While I know working through HSA is different than calling them on my own but I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. The lady that came with the guy to "look at my fridge" is the best experience I had the entire time. She tried vouching for me but the man with her was rude (thank you) and unkind not even telling me his name. I requested him not come into my home again due to the first encounter but he was send again anyway. He proceeded to be rude this time telling me I didn't know what I was talking about and spitting tobacco into my yard. I have dogs, I have nieces and nephews in my home that can get into this as it is right outside my door. He did not even attempt to diagnose the smell coming from my fridge, he took a picture and said "nope nothing I can do." I will ensure EVERYONE I know knows not to contact Rick Monz Plumbing. Maybe Rick is a nice guy, I would've loved to have him come out to my house to check my fridge and form a new opinion but against my wishes the first guy was sent again. They forgot about my yesterday so I had to take not one but TWO days off of work only for them to be an hour late today. I have never been so disgusted with a place of business or service professional as I have with Rick Monz Plumbing. Run away from this business as fast as you can. I scheduled an appointment for an appliance install 2 weeks in advance. On the date of install I called to verify that he was still coming to install my appliance. When I called he acted like he had no idea; however, he did eventually say I was on his book for later that day. Forward to 5pm that day and he had not shown up so I called to ask when he would be coming to install. He then said "I told you I would come today or tomorrow." To which, I said, no you said you would come later today. I also told him I had made this appointment with Molly two weeks ago to ensure that I would have an appointment on the books and be serviced. He said he may be able to get to me the following week now, to which, I said my expectation when I made an appointment is that you would follow through and come on the day in which the appointment was made, and if not, then you would have communicated that you needed to reschedule. He then told me again maybe next week, and if I didn't like that, I could find somebody else and hung up on me. I proceeded to call back and was immediately put to voicemail. I left a voicemail asking for a return call from Molly to help me understand how I made an appointment, but was instead treated this way by Rick? I do not expect to hear back at this point. Rick is very unprofessional and rude. I would never recommend him and hope you never have the same awful experience. He was contracted through my Home Warranty company. I was able to contact them and ensure that he is no longer an option for other home owners to use, so they do not get stuck dealing with a person who is ungrateful, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I could not be more dissatisfied with my experience with this plumber. One of the most unprofessional contractors with whom I have ever dealt. I was assigned this plumber through our home warranty to make a repair (even though a review from one year ago states that she had made sure that her home warranty company had taken him off of their list of contractors...maybe it was a different warranty company). The first time he was scheduled to come to my home, I waited all day for him to arrive only to get a phone call around 4:30 PM from his office saying that he would not be coming due to a family emergency and he would call me that evening to reschedule. He never called me to reschedule. After waiting several business days, I called him and he acted like he had already rescheduled the job. He was not able to complete the job when he came to the house the first time because the water company needed to shut off the water at the curb in order for him to complete the work (understandable). While he was there he gave us a bid for another job that was not covered by the home warranty: installing a new outside faucet for a hose. His bid was $1,200, which I declined. My general contractor installed the new outdoor faucet the next week in a matter of 20 minutes. When Rick Monz Plumbing was scheduled to come back to the house to complete the job that was covered by the warranty, he said he would be there at 9 AM, first job of the day. When he still wasn't there over an hour later I called him and he said he was called to an emergency and would come later that day. I called him again at 4:00 PM that day to see if he was still coming, and he said he would leave for my home in 20 minutes. 10 minutes later he texted me to say that he would come the next morning at 9 AM first call of the day. When he still wasn't there at 11 AM, I called him and he said he'd be there at noon. It's 12:30 and he still not there, so I call him again but he doesn't answer, At this point I call the home warranty company to have them take him off of the job and assign me a new plumber. I am still waiting to hear back from the warranty company about this matter. read more

Absolutely one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a contractor. They did not come out when my hot water tank was leaking the day they were called, so it continued to leak over night. When they finally showed up the following day, there was an older man with a younger girl and the older man couldn't even walk up steps. So we had to assist with getting the tank inside of the house. A younger male then came to the house to assist. They made a complete mess in the room the hot water tank was in and didn't even make an effort to clean up the mess they made. About 5 minutes after they left, the top of the tank started leaking. Went to clean up the water and realized that someone took a shirt out of my dirty clothes hamper to clean the grease and plumbers glue off of the newly installed pipes. When we called the older male to tell him what was happening he lied and said that they didn't use glue, they used tape. Even though there is glue all over the new pipes. He then told me us he would come back and give us $30 for a $10 shirt. Additionally, they didn't even look at the tank or try to fix it before replacing it because it was covered through a home warranty. The older man said that he only took $300 cash for the portion that wasn't covered, never even provided an itemized invoice before running out the front door. Their lack of professionalism is absolutely appalling.... I wouldn't recommend this company to ANYONE!!! read more
