I don't know if the meal or the service was catered versus provided by the hall. Either way, ask them who provided the food on August 5 2023 and be sure to talk to whoever that was. Yum. Wow, my yesterday's visit to this historic park was so mesmerizing. It's because of their annual…read more(?) "Bright Nights" (originally a lantern festival.) It is said that they unveil a brand new theme each year and this year's theme appears to be focused on some Eastern cultures such as cherry blossom and bamboo forest with pandas. Not that I have been to many lights shows and yet I must say that I have never seen anything quite like this as far as my recollection is accurate. In its 12-acre land, the installations of lantern lights are everywhere. After 8:30pm or so when it's dark, the illuminations from the lanterns are glowing brighter than Las Vegas' illuminations (LOL - why am I comparing this to Las Vegas!!) According to the park's website, some of the sculptures are 23-foot tall (such as the cherry blossom gate.) It's currently open from Wednesday through Sunday until October 5th. And last night's was one of the adult-only nights where you must be 21+ to enter (I believe the next and last such night is Sept 17th. And this writing is as of late August of 2025.) I am already curious as to what the next year's theme is going to be. There is a centralized bar, some food vendors, a stage where a performer performs, and a DJ booth. Great for family time, girls' night or date night. Helpful staff were working tirelessly to assist all visitors. Although about 1,300 tickets were sold last night, it was never super jammed packed. There is still time to visit this enchanting light show. Not only for the locals but definitely one of the must-visit attractions for out-of-staters as well.

Good Ol'Fashioned Party created a stunning wedding reception for a gorgeous June backyard wedding. The decor was crafted to be meaningful for the families and their guests. But more importantly, they understood the couple and who they were was reflected throughout the event. They even used the front yard space and driveway to make a beautiful sit down area with low benches and pillows with lace wrapping around the yard to make for an intimate and private event. The way they transformed the space was magical and I'll never forget this wedding. I only wish I lived in Denver to be able to rent their vintage furniture and decor for my own wedding someday :) Thanks for creating such a special day!

Another favorite here of mine was Misery. The acting was superb. The theater itself is very clean and well laid out with some gallery rooms. You can buy drinks and being them into the theater, but they don't sell snacks. They only have two bathrooms so the line at intermission is a little long, but it's bearable since it's a small theater. If you haven't been, I highly recommend checking it out. Very talented performers, pretty art space, and wonderful productions. Also gotta check out the decked out truck in the parking lot, it's a piece of art.

He created a bowling night for our out-of-town guests and wedding party, worked with the hotel make sure family members with friction had rooms far away from each other, stocked our bride and groom suite with snacks and champagne, moved us us through the precise schedule of photos, ceremony and reception, and organized a fun and delicious good-bye brunch. When a surprisingly rainy June meant our outdoor ceremony space was a mud-field, Alex pivoted and redesigned a large alcove in the reception space to be a cozy ceremony space. It was like some kind of old fashioned and that rocks glass is already quite small, and they filled that glass up like 20-25% of they way full, I am not kidding!!! It was so ridiculous I had to laugh!!! (And double fist!!). Like wtf is that? Are you charging full drink prices to the couple per 1/4 filled drink? Man, that would really be a shame! It's close-ish to Denver, but also kinda out of the way. The train stop isn't close enough to walk to this, which would be super cool if it was. You still have to rideshare either way if you don't want to drive.
