A long overdue review for my dentist of 20 years! Dr. Keilson is one of the most positive and friendly individuals that you will ever encounter in your life. I have never had a single negative experience while under his care, and have not once caught him in a bad mood. He is genuinely concerned about his patients, and I've seen him handle the crankiest of kids with a smile (I hope I was not one of them). When I was looking for an oral surgeon to take my wisdom teeth out, or an orthodontist to potentially get braces, Dr. Keilson would make recommendations based on my convenience and never to make some sort of referral bonus. He always has his patients' interests at heart, lays out the pros/cons of performing a procedure, and never forces anything upon anyone. In my mind, he exemplifies everything that a health care professional should strive to be. Apart from that, the office is nice and has toys to keep the kids occupied. The staff is warm, receptive, and very professional. And the appointment schedule is very flexible and open on Saturdays as well. Probably one of the best Pediatric Dentist around. Dr. Keilson has a warm friendly manner about him which makes the children comfortable. If the child is unhappy with the situation he will usually say "Well we don't have to do it this time, but maybe next time... ok?". Went to Dr. Keilson for the first time about a week ago. The front office staff was efficient, prompt, and friendly. I did have one minor gripe which is that when we made our appointment, the staff did not allow me to check if my kids' visit would be covered until the day of the appointment. Not wanting to show up and then be turned away, I called just prior to my appointment. They checked at that time and assured me that it would be completely covered. The examination room is one large room where the kids can see the other kids. This is a great idea as then the kids can see that other kids behave just fine at the dentist. The bad is that your business is everyone else's business. The kids are given stuffed animals with teeth and a large toothbrush so they can "practice brushing teeth". Dr. Keilson is fantastic. We brought one of our 3 kids here but he essentially gave me education on how to care for all of our children's' teeth. Very informative and very knowledgable without being condescending. I think he actually cares (on a global public health level) about the health of children's' teeth. He was very gentle with our 3 year old (first visit) and told me that at the next visit, if the kid cooperates, we can try to get X rays. Excellent and highly recommended. read more

Dr. Keilson is awesome. He has a very calming presence and explains everything very clearly. He doesn't try to sell you on things that aren't needed. If he would let me, I would sit in that open room with 8 or so dental chairs with all the kids/teenagers just so he could do my dental work! I'll say it again... He is AWESOME! The facilities are nice and clean but nothing fancy. There are toys in the waiting room, but I've never had to wait there more than a few minutes. His staff is friendly too. We have been seeing Dr. Keilson for years. He is great with both our boys. He takes the time to explain things to the boys regarding why dental hygiene is important. He asks the boys questions that engages them. I like that my boys do not dead going to see Dr. Keilson, which is a big plus. His office is open and inviting. The exam area is one room with six exam tables so I can be with both boys and hear why he is telling them. The support staff is friendly. One more thing I like is, he is open on Saturdays. No need to take time off work to take the boys to the dentist. If you are looking for a great dentist who specialize in children, this is the place to make an appointment. read more

The entire staff here is amazing. They are the most patient, caring, and skilled people. My 4-year-old daughter was very anxious about getting her teeth cleaned and then a subsequent filling. (So nervous she was shaking.) They explained everything at each appointment in non-scary-kid-friendly terms and even did a practice run appointment for the filling. By the time we were on our way to the actual filling appointment my daughter told me she wasn't nervous anymore. She loves coming here and I do too! I was referred to this office after I had a nightmare experience at another office. All I can say is that I went from the worst to the BEST! Dr. Keilson and his staff are so gentle with the kids. They talk to them on their level. They never condescend or make the parents feel inferior like some dentists do. My son had loads of "necessary" dental work prescribed by another dentist who was clearly just trying to make a buck. Dr. Keilson told me that he felt none of it was necessary. He has a wait-and-see approach and won't do anything unless it is really called for. read more

Dr. Keilson is 5 star however I had to go with 4 stars due to his staff. My girls have been patients for 5 years and with every visit it doesn't get any better. They have never been rude-just nothing special. Office is clean but if your looking for bells and whistles your not going to find it here. If you're looking for a shiny new office with video games and sleek modern aesthetics, this is not the place. If you're looking for a clean, professional dental office with an amazing staff and dentist then I'd highly recommend Dr. Keilson's office. We have been bringing our boys here since we moved into the area and have had a fantastic experience. Our kids actually look forward to going to the dentist and here's the best part... they can get my 3 boys in and out for a routine check up in 30 minutes! Their timing and efficiency is amazing! Both the doctor and staff have a way with kids that puts them at ease. We have not always had great check ups but even when more intervention is needed, it is handled professionally and relatively painlessly for both the child and parent. Communication is also excellent. I always receive calls back as promised and they have communicated well between specialists as well. Definitely recommend this office if you are looking for a pediatric dentist! read more

Dr. Keilson and his staff are A+! They've created a place where kids feel comfortable, less stress, and even though it's all around a good place, they also accomodate 'special needs' fantastically. My son has autism, and it is difficult for him to go to the dentist/doctor. Dr. Keilson's staff noticed that my son didn't seem as stressed when he was in the very small dim lighted xray room, and so they do his cleanings in there! He's no longer afraid of the dentist, happily hoping up in his special chair and allowing the staff to do their magic. We take our daughter here every 6 months for her check up! Dr. Keilson always knows how to calm a 5 year olds nerves as they can be scared at that age! He always explains what he will be doing before and takes his time making sure our daughter is comfortable before proceeding. This year our daughter said she wants to be a dentist when she grows up...his skills must be working! We will continue to go here! Along with Dr.Keilson his staff is just as patient, calm, and warm hearted. The waiting room is also inviting for all age groups. Our youngest really enjoys the fish tank!!
