A man was standing by the washers smoking, and the odor throughout the building was overwhelming. We loaded our laundry, added detergent, and followed the instructions on the machine, which said to insert a credit card. We tried three different credit cards, and every one gave an error. When the attendant finally arrived, she told us we had to purchase a laundromat card to use the machines. Seriously? We're traveling and have no need for a reloadable laundromat card that we'll never use again. There was no clear warning about that before we loaded our washer. The prices were outrageous as well. It cost $10 to wash one load and $4 for each drying cycle. Our clothes took nearly 1 hour and 45 minutes to dry, which meant paying for multiple drying cycles--about $20 just to dry one load! Between the overwhelming smell, confusing payment system, and extremely high prices, this place was a huge disappointment. We will never return, and I would strongly recommend that travelers and locals alike go somewhere else.

For every 3 quarters you put in there's a 50 percent chance the drier will turn on and work for 4 minutes and not dry your clothes. The owner and staff field complaints by saying you dropped the coin in too fast or too slow but it's always the same result. You will never know how many quarters it will take to turn on and if your clothes will be dry even though the sign says 7.5 minutes for 25 cents. Always always frustrating.

Yesterday the owner Ken had the nerve to get annoyed when I asked to exchange 10 singles for a 10 dollar bill for the coin machine. I have put up with the poor behavior due to proximity to my home, parking and no requirement to purchase a card add money to use the newer type machines. Because I do not have on site laundry unfortunately I have limited options due to time and finances. I am concerned with an operation that is strictly cash and even more concerned when the owners are not helpful and rude. They do not allow dryer use if you do not use washing machine on site so if your dryer is broken this location is not an option. They also charge $18 up front for comforters, the machine is $9.00 with probably $1.25 to dry (just an fyi). I am giving this establishment a two because I like the machines....when they are working. There is no air conditioning and the store is very cramped and difficult to maneuver on a busy day.
