I went in on a Sunday just to check the place out. I honestly have no idea about bicycles, I'm into classic cars as a hobby. But I recently found my old 1986 Schwinn Predator Aerostar in my moms garage. I have two young boys now & want this next generation to appreciate the 1980's-Early '90's BMX era. It's up to us ya know? Well I needed a white seat (which I later found out is called a Viscount Aero) and white bmx handle grips. This young guy I believe his name was Chris.. his specialty is old school bmx bikes, helped me out. Knew exactly what I was talking about. Went in the back for 10 minutes & came back with a white plastic seat! Exactly as I remember it as a kid. Thank you Richard's!

Another family owned business that has been around forever. I love going there and wouldn't shop any where else.

Poor service and unfriendly workers. They hardly give you the time of day. I recommend any other bike shop.

I am 5'7.5", so I'm bending over and causing my lower back to hurt. So we walked into the shop where the owner, I guess, was assisting a customer. He didn't even look our way to acknowledge us or greet us. At that point I was done. But my husband wanted to get me a new bike, so we stayed. The guy walked his current customer to the door. Turned around with his hands on his hips and looked at us like we were trash. Very rudely, he asked, "Can I help you?" as if we were bothering him. We asked about seeing a 27-inch bike, and he gave us such a nasty attitude instead of him explaining the different types of bikes and how after 26 inches the bikes are measured by tire width. He and my husband went back and forth about the difference. He was argumentative, mean, and nasty in the way he spoke with us. So my husband asked, "Can my wife try the next size after 26?" He very reluctantly pulled a bike from the rack for me to try the sizing. The entire experience was horrible. This man obviously had a problem with black people; hate was all over him. He couldn't wait for us to leave his shop.

Of course I had a lot of questions and some decisions to make to ensure I was making the right purchase. Thank you so much Steve and Goodspeed Cycles! You both were extremely knowledgeable and went out of your way and above and beyond to make this happen for me. I will be picking up my cycle in the next few weeks! This is wonderful and family-owned business and all the employees definitely take pride was my observation. Please know that sometimes there might a small wait while they are assisting other customers. It is definitely worth that wait so they can then provide you with the best experience with your purchase and they will certainly take the time to make sure you are making the best choice for your cycling needs! I hope to be able to make some of the weekly group neighborhood rides they do. Check out their website or call for more info!
