This is a racket run by crooks and backed by legislature. My car was stolen and I was informed a week later that I could pick it up from ricky's for a ridiculous fee. Took me a few days, with additional charges, of course, which took every penny I had, only to find the vehicle undrivable. At no time was I given this information. And of course the fee was non refundable. So I had to leave it and make arrangements to either have it towed asap, fees still accumulating, or have it become their property. With no more funds, that limited my options. This is how his business grew so rapidly. By cheating uninformed victims with over-inflated fees and taking possession of their inaccessible vehicles. Worst towing company ever! Got towed for parking in reverse on a regular parking! They said there was "signs" posted that you can't park backwards there which I never saw and there was a motorcycle parked backwards next to me which was one of the reason why I parked like that second there was kidding playing so for safety percussions I backed up so when I left I would be able to see the kids. Walked outside while it was being toward so took a uber to Ricky's towing charge me $220 for 20mins that it was there. When I got it fender was bent and my rim was scratched from towing. I understand that the stigma for a vehicle getting towed is usually negative, but that is not always the case and it is completely unprofessional for the employees to be unnecessarily rude to you. In my situation, I had my vehicle fixed at another company. The company lost track of my vehicle (it got towed away by Ricky's on the opposite side of town) so they threw away the key. Keep in mind that there is only one copy of the key. The towing company did not tell me that the key was missing and had no idea whether the vehicle was even functional or not. They simply told me that they could tow it for about an additional $500 and that we had an hour to get it out of the lot. We discovered the predicament after we paid all of our fees ~$1.5k. We desperately tried to recover the key, but as I stated; there isn't one. I'm not upset about the money. I'm upset about the lack of transparency and the eyerolls, sighs, and the blatant rude tone of everyone I encountered at this site. I'm sorry that MY problems are an inconvenience to you. Instead of helping me, I was made to feel like the scum of the Earth. How DARE I ask for help? But I kept being polite and- if it weren't for the mask- a smile on my face. Can I give no stars cause I would love to . Towed my truck had to removed drive shaft. . Tipped driver to put it back in . He left all of the bolts I tightened even failed to put one back altogether. THIEVES!!! The towers were nice but when it comes to fees, there is no information Of fees on the website, inside the building, nor when I called and talked to someone. They changed the price 3 times over the phone in one single day. Also my car was towed at 11:59 PM (literally) and they counted that minute as a full day. My company had the vehicle towed here in order for myself to get the random urinalysis done as part of its protocol. This company thought the vehicle was abandoned, which it wasn't and decided to steal the $350 trucker gps that I purchased. They recall it being on the unit last night when they locked it up, and upon my arrival the next day to get it, it was no longer here. I asked them for f I could write a claim and they said "I don't know!" I asked them if there are cameras to look at the surveillance and originally it was possible, then it was stated, "we don't have cameras that point in the front!" Something isn't adding up and I would simply like my gps back because truckers paths a lot different then cars and we rely heavily on the correct route to take! read more

The worst service ever, I will not recommend Ricky's Towing services to anyone! I needed my car to be towed from 2 blocks away from my house, they come and load my car and drop it from the top of the truck. I tried to get a hold of the owner and he was out of town, he never bother to call back, we called back 5 days later and were told to bring the car so they can get it fix, that the car was going to be ready in 3 days for as to pick up, I call and ask if the car is ready and they said that they did not get to it, but I never got a courtesy call from them to tell me that it was going to take longer. I been without a car for 4 weeks sense then, they never bother to call or give me an update on when the car is going to be ready my husband is been having to get a ride to work everyday so that I can keep the truck sense we have kids, that have to get places and I have to work. I called yesterday and they said the car would be ready at the end of the day, still got no call to go pick it up, called back today and I'm waiting on a call, at this point I don't know what to do, I'm am very frustrated and unhappy I should of hire a lawyer but don't have the money, I hope this never happens to anyone else is very stressful to be dealing with such an unprofessional business. read more

My daughter is 8 months pregnant and waited for 1 hour and 50 minutes for them to show up in Hollywood road on 11-3-19 and they had called 2 times to see if they was going to be there soon and they finally showed up and the guy was so rude and didn't say 1 word to them. Made them wait outside while he was loading the car and finally got in the truck and he was shaking so bad he couldn't write and then on the way to canyon he was texting and driving in both lanes and all over the road. He didn't say 1 word to them all the way there and then he unloaded the car then asked them for 20.00 after he asked for the triple A card (that paid for the towing). So just bc she was 17 and he thought she was going to give him money. She thought he was on drugs or drinking because he couldn't hardly talk or write. Called and told the dispatcher at Ricky's and she asked me if I was there and I said no, then she proceeded to tell me that it's his word against hers. She also had a friend with her. truck broke down in Amarillo, TX and I lived four hours away. I tried working on it but I did not have the money or the time to fix it (moving to new job out of state within a month). I know, I know, leaving a derelict vehicle on the street in a residential neighborhood was not a good idea, but I had no choice. The following month I left Texas for my new job and just had to say goodbye to the old truck for now. My plan was to come back to Texas and pick up the truck and get the rest of my stuff that was in storage. At the beginning of August, I received a letter from the City of Amarillo stating that my truck was a derelict vehicle and Cantu Towing was taking it to 3710 Tradewind in Amarillo, TX. A few months later, I received a letter from a lawyer stating that I was being sued because my 1992 Ford F-150 was involved in a hit and run (rear ended an AC Unit on someone's property and the driver fled the scene). In the first place, the truck was not driveable, the linkage in the shifter was not connected so how did it back up into someone's AC unit? The guy (Chris Self) who is suing me just happens to own a State Farm agency at the corner of 3100 block of S. Georgia and 3100 block of Curtis Drive but my truck broke down and I parked it at Monroe and 32nd Streets.
