refrigerant you know there is a leak. The system only holds 2.5 lbs. of gas. Finding a leak is difficult, time consuming and was advised can be very expensive. He recommended adding the gas and seeing how long it would last, he didn't give a price but having been involved in the industry many years ago I figured 100-200 dollars. Long story short the bill presented was over 800 dollars for 2hrs labor and 2.5 Lbs of gas. I refused to pay and the tech agreed the price was ridiculous and to call the service manager. I did so and the price was lowered to $575, $435 for the gas and labor and $140 for the diagnoses and travel. I have never used a company that didn't deduct the travel and diagnoses charge if the work was done. The original price was crazy the adjusted price would have been fair without the travel and diagnoses charge. The fact I had to call is annoying and most people unfamiliar with the business would have paid the $800. The service manager was unable to itemize the job into parts and labor as they use some sort of package price they've made up. They may be great on sales and installation but avoid like the plague for repairs. read more

RichAir installed a full Baxi condensing boiler system in my house. Their work was beautiful. Unfortunately there was a problem with the Baxi itself that was all but impossible to diagnose. Boris and Demyd stuck with me when most other contractors would have walked away in frustration. They came time and again to try to solve the problem. They got the manufacturer involved and eventually it was Demyd who found a defect in the unit itself. They know their stuff. They are honest. They are nice to deal with. I needed service on my Mitsubshi Mr. Slim ac unit which had accumulated a great deal of dirt and possible mold on the blower wheel and inside casing over the number of years we have had it. I discussed my need for service with Amanda C. Not only was Amanda very professional and carefully listened to what I was saying she promptly emailed all information as well as other followup information that I had requested. Amanda delivered on everything she said including the technician showing up on the time we had agreed upon. The technician Nikola was very professional and courteous as well as respectfuly removing his shoes when he arrived.
