Stopped by for a post-dinner drink after hearing the music from The Quite Pour and I can't tell you if they made the experience or our waiter Brendan. They both made the ambiance perfect and the drinks were top notch. A wine flight made this memorable and the little kitchen right by your table inside would be a fun experience. All around highly recommend and you won't be disappointed here!

Ricky's wine bar is a fabulous new spot near old colonial Williamsburg. If you're like me and love hanging out in the area this is a must drop in place! Wine bar already had my attention, and the location can't be beat. The wait staff were on their game and eager to serve. I loved my conversation with the owner Ricky, who is originally from Florence Italy. I only enjoyed the wine this time around but look forward to enjoying the food fair. The wine and cocktail menu were definitely well thought out. My only complaint is that they open late in the day, what is a wandering wine connoisseur to do?

These people are so kind & passionate about food & wine! Lyn our server was friendly. Rick the owner & Chef is legit! This quaint former office space has been thoughtfully renovated with a small food prep area in the dining room where you can watch as Rick & his assistant prepare your dishes. It's really a foodie's frontier with Chef Rick's food artistry! We had the wine flights-Rose' for myself & Italy for Hubby. The Bruschetta Toscana was robust & paired well with most of the wine we tasted. The Burrata(a different type of cheese w/a slightly firm exterior & soft interior) was refreshing & light atop shaved pickled carrots and pesto adorned with pomegranate kernals. It was a classy escape from the record heat during our shopping in Williamsburg.

What a GEM! Stopped by to checkout this new place and we are so happy we did! The 4 of us sat at the bar for drinks. Bartender Matt was awesome and made great cocktails for us...old fashioned, mule and Aperol Spritz. We also tried the Italian Wine flight. They have a limited food menu but Extensive drink menu! We met the owner Ricky who was wonderful. We tried the pepperoni pizza and cannelloni and all were BELLISIMO. They are starting music next week and have their schedule on their website. I definitely can't wait to return!

She made recommendations and was so attentive and funny. Hubby was between 3 different meals but went with the Hanger steak special. It came with a potato knish, perfectly cooked asparagus, in a burblanque sauce. He said it was one of the best meals he ever had and it was cooked medium rare as he requested. He also had a perfect manhattan. I wasn't super hungry, so I went for the salmon poor boy. It was crunchy and delicious and the sauce was perfect. I had a Saint Germain spritzer which was light and refreshing. We couldn't leave without ordering beignets. They came with a chocolate and a vanilla sauces. Hubby got a coffee that came in a fun cup. The decor in the restaurant was so fun and made people feel welcome.

Starting with the service, the staff were attentive and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming. While portion sizes were reasonable, several dishes lacked the creativity and seasoning needed to stand out. The mussels and French onion soup were highlights, but the escargot and rotisserie chicken were only average. For dessert, the Gateau Breton is fantastic and a standout! However, I would skip the beignets if you are expecting the traditional version. These are smaller with the consistency of a donut hole, and lack the light, pillowy texture typically associated with classic beignets.

This was a highlight of our Williamsburg trip!…read more I made a reservation about a month out and I'm glad I did. It was so busy when we showed up. They asked us if we wanted to wait for a few minutes at the bar while they prepared our table so we ordered a couple of drinks. As soon as we ordered they came to get us. No big deal, we just paid and took our drinks with us. We were sat toward the front of the restaurant, which gave us the perfect people-watching position. Our server stopped by to greet us and said she'd be back. Waters and bread were delivered and she oriented us to the menu. We made our selections of salmon for my husband and short ribs with a side of squash. Everything was delicious. We were happy with our selections and so full when we left. I appreciate that the short ribs are boneless and tender and had the perfect seasoning. I'd eat that dish again anytime!

We weren't sure where the restaurant was located within the building so we stopped to ask where the Terrace a room was at a hostess stand where three women were working. They all stared at us like we had dropped from the sky and then one woman gestured down the hall. Except it wasn't down the hall. We were in fact at the Terrace Room hostess stand. Sort of an odd beginning. We were seated at a two top with one chair and a couch with huge pillows scattered all over that left no room to actually sit. Had to toss them to the center of the couch to squeeze in. The menus are giant in size so it's hard to lay them down on the small table. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We started off with a bourbon cocktail that included some candied ginger and was very refreshing. The server gave us each a small cube of bread and some butter. It was sort of comical how miserly they were with the bread. The menu offerings were sort of odd but we were able to watch what other tables ordered to make our selections. The entree prices are pretty hefty. We each got a Caesar Salad to start that was good. We both settled on the brisket sandwich (a July Fourth special) and one of us got the fries and the other a side of summer veggies that was squash & zucchini. The sandwich was okay but nothing grand for $21 and the veggie side caused us to both explode with laughter at how meager it was. C'mon folks, squash is dirt cheap so load it up. Absolutely ridiculous. Their wine selections were not super familiar to us and pricey but they give you an ample pour. The Inn itself is very beautiful and the night stars shimmering on the reflecting pool out front is very romantic. I'd recommend a drink at the bar and skipping the $200 dinner for two.
