I cannot recommend this company enough!!!! Richardson Glass was recommended to me by several neighbors on the Nextdoor app. I had a large sliding glass door that has been driving me crazy for 3 years. You have to be Hulk Hogan to open or close it. I tried WD-40, vacuuming the track, cleaning every aspect of it, and it was still a nightmare to use (and incredibly loud). I scheduled an appointment with Richardson Glass for this morning (11/3) between 10-12. The called before their arrival, and they even came 30 minutes early. That is amazing since nearly every other company I deal with either never shows up or shows up incredibly late. We were already off to a good start. I'd say within 20-30 minutes our sliding glass door was gliding with the push of a finger seamlessly!!!! Years of agony and Richardson Glass fixed the issue in half an hour. They installed new rollers, and they worked perfectly. I was worried I would have to change the entire frame and window (as another company alleged), and for less than $300, Richardson Glass fixed my problem immediately and saved my door. You can buy glass anywhere, but you won't get the excellent customer service we received with Richardson Glass just anywhere! Why? - because THEY CARE!! Back story - end of last summer we had a big tree removed and the stump grinder lost a metal part and broke one of our sliding glass doors. After over six months of trying to get quotes and ordering replacement glass through the sunroom company that initially installed the sunroom, to no avail (see Patio Enclosures 1 star review), I moved on to Richardson Glass and SO happy that I did. At the end of March, I called Lisa and she scheduled Ryan to come out to measure the glass. He called when he was on his way and measured the door. I was quoted a fair price for new double pane glass and ordered it. About a month later, I received a call that my glass had arrived and made an appointment for the installation. About a week later, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting Mike and TJ. They made quick work of removing the remaining broken glass and replacing the new glass in its place. They finished up and then I asked about possibly getting a quote to replace the sliding glass door on the other side because it is next to impossible to slide it open. Mike had that door off it's track so he could check it out. He discovered the rollers were shot and kindly looked up in his catalog the proper replacements. The $30 rollers were ordered. About a month later, we received a call from lovely Lisa letting us know that the rollers had arrived. We set up an appointment for the end of the week and the awesome team of Mike and TJ came to install the rollers. Ya'll they are the best!! They expertly installed the new rollers in the glass door in the sunroom in about 100 degree heat. Sweat was pouring off of them, even with a fan on. They sprayed WD-40 on the glass and screen doors, no more squeak and they rolled so smoothly! It was such a delight to work with a company that truly cares. I had a cabinet door that needed glass replaced; I brought it in to Terry at their store here, at about 11am. By 1pm I got a call that it was ready for me to pick up; I did so, and it was done perfectly. Richardson Glass also did the glass in our kitchen cabinet doors, and they too turned out perfectly. STAY AWAY Hired Richardson Glass to repair one window. They were scheduled to show up on Monday after 3:00, the technician showed up and started working on the window. Removed the old glass and then said he did not bring his tools since the company asked him to give another employee a ride home and there was no room for his tools and the employee. Said he would return first thing in the morning to finish the job. He did not! When we called to inquire about the job being finished the lady on the phone kept saying "we have been in business for 60 years and we know what we are doing". Told my wife they would let her know when the would be out to complete the window. My wife never got the call and they say that they left a message saying to call them back within 30 mins if we want them to complete the job. We already told we did so not sure they would even ask. We called again and they just kept saying "we have been in business for 60 years so we know what we are doing". Crooks. Had window installed in October. Crew had to come out 3 different times because they quoted wrong and then cut glass wrong. Second installation attempt shattered glass in driveway...did not get all glass cleaned up and 2 kids cut feet. In process of following up on status for third install, office actually lied about a 'message' they'd left on my cell about a cancelled appointment. After more than month, finally got window installed. Fast forward to end of February...same window is cracked again in bottom corner. Went to the R/Glass store, as needed two pieces of cabinet door glass replaced & asked for an estimate. 'It would be $40 give or take.' Interpretation -- $35 to $45 plus tax. Ha Ha Ha $40 each when I returned to pay and pick up the doors. Oohhh, that's right -- after waiting 4 days and calling in to see if the job was complete, 'the glass hadn't come in on the truck yet'....tick tock & fast forward 5 hours....'the order is complete' call comes through, just b4 they locked up for the day. They are life savers!!! I accident broke a window in my parents house. I went to home depot and they couldn't do my size I was looking for. So I try lowes and nothing. I ordered via email a large custom mirror with beveled edges. When the installers came, it didn't have beveled edges. I called and spoke to Lisa (the person I had ordered from) and she said I didn't order beveled edges. It was in my email which she didn't admit to. She just said I get a lot of emails. That's just bad business sense. If I had called and placed the order it wouldn't have been in writing. I also told her I received quotes from other companies for cheaper if she was going to up charge me $200+ for the beveled mirror. She said that it was hard for her to believe that. I have emails from those companies with their quotes! Basically she called me a liar and spent our entire conversation trying to blame me for her mistake. Very unprofessional. I would have accepted if she met me half way on cost but she did absolutely nothing to try to keep my business. I already have another mirror ordered from a different company so I'm not at a loss. I hope this company improves their customer service and learns how to read emails. read more

I needed a set of windows glass replaced where the seals had failed due to the April hailstorm and contacted Richardson Glass as they were local and had some good reviews. Their response started out good with verbal estimated based on pictures and measurements followed up with a tech visit to make detailed measurements. This is where it went sour as after the detailed measurements, they doubled the labor cost and told me they would have to balance a ladder on a slanted roof to install. I immediately said no ladder and suggested a rented man lift would provide a safe platform (this is a 2nd story window) for the job. After several emails and a couple of weeks of no response, I finally get a call from someone telling me they would not do the job. I would have been OK if they had told me this up front e.g., when the tech visited but it took multiple weeks for them to tell me to get lost which I thought was ridiculous. My conclusion is they can handle simple jobs but nothing complex plus the manner in which this was handled ensures I will NEVER call this company again for any glass or window work. read more
