Don't waste your time with other methods for getting rid of Gophers (e.g sonar spikes, gopher repellent), just call Rick! Gave Rick a call and easily scheduled an appointment for our front lawn. He surveyed the gopher activity and told us what needed to be done. He quickly set up the traps, filled the other mounds, and 2 days later came back and caught the gopher in 1 try. Gophers sound cute but are a yard menace like no other. We learned that the hard way. We had a gopher going after our landscaping, threatening decades of growth and work. After considering doing something about it ourselves, which was likely to fail, we decided to find a professional and get rid of the gopher before we faced thousands in replacement costs. One call to Rick and within a few days the gopher was gone. He analyzed our particular yard and needs, carefully implemented his fool-proof system, and quickly and humanely dispatched the gopher before it destroyed our garden. Not only that, Rick gave us a lot of information about habits of gophers, the types of plantings that would be easiest to maintain, should gophers pop up in the future (hint: grass is easiest to heal), destroyed and carefully eliminated the subterranean tunnels the gophers excavated, and replaced all the disturbed soil and turf so the work is virtually undetectable. His rates are very reasonable and he charged us less in the end than expected. And, he gave me a hard copy receipt, which I appreciated. Rick came out right away and although I had made the mistake of kicking the dirt back in the hole, he immediately told me he would put out a sprinkler which he provided! and told me to water for about 20 minutes for few days. I tried to set up a macabee trap to snare a gopher. The trap proved defective and I feared it would slice my finger off. Due to my poor health I decided to let an expert do the work. OMG what an amazing father and son team. Last week I noticed some holes and dirt in my front yard I knew it was a gopher, so I yelped and found Rick's Gopher Services, called them and they were at my house few hours later. I told them I had to call them back to schedule a day for them to come and put the traps. I ended up calling them back the next day and he told me they would be there on Saturday. A gopher came to visit us the night before Mothers Day. It was about eight o'clock in the evening and as we walked up the path to the front door we saw a hole in the ground next to the path and it had dirt piled around it.
