We love this place, always have a great time & the folks there are great! TC (DJ on Saturday night) always plays music we love. The waitresses are down to earth & typically have our drinks waiting for us when we walk in. Is it a dive, yes - is it local, yes - do we always have fun, yes - so all boxes are checked. DJ starts at 9:00 pm on Saturday & mainly karaoke but she will play a song if you request them. We love their nachos! Cheese sticks are seasoned well & big! There is still zero drama & they have a covered smoking porch. I am so glad they do not smoke inside! THANK GOD! They do have a pol table or 2 (I think), ample bathroom space, bar seating as well as floor seating. Typically doesnt get packed until 10-11. It was going good till I had to close my tab came in from California for work on a Valentine's Day wanting a relaxing drink maybe music till the dark haired girl behind the bar who is a normal here with another bartender named Ross pretty sure her names Megan when I asked for her name she turned around like she seen a ghost so I had to ask the lovely lady at the front. And she gladly gave me her name. What upset me was when I went to close out my tab she gave me an attitude about my card not working when I simply told her to tap it like she did with my friends and what a suprise it worked I let her know I wouldn't be coming back nor tipping cause of her attitude hope the owner sees this and gives a response shitty service and a shitty attitude if I could give a 0 would. Ps.your bartenders get sloppy drunk. Per below, Laure E. left out vital context that she was already intoxicated at 2 pm and was harassing other customers, including a deaf person who could not respond. She had also been removed from another bar prior to coming to Richardson Bar & Grill. The fact she insulted multiple patrons and made them extremely uncomfortable was also excluded. Megan is extremely talented and professional when she needs to be, but is also a hardworking and dedicated person who cares about all of her customers, regardless if they are regulars or not. The staff at this restaurant/bar are always welcoming, and not just to locals. I just moved to Dallas and they have been nothing short of wonderful to myself and my colleagues. Megan, Biriley, Jenn, as well as the kitchen staff and management run a great ship, and if you're looking for that local watering hole/casual feel you can't do better in Richardson. I can't recommend it enough to anyone looking for a casual and fun place to hang after work, on a day off, or just trying to catch the game. Give them a shot. read more

It's really disappointing honestly, I wanted to love this place. The vibe is great, and the music is usually on point, but the staff is seriously dragging it down. After my initial encounter with Megan, which was absolute trash, I thought maybe it was just a fluke, so I came back a couple more times, hoping for a different experience. Unfortunately, it was more of the same. The second time, the bartender was just as unhelpful and seemed more interested in chatting with her friends/regulars than trying to generate new ones. My third visit was barely better. I hoped to see a different bartender, but no luck. The same crew was there. It was disheartening to see such potential wasted by a lack of professionalism. It is hard to justify coming back when there are so many other options with better service and drinks. If you're looking for a night out, I'd recommend looking elsewhere until they make some serious changes. But if drunk and coked up bartenders is your thing, five stars. read more

Dive bar, however in a good way. Patrons are friendly and diverse. The bartenders Jen and Briley are always happy to see you and treat everyone like family. Food is expected bar food, however a lot of options. I love the flat bread pizza and home made fried cheese sticks ( they are big) and portion is allot. Be ready to share them. Ross is the son of the owner and he's extremely rude. He doesn't want to serve anyone and expects people to tip him for not giving decent service. He is extremely drunk when he doesn't work. He shows up to "work" on his days off and always thinks he is better than anyone else because his parents own the bar. He should carry himself more professionally. The only reason he has a "job" at Richardson bar and grill, is because of his parents. He should not be working at a professional level only because his parents own the business. I've met friends for lunch and dinner here more than a few times, and went along with it out of politeness when they chose it. The only food that has ever tasted good is the tortilla chips. I've tried their burger, the fried chicken sandwich, the grilled chicken sandwich, the fries, quesadillas and the blt. None of them were any good, essentially frozen ingredients thrown together w/out regard for taste or quality. The last time I got roped into going to RBG I ordered the blt -- we all thought it would be pretty hard to make a bad blt, right? Wrong. The tomato slice was thin and tasteless, the single, sad leaf of iceberg lettuce looked old and the single slice of bacon barely covered the length of the bread. Completely SOAKED in mayo on both slices of bread, though. [ shudder ] The exterior of the place is run-down and sad-looking, too. Matches the blt. read more

THEY DO NOT ALLOW SMOKING INSIDE ANYMORE (which is great- just wanted to mention since older reviews have the wrong detail; I couldn't smell any smoke odor either, so that's good). I came here to kill time while I got my car detailed across the street because some biscuit spilled fish soup in my car while I was Lyft driving. The vibe on a Sunday afternoon is chill and the locals waited until I finished my first drink before trying to talk to me, which was smart since I was pouting and scowling. Day one staycation decided to try this local bar and grill for lunch. Great place all in masks and social distancing. Smoking allowed on patio. Jen the bartender greets you as you come in. Tried the basket of fried jalapeño, onions, pickles. Crispy with cool ranch to dip. We tried the hot cheese burger which was hot, went perfect with the ice cold beer.
