I've never said anything nice about a tow/impound lot, but my god these people were friendly and so helpful. I've been reading reviews about a grouchy guy, thankfully I didn't meet him. I did meet 5 or 6 of the kindest, most polite women who sped me through the pick up process and watched my mum in a wheelchair while I fetched the car out back. Price was typical, about a hundred bucks a day. but I was given a reimbursement form to fill out and submit to AAA. One woman in particular helped me but every other employee greeted me with an ear to ear genuine smile. Very happy with their service. read more

We have gone to Ricky's Towing for an inspection sticker for our 32 ft class A motor home for several years. Usually it's not a big deal, but the last couple of times have not been pleasant. We were yelled at for parking in front of the wrong bay, this grouchy old fart will not even say Hi and acts as if your bothering him or making him do his job. Our camper gets winterized over the winter and uncovered in the middle of April, after the snow melts. We usually take it in for an inspection in late April and didn't realize that the grouchy old fart, gave us a January sticker! So now this year 2025, the inspection has already expired! Don't go to Ricky's for any service! We will have to find another place that does inspections for big rigs, in the Leominster area! They don't even deserve 1 star!!! read more

I go there to get a sticker, as I have done many times in the past, and as usual, their wonderful and polite attitude make you feel like your an inconvenience. Mind you, I am the only one there, no other vehicles waiting. I made the most gravest sin of mistakes by pulling into the right lane instead of the left. Keep in mind, no other vehicles in sight. As im about to move to the correct lane next to me, the bay door opens. Im met by 2 employees, smug looks and hurried waves to enter. Upon entering, my window is down and I hear one happy employee state "Guess nobody can read" followed by the other replying " I'll just have to charge a $130 dollars instead." After being told like I'm 10 yrs old, If I do this again, I'll be charged $130 dollars because the side I am on is for Commercial Trucks. (Note: This facility may have 2 bay doors but is fully wide open without any separation barriers). My thoughts, why did you wave me in, in the first place. So I reply cordially "Yes Sir". Upon exiting my vehicle I look at the other jolly fellow and say "Am I the one your referencing your comment about "Guess nobody can read". Waiting for a response but as I figured no reply. I get working with the general public isn't easy and people have bad days but taking it out on other customers doesn't fly here. Needed an inspection performed for 24', pulled up about 10am to an Open "Inspection" bay that had one team member and a vehicle staged at the far end. Got immediately yelled at, "What are you doing?" to which I replied, "Hello, I need an inspection". The reaction of this employee was as if he caught me sleeping with his wife. Maybe his dog died or he was having a monumentally bad day but the exchange was so negative I actually was concerned for future customers. After a moment or so of berating I just scoffed and left. I would never typically leave a negative review but wow, had I signed up for yelp just for this encounter. DO NOT get service done here if possible, no one deserves that level of disrespect especially several hours into the day. read more

NEVER use this towing. They were called by Police since our trailer got brakes locked up and driver was blocking ramp on interstate. We asked this towing to bring this truck and trailer to repair shop. They REFUSED stating that it takes too much time to tow 11 miles to the repair shop, instead, they dropped truck and trailer in parking lot across their fence, where they know, that truck repairs are not allowed. Furthermore, they left driveshaft disconnected. Once you call them, you feel like you are speaking with a wall. Clueless dispatcher who is enjoying that she is in charge here, feeling above all others. They are completely taking advantage that they were called by Police, and in case you need to call their service on your own - DON'T. They will rip you off, and leave you stranded. read more

Just had an altercation with one of their lovely little drivers. He almost ran me over backing up and almost hit my girlfriend's car. I said whoa whoa, you almost hit us, and he became nasty and aggressive right away. I reported him to the sheriff's and left message on owners voice mail. No response, no apology... They are part of the Leominster Towing Association which is what the Leominster Police Department uses for towing. PREY you do not get into an accident in Leominster. If you do, prey these guys are not called. Despicable customer service. The rudest receptionist I've ever dealt with. Don't even try to get a receipt or write up on what your billing billed on. They will try to milk you for every dollar you have. $500 to get my car from here after it was towed after an accident. City of Leominster should be ashamed of themselves for enabling this company. While the other drivers insurance company is still trying to screw me over on paying for towing and storage the employees at Ricky's are being more than helpful with trying to get what is owed to me. My car was recently towed by Ricky's when I got into an accident. My husband called the next day and asked them how much it was going to cost to take it out if the yard and they said 180. Thats an outrageous price. When he got there they told him that they were going to tow it across the street because they weren't going to let him load it on the lot. Well, they slapped another 80 dollar charge...just for transferring the car across the street. So we had to pay 260 altogether! The last time my car had to be towed it only cost 100 to get out of the yard. And then on top of it all, my husband and two young children were made to wait a half hour before anyone got him the car. read more

