Chicken tenderloin meal (for $6.99) looks more like a children's menu entree!! No sauces. Regret and disappointment on a plate.

Richard's is known for good food at reasonable prices. This visit was an absolute disappointment. Very poor service, and had to wait far too long to even get a menu. After waiting an eternity, my food arrived. The portion was smaller than a children's menu entree!! Also, I had to ask repeatedly for refills of my water, which they refused to bring in a larger cup. Had to wait too long for everything, including to pay at the end of the ordeal. I won't go back to this Richards location. Not a lot of choices in New Haven. It's a shame this is what we are stuck with.

    What? Localized ketchup!

A family-friendly coffee shop style restaurant, that takes some liberties in describing some items. The "Country Ham" was very "City"' and they get overwhelmed by crowds. Folksy service and reasonable prices.

Good food. Nothing spectacular. Smallish chickens. Popular with the senior crowd. Menu has many options

Cosmos always has plenty of staff, great service and speedy food preparation. I tried the tenderloin based on recommendations from the Tenderloin FaceBook group. I ordered a breaded tenderloin. It was moderately thick - not pounded to a thin layer like a lot of tenderloins. The meat was very moist and tasty. The breading was a bit thinner than most traditonal tenderloins. It was darker in color with a saltier spice taste. The sandwich came with all the usual add ons - lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, ketchup, mustard. I really liked the sandwich!!

My wife ordered and enjoyed three eggs , hash browns and a really tasty biscuit! I, on the other hand, had the Philly steak. It was almost inedible! Instead of the traditional shaved tender steak, this one had big chunks of chewy beef and a tasteless cheese sauce on a bun that fell apart in your hands. It came with lemon rice soup that was good and outstanding French fries. The manager stopped by the table and I mentioned my disappointment. She immediately offered a substitute and I chose The Cosmo Egg Benedict that was extremely satisfying. All in all everything worked out well and I'm sure that we will return.

And what I identified as being one of the few vegetarian options in rural Ohio turned out as well as I could have hoped. The place is a short detour from the highway, just off the town's main street, and is a beautiful space with a high ceiling, brick walls, and interesting furniture. The menu is small, but offers most of what a vegetarian restaurant should. There's some tofu, there's some meat substitutes, but what I got is falafel, which is one of those foods that just happens to be vegetarian. It was a splendid platter, with a healthy dose of fresh-tasting quinoa tabbouleh. The falafel seemed baked and came with ample garnishes. I added some grape leaves as well. These people like olives and cucumber a bit more than I do, but I nonetheless was full for a nice price. They were mostly vegan but did have (and did clearly announce as the one exception) a goat cheese dish. I would certainly recommend the place as being worth a stop for road trippers, and if I find myself on this road again I would like to stop back.
