I love being able to talk and joke about a range of things ( pun intended ). The range is clean and ran with safety as a priority. The only issue I have is my fat ass feels like I'm about to break their chairs. That's more a "me" issue though. I think I will only shoot here as I feel like family when I am there. Even if by family, I mean that cousin you tolerate. :). Seriously though, this place is an awesome place to send rounds down range. Highly recommend!!!!

From start to finish, the communication was top-notch; he provided clear updates at every stage of the work, so I was never left wondering about the status of my gear. Beyond the technical skill, Donovan's expertise is evident. He suggested a specific change in the grain of ammunition I was using, and he was absolutely spot on--the performance difference was immediate and impressive. It's rare to find a gunsmith who is as communicative as they are capable. Donovan is a great asset to Frisco Gun Club, and I'll definitely be back for any future maintenance or builds.

The staff were consistently so friendly and welcoming especially when I brought in friends to try out the range for the first time. I went here more times than I can count and I had a consistently great experience. I am bummed out that I had to move to the East coast for a new job but will definitely come back and visit the next time I'm in the DFW area. You won't find a nicer gun range for a better price than at Frisco Gun Club. An additional bonus of coming here is that even the clientele are very nice and have that southern hospitality.

I walk in and they treat me like family. they have a decent rental selection for pistols, and it's only 25 bucks for a 5 dollar rental and about 20 bucks for a box of 9mm. they are very calm when you break a rule (I've only broken minor rules only, nothing major) and won't threaten to kick you out, but in a gentle way give you a warning and tell you what to correct. if you need a new range to call home then eagle is the place to go! also if you need a handgun lesson like I did, request Jesse, he did a great job and is the reason I shoot like I do. Everyone on staff is kind and helpful, so if you need a rental recommendation or even a short therapy session, just ask!

One of the range hands looked to be 20 at best. Young enough to be our kid. Anyway, he kept asking about my gun case because I had a .40 sitting in it and not at the shooting area. I had explained to him I wanted to shoot it, but they didn't have .40 ammo. He didn't like that my case was open with the gun inside. He asked my friend to close my case which my friend did. I finished going through my two mags, went back to our area and noticed my case closed. My buddy said, "The kid was nervous it was opened and asked me to close it". No big deal, all good. Except, we were asked to leave by another range employee because he didn't like us referring to the other guy was "the kid". There was no harm intended. We weren't being derogatory, it was simply a description, the young man could have been our kid so my friend referred to him as ". The kid ". We were kicked out because of that. It won't hurt them, it won't hurt my friend, and it won't hurt me....but he nor I will return. I get safety issues. I get hate speech, but this was ridiculous

The only issue I've ever had is with the employee monitors in the shooting lanes. They hover, and it gets pretty distracting. If you unknowingly break one of the rules (they're a lot of them and they aren't posted) they descend on you and brusquely correct the error. These aren't mean people - they're just doing their job, and it's an important one. However, there's got to be a better way to ensure a safe shooting environment. I'm really conscientious about obeying the range rules, but I can't get through a clip without at least one of these rather harsh admonitions. Again, the place is solid... but there should be a more constructive way to help people that want to follow the rules. The distraction and awkwardness of the constant interruptions affect the experience.

Following that I signed up for 1 on 1 training with John. I got sick a couple days before & tried to reschedule. The app on the website didnt have that functionality so I called. They couldnt figure it out either but required me to pay 50% anyway. Their app doesnt work so I was forced to pay $50 for a lesson where I would likely get the instructor sick. Rather than reschedule, I will just cancel and find another range. disappointed!

Had my 3rd session at Big Boar with Tate today. Every time I go I learn critical defense skills…read morethat address any shortcomings I have. Tate gives advice and 'homework' that I can take back to practice at the indoor range and dry firing at home. Thanks to Big Boar I am now 100% confident in shooting with iron sights and in reactive and tactical shooting. It's a bit of a drive to get to to Big Boar but 1000% worth it. I've been shooting for 40+ years and in the last 3 months I have improved exponentially. The joy of shooting has come back to me. Before Big Boar, going to the range was kind of like a dreaded exercise session. Since taking my first session at Big Boar, shooting is fun again as well as a challenge and a self improvement, self esteem reward. I can't recommend Big Boar and Tate enough. Photos show targets from reactive shooting at 10yrds with no optics, 2 shots fired in 0.83 to 1.04 seconds. 3 months ago, I wouldn't even have had a clue or chance of doing this.
