    Mardi Gras themed birthday party!

Used to come here all the time when the place first opened and absolutely loved it. Great music, great atmosphere and solid food & drinks! Came back tonight for the first time in a while and the experience was just okay. The DJ was killing it and my first bartender was kind and made my favorite drink perfectly. However I came back in to ask for my second drink and close out my tab and the other bartender snapped at me for some reason? Usually I just ignore that kind of thing and chalk it up to a busy night or something else going on before I got there that could've been affecting them. It did feel a little personal when she aggressively threw the ingredients into my drink and then threw my check down and walked away. I'm still not sure why this happened. I haven't been doing great lately and thought coming to one of my old favorite spots would be a good pick me up but that wasn't the case tonight. Hopefully, if I come back here sometime in the future, I'll have a better experience but I think I'm going to stick to other places for a while. I'd still recommend Lot 46 as a decent place to check out if you're new in the Edgewater area.

My friend and I arrived with laptops and left them closed. The whole place has an Elle Woods sleepover energy: pink-adjacent, unapologetically cozy, a little magical. We enjoyed our treats, caught up and people watched. And yes these are treats. There may be alcohol at other times; we were just there for coffee and tea, and the specials leaned floral. I had something built around orange blossom that drifted between citrus and honeysuckle, delicate enough to feel like a mood rather than a flavor. Lovely, if not exactly life-changing. But that's the point: Hello Darling pulls you in with its aesthetic and keeps you with its comfy, cozy seats. Definitely equally suited to a solo work session or a two-hour gossip spiral that was supposed to be a work session! Come for the drinks, stay because you forgot you had somewhere else to be.

It's a mix of fairy garden and feminine chic had a baby! ++ Killer location right in the highlands ++ Beautiful interior and decor - sweet, cutesy with a gorgeous floral mural on the back wall ++ Tons of seating - counter, high top, cozy booth, you name it! ++ Both cocktails and coffee are offered here - making it the perfect spot for a mid-day pick me up, or drinks with the girls ++ Super friendly staff eager to whip up a carefully crafted cocktail or latte ++ Fun menu items with the best vibes! -- Parking is limited to street only, so be on the lookout -- Coffee is average, but fun to try the creative menu. (We sipped on the cherry vanilla iced latte - which left me wishing there was more flavor, and the strawberry mocha cold brew - which was rich but so sour) I'd give this spot another chance and try some other things on the ever-changing menu :)

Tucked into the West Highlands, it strikes that rare balance between laid-back and lively. The vibe is warm, unpretentious, and genuinely welcoming, the kind of place where you can settle in for a quick drink, amazing food, and end up staying all day/ night. What really stands out is how consistent the experience is. Bar manager Brynn and owner Paul are extremely friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and there's a strong sense that they know their regulars while still making new guests feel right at home. We started with what might be one of the best bruschetta apps: grilled, charred bread topped with blistered heirloom tomatoes (those vibrant yellow and red ones!), creamy burrata (or whipped ricotta-like cheese), fresh basil, and a gorgeous balsamic drizzle. The contrast of the smoky, crispy bread with the juicy, roasted tomatoes and that rich, peppery cheese was so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend sharing this one! Frankie's cocktails were spot-on too. We went for the perfect pink marg with Tajín rims refreshing, citrusy (heavy on the lime), with just the right kick of spice from the rim. They were dangerously drinkable and paired beautifully with everything. If you're in Denver craving a mix of elevated American small plates, killer cocktails, and top-notch sandwiches in a cool setting, this place is a must-try.

They don't serve food, though you're able to bring in food if you'd like. I remember when Bookbar occupied this space many moons ago. I used to like that place a lot. Well, I'm also beginning to like the new life My Boy Tony has brought here. It caters to a younger crowd, whether you're bar hopping on Tennyson with a group or looking for a spot to take a hot date. For better and worse, it's a neighborhood bar at its core. The most shocking thing is how they transformed the space from the previous tenants. It has a beautiful open layout with nice furniture and design. The bartenders are generally friendly and prices are in line with similar cocktail bars in Denver. The few times I've been here I've been in a cocktail mood. Negronis and Old Fashioneds are made well and are slow sippers I enjoy. They do have a nice selection of wines that I'll have to try when it tickles my fancy. The only hiccups here for me are some really long wait times for drinks. They usually have two bartenders and sometimes it gets really backed up. No one is running the floor when I've been there bussing and wiping down tables. Though I understand with a location here it can go from being empty to completely slammed in a matter of minutes! If you're looking for a cool, comfortable bar without the pretentiousness or judgment, check out My Boy Tony.

While we ended up getting different drinks, I have no doubt the espresso martini is yummy. My husband went for the Old Fashioned and I opted for As the Crow Flies - both were very tasty. Not cheap though - about $14 a pop. They had a wide beer selection and a few NA options, which I'm looking forward to trying as they sounded good. The bartender was friendly and skilled. We ended up sitting inside because it was a bit too hot for us, but others were on the patio and it did have ample seating and shade; will likely be lovely in a few weeks. The decor inside was clean with comfortable seating and a variety of bar seats and low tables. They also had virtual golf - an interesting mix. My one complaint is the amount of televisions. It had the amount I'd expect at a sports bar but way above sports bar prices. They could get away with removing 1-2 and still catering to the same crowd while appealing to those (like me) who don't want to have to sit in a corner and strategically place the chairs just to not have to look at a screen.
