The oven does not reach the temperature it is set at and can vary by over 100° at times! There is no option to calibrate it. They sent a tech to replace a part and it didn't fix it. I was told, sorry, there are no other repairs possible. They've been giving me a runaround for months and I haven't been able to use the oven at all. It's brand new and under warranty but they won't replace it or take it back. Unbelievable. Stay away from CAFD and Frigidaire. Terrible customer service and the warranty is worthless.

We are very upset at the level of customer service our family has received at CAFD. Our fireplaces…read morewere supposed to be fully installed and usable back in July--as of yet our upstairs electric fireplace is still completely open and unusable. We've called numerous times, been put on long holds, hung up on and two crews came out bringing the wrong items. We have been calling your office every week, with no response and no timeline when our fireplace will be finished in our bedroom. This has been a reoccurring story with each fireplace (we purchased a gas fireplace and two electric fireplaces)--we pretty much had to come IN PERSON to get our main floor fireplaces installed with the proper materials. This is unacceptable. Since calling your customer service team and being disconnected last week, our cats have crawled into the open fireplace in our bedroom, and the pebbles have spilled all over our floor. I am submitting a better business bureau complaint, and complaining on yelp and other social media channels. I can't believe this is how you conduct business with your customers.

I purchased a top‑of‑the‑line Speed Queen dryer from SK Lavery--nearly a $2,000 appliance--and it…read morearrived defective from day one. The installer immediately noted the loud banging noise. The dryer also scorched an expensive comforter and now requires multiple cycles just to dry a normal load. I contacted SK Lavery several times and spoke with Tiffany. While she did schedule a service call (for a brand‑new machine), she made it clear that I was expected to deal with Speed Queen directly. SK Lavery delivered a defective product yet refused to take ownership or provide real support. This is not the SK Lavery I once trusted. They may sell high‑end appliances, but they do not stand behind them. Once they have your money, you're on your own. This situation could have been handled easily if SK Lavery had taken responsibility instead of shifting the burden onto the customer. Until they change course, I strongly recommend staying away--there are plenty of reputable high‑end appliance dealers who still value accountability and customer service.

I visited the Old Saybrook location specifically looking for Viking appliances, only to find out…read morethey no longer carry them. I then inquired about Bosch appliances and was shown a few options. While taking a photo of a range to send to my husband, the sales manager abruptly knocked the phone out of my hand and told me photos were not allowed. I was completely shocked--especially after calmly explaining that I was simply sharing it with my spouse. The manager, who appeared to be older, was surprisingly aggressive and confrontational. I was left wondering how a company could justify employing someone who treats potential customers this way. I am currently shopping for a full suite of appliances--including a double oven, refrigerator, two dishwashers (for the main kitchen and butler's pantry), and a cooktop--so this could have been a significant sale. Frankly, I'm relieved this happened before making any purchases. I can only imagine how difficult it would be to deal with this store if any issues arose after a sale.
