This brewery is located just north of the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) and south of the Silver Line DART station. There is an entire complex of multi-story apartment buildings in the area and then businesses like this one for all of the residents to walk to. Parking is available around the complex, but it looks like you have to pay through an app. On the day I visited the brewery, there was an event there, so parking was full. I ended up parking in the park and ride lot for the train station. Parking was plentiful and free at the DART station, and the walk through the promenade to the brewery was nice. The brewery has an outdoor patio with tables and chairs. There is even a cut through window so you can order beer from the bar without walking inside. They have both food and drink menus. You can leave your tab open, take your beer to the table, and the food will be brought to you if you remember to put the food order number flag on your table. The beer selection was mostly from the various local breweries. I got a flight of beer so that I could sample several. I ordered a personal pizza too. It hit the spot. It was on thin flatbread. The Margherita is a favorite of mine. I brought my dog with me. He was allowed on the outdoor patio, but not inside, so I didn't go in. From what I could see, it's a very large room. There are TVs hanging everywhere so you can see a game from any place you sit. Tables vary in size and can accommodate singles as well as big groups. I will most likely return because of event meetings taking place here monthly. It's a decent place to hangout for a drink and a chat with friends. read more

My cousin and I popped in here recently because we love a low key spot where we can plop ourselves and watch sports. They are equipped with large TVs and chill vibes in an open, airy environment with a fantastic selection of cold beer on tap. Our server was very nice and helped me pick a smooth pale ale. I couldn't make up my mind on what I wanted so I went for the lemon pepper rub wings. My cousin ordered the Nashville chicken pizza which is her absolute favorite item. I must say the wings were disappointing - they were fried ok but the lemon pepper rub was mostly absent. The meat also tasted super processed and smelled of chemicals which was very unpleasant. No amount of dunking these bad boys in ranch was gonna fix that. The pizza on the other hand was amazing, even though it was very different than the rope of pizza I'm used to in New York I appreciated the crust, the spicy pieces of chicken and a drizzle of that balanced it all together. The pizza was truly a highlight and paired so well with my beer, it's a shame that I have to knock some stars off for the wings in this review. Stopped by on Sunday after church with a group of friends to grab some food and catch the Cowboys game. Pretty standard sports bar style establishment with big screens and plenty of room. My husband enjoyed the buffalo cauliflower he ordered and I tried some of my friends' omnivore pizza - good amount of toppings and tasty crust edges, though I did wish the bottom was more crispy and less floppy. I was excited to try a new place with so many local craft beers. I looked at the menu ahead of time unfortunately they are in the process of changing it. We ordered hummus that was supposed to come with flatbread but now it's with chips. A lot of the chips were soggy and not edible. I told our server that a heads up about the substitution would have been nice and that the chips were not good; she said nothing but rolled her eyes as she walked away. Understaffed on my visit however bartender who was responsible for the bar and every last friggin table in the place did the best he could. Food is average, nothing spectacular here. The bar surprisingly had son buffalo trace allocations. Blanton's small batch and Blantons gold. Apparently they sell enough bs to the college crowd to get decent bottles for the wealthier locals in the surrounding subdivisions. Pours were a little high for an oz though. read more

Everything about this place is great. My wife and I have tried most everything on the menu and have not been disappointed with any dish. Their pizza is huge, hot, filling and there's always some to take home. The veggie fried basket, the mushroom/pickle basket the cheese curd and the loaded curly fry basket are meals in themselves unless you share with others. The burgers and chicken strips and a favorite of our whole family. We have also had all of the salad options which are always fresh and filling. My wife loves the southwestern and I always order the Mediterranean. We have had some of the best drinks both on their beer/ale board and mixed drink offerings at the bar. The bar staff also gives great reviews on what would be your best choice depending on your favored taste history. There's plenty of sports on the various televisions. We've played pool and had multiple attempts to win at the trivia contest. We've been forced to enjoy everything inside due to the outrageous 100+ temps here in TX, but when it turns cooler we'll sit out on the patio to eat, drink and play cards or just chatting. Since it is across the street from a major university, sometimes the students pack all the seating, but no worries since we can have a drink standing outside and get our meals to go. Not unmentionable barely beer beers favored by the broke college crowd. Lots of food choices, none of which was greasy or "bar food" like. Sure, you'll find Irish car bombs and $2 shot nights. We got there and saw the specials and as well the menu, we were not too hungry and we ordered the Southwest salad (a lot of fresh jalapeños inside!) and the chicken tenders appetizer (they were overcooked), which the Thursday specials sign stated that was 25% off for appetizers. (Picture below) Matthew was a great bartender and friendly, he also suggested the appetizer specials. ~ We got the bill and noticed that they didn't give us the appetizer special, plus they charged us extra for a side of ranch that we never received. Our favorite local watering hole! Northside is a restaubar or a baraurant. They have a well stocked bar with many cocktails as well as an impressive craft beer menu. They also have amazing pizza- the creative PIzzas of the Week never disappoint. They host their own trivia on Monday nights which is a lot of fun, and the patio is a great place to hang out (and is protected from the evening sun) It's a great place for happy hour with colleagues because everyone will find something they love. read more

