A co-worker recommended Dr. Cheung when I came into work frozen on my left side, unable to move my head and in excruciating pain. I decided to book an appointment with him and boy am I glad I did!! I've been seeing Dr. Cheung for over a year now for my chronic low back pain, and he's been the best! I prefer to get adjusted by him instead of taking medication. His adjustments leave me pain free for at least a week. And I HIGHLY recommended!! The absolute best. Dr. Cheung has been a life-saver! After messing up my back, ignoring it for a year, and then getting into a car accident that messed it up further, I was in pain a good deal of the time. My job requires long hours hunched over a keyboard and mouse, and my posture wasn't helping the damage that had been done. A stoic idiot, I pressed on without doing anything about it. Finally, my foot and ankle sprained so badly that I could barely walk, and I knew I needed to see somebody about it. I found Dr. Cheung via Yelp, as he had good reviews, and booked an appointment. I'm so glad I did. First, he helped me get back on my feet (literally!), treating my foot, taping it for stability, and showing me stretches that would strengthen it (and then actually having the nerve to insist that I do them instead of just saying I was going to do them - guess he's had experience working with human beings before!). After it was in better condition, we started working on my back, which had gotten to the point where I was in near-constant pain. With his treatment, and again, a handful of easy to remember, easy to do stretches and exercises, it's improved an incredible amount. Now, he's also got me slowly improving my posture and strengthening my back, and I'm feeling much better. In addition to knowing what he's doing (always a plus with medical professionals), Dr. Cheung is just a really nice dude, and is able to put his patients at ease with a friendly manner. I walked in with what I thought was Tennis elbow, and he replied that he's been seeing a lot of folks with golfers' elbow recently. When I asked him what it was, he touched my arm and I almost fell down. He said, " Well, I guess you have golfers' elbow." I contact Dr. Cheung's office for an appointment and sent all my insurance documentation per their request. They confirmed the appointment but failed to mention to me that they didn't accept my insurance. I went through with the appointment and when it came time to pay they charged me their full price. I told the lady at the front desk that I sent my insurance information and was not told that my insurance wasn't accepted. She admits that they had forgot to notify me about my insurance not being accepted and blames it on how busy they've been with an uptick in new patients. Dr. Cheung himself was great and very knowledgeable , but I was disappointed that I was led on with the service without being notified that they didn't accept my insurance. If you plan on working with them please make sure you get direct confirmation if they accept your health insurance. read more

Dr. Cheung was absolutely amazing to me. I went to his office for a period of about 6 or 7 weeks after a motor vehicle accident in the period of March - May of 2016. He took me in after having little to no health insurance, and has a great working relationship with select attorneys in the area. I thank him for taking me in at no cost, on the chance at getting reimbursement later through my attorney. Anyway, his office staff is very friendly and when I arrived he always treated me quickly and promptly without any lengthy wait in the waiting room. He was always very professional, courteous and friendly in our conversations. After my treatment plan was over, Dr. Cheung offered me a cash discount once I left to return. I will most definitely take him up on that someday. He had great reviews so I decided to give him a try and I was honestly not disappointed at all and in fact very happy that I found his yelp page. I was driving to work and felt a pain in my butt. It was a dull, aching pain that was so irritating I couldn't sit properly. I visited Dr Cheung and he told me it was Piriformis Syndrome. Dr. Cheung is seriously the best in the game! I have been a patient on and off for over 6 years. I was involved in an accident that left me with a fractured pelvic bone and the orthopedic told me that I would not be able to compete in my sports (Track and Competitive Cheer) for their seasons. After a month of receiving treatment I resumed athletics in which I made it to CIF Finals for track and went to the Cheerleading Worlds. I give Dr. Cheung credit for keeping me healthy throughout my seasons and for making sure I was able to compete at my best. I started going to the Pasadena Chirocenter at the beginning of the year. The place is great. The staff is super nice and friendly; they're very accommodating. They makes things really easy with insurance billing making and moving appointments, returning calls, etc. The first time I came in I had really tight and sore shoulders and neck. I saw Dr. Cheung and our initial consultation was really thorough. He looks at all kinds of things, from my posture, range of motion, he asked a lot of questions and aside from the adjustment I got that day, he gave me heat therapy, a prescription of stretches and exercises to do several times a day and a treatment game plan. After 3 sessions the pinching pain in my traps were gone. It feels like Dr Cheung really cares and listens to you. Treatment is so much more than coming in and getting an adjustment: he talks to you and asks a lot of questions, pinpoints the problem and administers treatment/ therapy accordingly. Sometimes he gives you advice on exercises and stretches that can help you, sometimes he just give you a quick tune-up. He takes the time the get to know you, your lifestyle, your activities, etc. and I feel like that extra step really helps him understand you and the care/treatment you need. This place is fantastic! I have had chronic neck and upper back pain on the left side of my body for many years but I noticed it got much worse post COVID. I was nervous about going to see a chiropractor but the pain became so severe, I had trouble focusing on my work and struggled with daily tasks such as cooking. Dr. Cheung seriously saved me! I'm an attorney, and I threw my neck out less than a week before I had to go to trial. I couldn't even hold my head straight up. Update: I've now been seeing Dr. Cheung for eight months and have seen huge improvements in my issues. Early January of this year, I was involved in a car accident and was referred to Dr. Cheung. From the very beginning he was very informative, patient and helpful. Alongside his practice, he helped me look for cars, as my car was totaled in the accident. I'm so appreciative of Dr. Cheung! I was involved in a car accident about 2 months ago. Although I was thankful to be alive and in one piece, my back and neck were stiff and aching after the accident. I called and made an appointment since he had so many positive reviews. I'm so glad I went to him! I had never been in an accident that would require me to see a chiropractor. I was clueless about what to expect, but he straight up told me what I needed to know. In terms of my treatment, he is intuitive to what my back/neck/health needs are, and he provides treatment that works. Because of going to him, I've been able to get back to normal movement and range of motion without pain. In addition to being a great chiropractor, he and his staff are pleasant and professional. They make it easy to make appointments. Many times, I have had to bring my young sons with me, and they have all been so welcoming and so nice to all of us. As a side note, I found out that he is the president of the organization Friends in Deed, which provides supportive services for those in need.
