The only minor negative was that someone stepped on a tile and the living room ceiling was damaged, ( testament as to how bad the roof really was) But there was not even an I am sorry and no compensation was made for repairs. Artemio Perez might be good at some things, but he didn't work on my yard. He sent 3 young people…read morewith zero English, who arrived an hour late to clean my roof. They goofed off much of the day, according to my neighbor--although I thought one of the young men at least tried. They did not understand what Artemio and I had agreed on a few days prior. Finally, after about 5 hours, they called Artemio when my frustration rose up, and he denied several additional tasks that he and I had agreed on, including pressure washing my chimney top from the roof, and cleaning out my downspouts. They did end up cleaning my chimney top, using my own pressure washer, because they had not brought one. My house walls are covered in dirt from the roof cleaning, especially my front porch area. I was dismayed to find they had collected many piles of leaves from my driveway, which I had been saving for mulch. Even after I asked them to stop doing that, they still took away all my leaves! Now I will have to buy about $100 of mulch. They were supposed to wash my upper windows that I cannot reach. After they left, I discovered that my dirtiest upper window, which is the most visible upon approaching the front door, is still filthy. Instead they washed 2nd story windows from my porch and deck that I said I could clean. On top of it all, Artemio rudely told me I am "crazy." And today, I met with a professional roof cleaner to see about cleaning my downspouts. He showed me what a poor roof cleaning job I got from Perez Landscaping. I asked him about the stiff wire hand brushes they used, in addition to the typical brush brooms I've seen before. He told me those wire hand brushes could have loosened the granules in my roofing, and he also showed me places where the shingles had lifted up. Pretty disappointing. Perhaps the experience would have been much improved if I could speak Guatemalan, or if Artemio had been here to supervise and communicate. I will not call him again.
