"I'm here for you." Those were the first four words I heard when I arrived to set up and decorate for my wife's birthday party at RFB. Talk about putting my mind at ease. That's when I knew that Richmond Farm & Brewery was absolutely the right choice to host the party. The words were spoken to me by Tracy, the event planner, hostess, server and bartender that I had been working with for the past few months planning my event. From our first informational meeting to when it came time to pay the bill, Tracy approached the entire process with understanding, simplicity and professionalism. She answered all of my questions and presented many possible options to make the event a success. Every one of the 59 guests who attended our event commented positively about the setting, staff, food, drinks and service. The food was delicious the boom boom shrimp appetizer is perfectly crispy and spicy. Little bit of chicken sandwich is fresh crispy pickles and sweet honey. Service is excellent and welcoming. Sangria and margaritas are perfect for a summer dinner at the farm. The atmosphere is relaxed and peaceful eating at the farm table by the creek. Love it. read more

Absolutely beautiful brewery/restaurant!! They offer indoor sitting in their stunning remodeled barn, Or outdoor seating with the gorgeous background of the farm. I had the Cobb Salad with the add on of salmon. So delicious!! I also tried a half pour of the Mosaic Masterpiece, an IPA. It was very good. TIP: sodas and ice tea are NOT refillable. One thing about me, I'm gonna find a brewery. I had personal matters to attend to at the nearby Warren County courthouse in Belvidere (mind your business). Afterwards, having fallen in love with the small town vibe, I decided to look for a sandwich shoppe. Curiosity and the beauty of German engineering got the best of me so I took a country drive out of town (and across state lines!) to PA. Opened Yelp and found this brewery just 5 miles down the road. Another thing about me: I'm my own best company - love a solo date. Done deal. The menu was gas! Bacon jam fries?? Apple butter wings?!?!? A beer list to die for?? Friends, I ate and drank bigly. Food: Fantastic. Yall know my thoughts on breweries with no food. This place can stand on its own as a restaurant without a liquor license. Seating: Tables, steel bar stools, indoor, outdoor, picnic tables - everything for everyone. Service: warm, friendly, attentive, helpful. Servers and barkeeps steered me right with each item I ordered. Space: It's gorgeous! Empty grain silos, vaulted and beam ceilings, a farm, taproom. So warm and cozy this time of year. It's a good hour+ from my house but when I tell you I will be back and bringing friends, I mean it. What a find! What a beautiful place! Richmond Farm & Brewery has great rustic feel with excellent drinks and high-quality foods. I mean, the food is stellar and the plates are robust. The hostess was rude, owner was extremely rude, service was terrible (although the waitress was very nice), we ordered apps and entrees together around 7:20 pm, got our apps probably around 8:20, food came out at all different times, and it was all just mediocre. Place was not overly crowded either (had empty tables). This place used to be great, but it's definitely going down hill. We will never be back. read more

Place is a gem!!!! Immediately greeted by honestly the nicest, most friendly hostess I've ever met. Incredible property both inside and outside (see pics). They have a separate banquet room as well. Fantastic place for a family day! Very kid friendly. The beers and cocktails were delicious. Also loved the Escape Goat seltzers! We hung out for a while in their heated outdoor area. The beer bacon jam fries were amazing! Decent quesadilla, nachos were underwhelming. But overall we enjoyed our lunch. They have games both inside and outside to keep the kiddos occupied (giant connect 4, tic tac toe, etc) which I greatly appreciated. We went inside towards the end of our visit to enjoy the live music. This is an awesome place and we will definitely be back! read more

Absolutely wonderful experience. I came with my family including two children on a Thursday for dinner. We sat outside where it is covered with fans. There appeared to be heat for cold weather days and an outdoor bar for busier times or events. The atmosphere was rustic inside and out. The bathroom was very clean. The server was so friendly. The burgers were delicious. The flight options were 3 or 6 beers. The samples are small but priced accordingly. All of the beers we tried were great. The cups, at least for outside, were plastic but it didn't take away from the experience. read more

Came in two weekends ago and forgot to drop the rating. My girlfriend who is NOT a fan of IPAs might have a different take on the star level than me. However, the bartenders were all very helpful in helping us select our flight choices. The quesadilla was tasty. We also found out that she is a big fan of hard apple ciders, so it was a win! read more

My husband and I enjoyed our first time dining at RFB. It was a rainy evening and there were only a few customers as the weather was to be continued rain and possible high winds. We were treated very well by a staff that was not only courteous but also knew the menu very well. Our food and drinks were very good, we will certainly return to this establishment many times. The ambiance of this brewery at first seemed to be very bright, however the lighting is directed upward, so by sitting at a table the lighting was good. The focus of the inside of the building is made to be on the actual structure, woodwork, and farm style lighting. The area is open, the decor is minimal. The country barn made into a place to enjoy food and drink with friends and others who may become friends is just perfect for the location and the meaning of the words "country farm setting." My only thought for improvement may be that when a customer walks into the building, there would be a way to alert the host or hostess that someone entered the building. Please note* our wait was minimal, not anything to complain about however, I know from experience that this is something that others may be displeased with. We wish Best of Luck to this business and hopefully, it will be around for a long time. read more

Definitely a brew and bite spot to add to your calendar for a weekend visit. We have been watching Facebook while they were getting ready to open. I was excited to start their Yelp page! I was also the recipient of the first glass of wine they sold! It was Clever Girl wineries Paris. A nice dry white. We had tortilla chips And great guacamole and salsas. Hubby had a LOADED hot dog and I had a loaded blackened grilled chicken sandwich. When I got home to enjoy my Mosaic Masterpiece and Maple Vanilla Porter, I tried the porter first... it was completely flat ( thought well maybe it's the style) tried the Mosaic IPA... also completely flat... It is with good reason that RFB is the talk of the Slate Belt. This place is beyond cool! The beer list is about as long as the Old Testament and quite diverse. The menu is just as diverse and far beyond your standard "pub grub". The team is well attentive to thier guests and you can't buy the backcountry ambience for a million bucks. Been here twice with my family, so far. Each experience was great. They currently do not have their inside dining room open for business and they have a limited menu (as they are just opening up) but they have nice outdoor dining in their barn and next to the old farm silos. Very nice barnyard aesthetic that is inherent to the place. Now, the food. The food is superb. They've managed to elevate cheeseburgers, pulled pork sandwiches, and chili to another level. You can tell the food is made with quality ingredients and by cooks who know what they are doing. So far, I've had the Richmond Burger and the Pulled Pork Sandwich and I've enjoyed both. Their coleslaw is also sweet and exceptional in comparison to many others. The brews they have on hand are, overall, good. Each beer they have is different. Some malty amber ales, some hoppy ones.
