My family has been coming here for years. Today was the last time we will be there. Tammy a waitress there made a seen over my granddaughter that was uncalled for. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because of a rude, disgusting server there by the name of Tammy. My wife and I have been eating at Rick's for over 2 years and we know almost all of the servers by name. Yesterday Tammy brought us coffee to the table just before we sat down. My wife and I are retired and have heart problems. My wife asked Tammy if she could have decafe. Tammy made a sarcastic comment rather than get the correct coffee. She went ballistic yelling, I've been waiting for this, which my wife and don't understand. She they through her arms up in the air yelling get out of here and never come back. So my wife and I promptly left the restaurant totally embarrassed. If it was my restaurant, Tammy would no longer be employed. This was totally uncalled for...Ju ad t wa noted the management to realize that Tammy is no longer an asset to this restaurant. We will never patronize this business again. Poor service (we were not greeted upon entering restaurant, had to ask twice for coffee, slow food arrival). Cheap place to eat, food is also cheap and wasn't hot. Only takes cash. We will not be revisiting. read more

Price is good and food is fine. But the staff needs to step up and seat people like a proper eating establishment. We had a party of 6 and disrespectful customers come in and jump on tables not considering those already waiting. Not worth the fight for a table. What a delightful little find while we were on vacation. Stopped in for lunch and I had the BLT .. it was really exceptional .. and I was impressed. Stopped a second time a few days later, and I couldn't help but order the same ... very, very good. I understand from friends that evening dinners are really good, too. We'll be back! read more

We pass this restaurant all the time and ive always wanted to eat here because i love family restaurants. We walked in sat down order and an employee was yelling at a customer about how he raised his daughter. Apparently the child had put the air freshener on the floor in the bathroom. The waitress was yelling at him and made the little girl cry and was saying my children would never do that because they know better and she said that they need to learn how to raise their children. For a traditional breakfast and no fancy choices this was perfect. Waitress was attentive, service fast and food was hit. Special was corned beef hash, 3 eggs, potato choice or grits, and toast. $5.99. Side order of biscuits and gravy very tasty. read more

We visit Rick's each week, usually on weekends for breakfast. While it's usually hard to find seats near noon, it usually doesn't take too long. We've been going for over six months, and the food quality is very good and is consistent. The portion sizes are good, and the waitresses are friendly, fast, and attentive. I am a VERY regular customer at this restaurant. One day I'm starving.. have to go to work and I wanted pick up food on my way there so I call to place an order. I ask the woman who answers the phone what kind of omelette they have her response was "I'm not going to read the menu to you over the phone" then proceeds to hang up on me. I call back and order an western omelette after finding their menu online then ask for her name because she was so rude to me the first time I called. She refused to give me her name then hung up on me again. I go to Ricks to pick up my omelette and it's not ready.. why? Because she did not put my order in. So I ask to speak to the owner. He isn't there. I speak to the manager on duty she was kind and apologetic. She had my omelette made for me within a few min. All the while the lady behind the counter is saying awful things to me then proceeds to call me a bitch!! I told the manager that I am in the hospitality industry and if I would have treated a customer the way she treated me I would have been written up at the very least if not fired. I have never in my life been treated like that at a restaurant. So it gets worse... I haven't been in since then because I was boycotting ricks due to the incident. It's Father's Day today.. we go into ricks because that is what my husband wanted. We have all of our children with us and just as we order our food the woman who treated us so badly told another person there that I was the "girl who gave her trouble" and this lady announces so loudly.. WITH MY KIDS AT THE TABLE that she was there and saw what happened.. she may have been there and she may have seen me asking why she didn't put my order in and why she was being so rude to me trying to understand how someone with her attitude lack of any kind of patients and personality could possibly have a job at a restaurant. Back to it being that it's Father's day, she kicks us out.. not just me and my husband MY KIDS not the owner a waitress told my kids and I that we were not welcome and had to leave. At this point my husband flipped out because HOW DARE YOU do this on Father's Day and with my kids here. All the while the lady behind the counter is laughing and screaming HAPPY FATHERS DAY to my husband in front of our kids.. I walk by and tell her she is awful and she calls me a bitch again. Not only did they humiliate us and ruin our Father's Day morning... not to mention my husband and I work different shifts and Sunday is the only day we get to spend together. I'm still in shock and so upset. I really enjoyed Ricks food and spending Sunday mornings there with my family.. I still don't understand how one person being so awful had the ability to cause all of this. Really breaks my heart. So when It says that I "hated it" I actually love Ricks, just hoping that Rick sees this and understands what happened and how we were treated in his restaurant. read more
