Dam good sandwiches are made here but don't hold your breath sometimes when you call in a to go order! The owner needs to put on extra help at lunch and dinner rushes! I order here all the time because the food is great and the price is right but sometimes I have got put on hold for quite a long time ! I was remodeling my rental house so I stopped by this place a few times.. The subs weren't bad..I had told the owner in just small talk conversation that I had worked at a cheese steak shop when I was younger and could remember taking the whole rib eye's and slicing them on the meat slicer.. He went on and on about how that how he does it..only uses the best meat.. the next time ,and the last that I went in there he was precooking " steak-um's" and putting them in a large container...Honesty and trust,Especially when it comes to food, is very important to me.. read more

Caught the sign out the corner of my eye as I was coming down Deltona, figured "hey, it's lunchtime and hubby likes cheese steaks" so I pulled in. What a find! $5 sandwiches, anyway you want them (works/without works or anything in between). Add $1 for fries which are also delicious btw. The man himself, Richie the owner, is great to talk with, which he will do, while scrambling around the grill making each order one at a time as they're requested. By far our favorite "goto" place now for those times when you want something well made and flavorful on the run. FYI, seriously tiny with a chair rail height counter and a few stools that maybe fit 5? Not really a sit down eatery. Love the food here! We just brought food home from them the other night! The Cheesesteaks are absolutely incredible with LOTS of cheese. The meat is chopped and cooked just right. We've also brought home their chicken tenders as an appetizer and they are HUGE and super good. My daughter has had a gyro, and it was good, but just be aware that they use packaged gyro meat and not a rotisserie. When I was in there, I saw the most delicious looking cheesesteak pizza...it was beautiful and humongous. I will definitely be trying it. I did see that you could buy by the slice. I highly recommend Richie Cheesesteak. Although customer service was slow due to lack of personnel, they really work hard to take care of you. Even the front, taking call after call, were never rude on the phone. After waiting quite a bit and explaining I had a hungry, pregnant daughter at home waiting, the manager rushed my order and included a piece of chocolate cake for free. This is my husband's favorite sandwich place. Of course, he is a Philly Cheesesteak fan. However, allow me to direct your attention to their Cuban sandwich. I was born and bred in Tampa FL which is considered the birthplace of the Cuban sandwich by many. And, yes, I AM a Cuban sandwich snob! This restaurant serves a wonderful heated pressed Cuban ! Real Cuban bread and NO MAYO. Congratulations to Richie Cheesesteak. It is extremely hard to find a real-honest-to-goodness Cuban outside Tampa ( or maybe Miami). Keep up the good work!!!! read more

I heard from a few people they were great. When i stopped in for a menu, it was very clean looking. Being limited on time we did not eat dinner there that night. After reading through the menu we were very interested in trying their food. The prices were a little high but we figured with prices like that the food would be spectacular. It was very crowded when we got there we placed our order, found a table to sit at and waited for our food. After a little wait the waitress came out and called somebody's name and took a tray of food to their table. It was not their food so she took the tray back to the counter and set it on the counter for 2 or 3 minutes. She then took the tray back in to the kitchen. About 5 minutes later she brought the same tray out and she called my name. I raised my hand, she brought the food over and I asked her if that waa the food that she took over to that other table, she says yes but it never left the tray I promise you it never left the tray.b I was hungry, the place was packed, I didn't want to argue too much over this, she assured me the food did not leave their tray or touch the other people's table and was very adamant that nobody touched the food she promised she would not serve food had somebody else touched it. I didn't want to argue the point, I didn't want to embarrass my wife, I just wanted to eat my food and go but the longer I ate the food the more upset I got that my food had been at another table. I wasn't happy with the food. At best this food was on the better side of average, not great and sefinitely not bad. Had it not been that my food got sent to different table I would come back to this restaurant again. It is a little pricey but the atmosphere is clean it feels like an old time soda shop kind of when you walk in. I'm giving it only one star because I feel that the worst thing that you could ever do to somebody is take their food to another table and then bring it to them after 5 to 10 minutes and have been sitting on a counter and then back in the kitchen.