It's okay expensive for a college bar imo. But they started having lunch specials starting from 4$ up to $6 or $7 I believe but wasn't able to try. Loved the variety of beers that they have to offer I've tried a couple and the bartenders have been helpful with suggestions as well. The cocktails seemed juice down barely have any alcohol. My only complaint is the prices of drinks for being by a University I wish they had cheaper/stronger options. Super close to UTD but we were there last night to meet a friend on that side of town. Love the open concept, industrialized look and that the patio is pet friendly. We already had dinner but had to try the eggplant fries. The fries were crispy, topped with fresh parm, cilantro and a special "Szechuan sauce." I couldn't eat them all but if you like eggplant you'll be a fan. The drinks at the bar were easy to get and it was trivia night! Can't wait to come back! I came for a work HH, and this bar worked out perfect for us. It is great for big groups, we had about 15 people and no issue trying to find a space to sit. Since they do not have any waiters everyone just orders at the bar, I thought it was a little strange, since you order food with them also but it totally works. The bartenders are very nice, and extremely attentive. The bartender suggested the cheese curd, so good, spicy, but very good. Drink specials are great! Pretty weak place. The service is non-existent and the drinks are embarrassingly weak. We ordered the chips and salsa with queso and while I'm sure they poured the correct amount (as they saw it) of the salsa and queso, they served it in a much larger measuring cup which made it feel cheap. We ate all the salsa and queso and more than half the chips were left. We asked for more and were told we needed to pay more. Unacceptable. Also, whiskey neat is poured in a 1 oz., not 1.5 oz. shot. In short the whole experience came off as obscenely cheap. This place is very weak sauce. Update: I hadn't planned on responding to the restaurants comments below, but their defensive response compels me to comment further. Let me start by saying that I very much appreciate the idea of a restaurant taking the time to respond to customer comments. That said I have a few issues with their response. First, I appreciate the restaurants intention to keep the prices low, but low prices without value are a mirage. My 1 ounce of whiskey cost $5.40, a double $10.80. Remember, these were happy hour prices. As a result I got 2 ounces for almost $11. This is by no means a value proposition. I repeat my comment earlier that it gives the impression of being cheap. Second, As a matter of fact, the restaurant's assertion that they serve 10 ounces of sauces with the chips is blatantly inaccurate. At most, each measuring cup contained less than 3 fluid ounces of each salsa and queso. Each sauce was roughly 1/2 inch deep in each measuring cup. Had we been served a total of 20 ounces, there is no way we could've consumed all of the salsa and queso yet still only eat half the chips. Last, we went to the restaurant tonight as a "scouting party" looking for a place for parents to pre-game before a local high school's football games. The thought of bringing 20-30 people a week into the restaurant with no value proposition and no service staff combined with management's defensive responses to reasonable customer issues will keep this place off our list. read more

When I tell you the owner may have researched the hardest trivia questions I've ever come across and thats saying a lot. I really enjoyed my time here. I somehow stumbled into a college bar and for the first time in my life felt like I was too old to be in a bar. Luckily, I waited it out and had a pleasant experience. They have an excellent beer menu. I wanted options and didn't feel like driving all the way to a brewery. They have 50 beers on tap, most local. I did not have an issue finding something to drink. The bartenders seemed helpful and didn't make you feel like you were a bother to them when asking for a drink. My favorite part about this bar was the open-air patio section. I would have spent more time on that side if the wind weren't messing up my hair. They also have pool tables and plenty of chairs for you to lounge on. I did not see anyone order food, which was a little surprising for it being only around 9pm when I arrived. Don't college kids get hungry? I guess they have their priorities in check. You go, college kids! Anyway, the menu looked good, I'd given it a try if I hadn't already eaten. Come to Northside Drafthouse if you're looking for a large beer selection, or if you want to feel young without actually being young. Convenient to UTD is this fun pizza joint. Lots of big TV's to watch you favorite sports games. They have 2 pool tables, dart boards, golden tee and power putt video games inside and patio games outside. I do wish the patio was covered. But the tables do have umbrellas. Their beer selection is fantastic! Brunch is really good and pizzas are great! Even the crust on the pizza is good. I had the $5 lunch BLT w onion rings. Onion rings are a $4 upcharge. The onion rings are pretty large so the batter was pretty rough on the roof of my mouth. The bacon was in every bite but might have been just a little too over cooked. I did still enjoyed the sandwich. Restrooms are clean. Full service bar. Please note this is "self service" bar. You have to go to the bar and order both drinks and food. This is gonna be a long one so buckle your fucking seatbelts. Absolutely awesome food. The menu is the best bar food you'll find and goes great with a night of drinking. Cheese Curds and the New York White Pizza are by far my favorites. If you're feeling extra fat I recommend fully loaded cheese curds. It's beautifully colorful. They do have salads and cauliflower crust in case you're watching your figure that are pretty good too. Cocktails are inspired!! So delicious. There's a new weekly cocktail and I must say Andrew does an amazing job of pairing ingredients. He can give awesome beer recommendations and is by far the coolest man I have ever met. Great man to get obliterated with. Tip well and he might even dance. (I'm totally just kidding. Don't ask him to dance.) The staff is awesome, the bar is beautiful, and the regulars are stellar.
