They sent me the flash sheet, it was awesome, but unfortunately my plans had changed and I couldn't make it until Saturday. These guys are awesome and offered to honor the Friday the 13th flash price on Saturday when I could get there. How cool! When I arrived, I asked if we could add another design, the artist, Dumar, was so flexible and accommodating. Have to shout these guys out in particular: Dumar, my artist, is awesome. His work is tight, lines are super clean and he worked quickly. I am so pleased with the two pieces I got from him. Sebastian greeted us when we arrived and helped get us checked in. He was so friendly and hospitable, really made us feel comfortable and at home. He even brought us coffee! What a sweetheart. At the end of the appointment, Dumar took Polaroid photos of us and printed them out so Sebastian could put them on a commemorative post card. Such a sweet and personalized touch. I have been getting tattooed for a long time, and this service was over the top, especially for a shop that probably sees a lot of walk ins. Prices started at $85 for 10 mins and went up for every 10 mins. They were very accommodating for three of us who had no real idea about what we wanted to get. They were able to fit us in between their already scheduled appointments. The store itself is extremely clean and they offer you refreshments while you're waiting to get into the chair. Robert and JC were able to make our designs and get the needles buzzing within minutes. The lines were clean and we are all very happy with our whole entire experience. Look at the photo and judge the hand for yourself. When I had tears in my eyes over how it looked, rather than being met with compassion or professionalism, the artist and his father told me, "Something is wrong with you, you need therapy." When I arrived, Tiago and I chose a reference we both agreed worked better for the placement. Before starting, we specifically discussed changing the hand. I told him I did not like the hand in the reference and wanted it to look elegant and anatomically natural. He assured me he would make that adjustment. Once he began tattooing, I confirmed this again. Several hours later, I looked at it and felt nauseous. The fingers were thick and blunt, and the thumb, nails and overall anatomy looked distorted, the exact element we had discussed changing. I was visibly upset, but I was not yelling, insulting anyone or being disrespectful. Instead of listening to my concern, Tiago and his father, Kiko, became defensive. They insisted the hand looked good and said they had followed the reference, which made no sense considering we had specifically agreed the hand would be changed. The conversation then became personal, culminating in being told, "Something is wrong with you, you need therapy." Even if they believed the tattoo looked absolutely perfect, there is no justification for treating a client this way. When someone is distressed about something that has just been permanently tattooed on their body, the professional response is to stop, listen and discuss what can be done, not gang up on the client and attack her personally. Kiko then criticized the amount of time spent positioning my stencil and compared me to another client he had tattooed for six hours. The stencil took approximately 40 minutes. The placement was difficult because of my elbow and existing tattoos, and Kiko himself helped reposition it. I was in the shop for less than four hours total. Using 40 minutes spent carefully positioning a permanent tattoo against a client afterward is astonishing. I have since been advised that the hand needs to be lasered before it can be properly redone. I included the reference and finished tattoo so people can judge the work for themselves. Whether someone else likes the hand is beside the point. A client should be able to say she is unhappy with something permanently tattooed on her body without being humiliated and told she needs therapy. This was by far the worst and most absurd experience I have ever had in a tattoo shop.

She let me know about the process, walk ins, bookings, etc. She was definitely friendly and professional. We walked in around 845pm and met with Erick. My wife had a few ideas and he was quick to react. He showed confidence that you want from a tattoo artist but he also offered his opinion to avoid compromising the piece which sometimes leads to a bad tattoo. He gave us the price, which was the shop min, and we were rolling. He took the time to sketch it out and explain how the tattoo would be placed and look. He also showed us, every step, how the process worked and how everything was clean and sterile. After a quick stencil placement, the tattoo was started and completed in about 5 minutes. (Quill) His calm demeanor and friendly disposition lead to a second tattoo which wasn't even planned. Another conversation and sketch and we were into number two. This one came with a little more detail but Erick did a great job. He talked with my wife the whole way and kept her focused on being calm and just enjoying the process. This one took a little longer due to the additional detail but it came out just as good. (Palm tree, sun and the word Breathe) Ericks talent is only rivaled by his easy going mentality. I would recommend him to anybody who wants not only a great tattoo, but a fantastic overall tattoo experience. We will back to black water to ask for Erick.

I've been following his work for many years but never really got the chance to get tattoos because I live out of state. But as soon as I stepped foot in Miami, I reached out to him via Instagram. (Follow his work if you're aren't already doing so). His schedule is usually pretty booked (because he's that good) but he told me When he may have available time slots as walk in on a specific dates. I showed up and thank the tattoo gods that he was available to pencil me in! He was able to tattoo my sister and I. We both got palm trees but in completely different styles. He was able to put our personalities into each tattoo design. He was very meticulous with his technique with fine lines in both color and in black & whites.