I went to get my truck inspected and pulled up to the open bay where an older man was waiting. I stopped before entering waiting for him to tell me I was 'OK' to drive into the bay. He started yelling/swearing at me saying "what the F*** are you doing out the there - PULL IN! I pulled forward, and he didn't think I was far in enough, and the yelling from the man continued. I confronted him saying I don't know what his issue was but I just wanted my truck to be inspected. His response: "I have given up on you and the rest of you all. I don't give a f*** what you want, all I want is to get my f'ing job done and get you out of here". I got out of my car, he inspected it, he pulled my car out, and he said to me "you're all set. Paperwork is on the dash. Have a great f'ing day". There were other employees there listening to the whole thing! Not a word said by them so this must be the norm. Unbelievable really, but I will never be going back, and I urge you not to go there. Called them today for a car that has been sitting for 3 days, a friend had offered to help and never did. Needed a tow at this point in time. Called Ricky's for a quote for point A to point B possible 8 mile trip. Explained the situation, got put on hold. Another person came back and asked what I wanted. I started to explain same story. Rudely interrupted by this guy BLASTING $200.00 BUCKS!!!! and slammed the phone down on me!. I was angry so I called back. Person answering claimed he did not know who took over the phone call. If I could give this company "0" stars, I would. The irony in this entire situation is a man whose job is to help people having automobile problems endangered us in our automobile. Today when I was driving on a state highway, I was IN FRONT of a Ricky's driver when we came into a lane merge (2 lanes into 1). The Ricky's driver, an older white male with a white mustache, immediately accelerated to pass me in the merge (after my lane had already ended) in order to prevent me from merging into traffic in front of him. He attempted to run me off the road entirely and nearly caused a very serious accident on a state highway. He then took the same right exit off the highway from me. While driving down the road I got his plate number, and when he took a left turn off the road, I slowed to get the company name off the side of his truck. This is when he immediately reversed INTO traffic to turn around back where he came from, coming less than an inch from hitting me, and blocking me from driving forward. I had to reverse my own car to stop him from hitting my car. He then proceeded to yell at me out his window (which I could not hear because mine was up), while I pointed to the Ricky's name and number on his truck, indicating that I was calling the company to report him. My boyfriend then called Ricky's while I was driving away, and the man who answered the phone at 6:00 PM attempted to LIE and said they "sell tow trucks and don't have drivers". My boyfriend then yelled at the man and stated that his driver attempted to run us off the road and then hit us, and blocked us from driving forward in traffic. He told them that the Ricky's Towing sign was right on the side of the white tow truck and that we were going to be contacting the state police. The Ricky's person then stated "good luck with that" and HUNG UP on us. I will be contacting the state police and Lancaster police (where this occurred) to file a police report (per the police instructions) as well as the Better Business Bureau, and the Attorney Generals office. Saturday morning I called them and they said it was a 180 dollar fee. This is outrageous! I called around to other towing companies to compare prices and most of them range between 100-125. So, I got there and they had moved my suv to another parking lot! I had to pay extra 80 dollars because they moved it. I called and spoke with the manager Monday morning and she told me it was just too bad that I was dissatisfied. She said and I quote, there is no way you are getting a refund for anything from us. I asked her why they had moved my Suv, telling them it was unfair to take it off the lot and go park it in a public parking lot then charge me 80 dollars for doing it. She said, we don't let people with unregistered trailers with no license plates pick up cars from our yard. I confronted her, I told her that she was outright lying because that was absolutely not true. She said basically that I was the one lying and it was just too bad for me that I had to pay extra but I deserved it. First, no one ever went behind the trailer and second, no one ever asked to see the registration papers so they had no idea if it was or wasn't. Then she hung up on me!!! I called the better business bureau on this company immediately after this conversation. I gave them all of the details with my experience. They will be contacting them and they asked me if I could provide them with a copy of my registration along with a picture of the license plate. They said if I did that, they will include in the report that I was falsely accused as well as let me write a report under their review.
