There were a few bumps in the road, mostly from my side of things (insurance, dry rot, the holidays) He was out to my house several times as we navigated the situation. I saw another review that stated they couldn't use the fixture they wanted. Zach was VERY specific on which valve he preferred and why. You have to get specific trim kits to fit specific valves. Take notes and ask questions. I would definitely use Zach and Mad Piper plumbing in the future. I did comment to Zach on communication. He unwired the existing TACO thermostat controller and could not re-wire it to get it working again as it was before he started the work. He constantly complained about the radiant floor installer and put them blame on them, but the system worked fine before he ruined it. I called in a different plumber to service the system in 2025 and found that the wrong expansion tank was installed. He installed a potable expansion tank on the radiant heat side of the system and did not install an expansion tank on the potable water side. The system was also missing a heat release valve and the exhaust for the boiler was not properly sloped for the condensation that the system creates. I would not recommend this plumber.

They started to perform the install and wanted to divert the overflow pipe so it drained into my garage. The lead guy said this was normal. After they left I noticed they did not replace the flue pipe that was used to set the water heater in another location and instead just curled it up. Did not look like it was done to code. Overall questionable work. Tho add to this, they drained the hot water into my front lawn and now I have a brown patch. They did send out another guy that fixed the flue and properly connected the overflow. He was obviously embarrassed about the previous work. Would not recommend.
