After a day at the beach we de died to get a snack before heading back to the hotel. Once again found this place on Yelp. Delicious bread and coffee - a little bakery with inside and outside seating.
We always always have breakfast here whenever we stay at Margarita. The service is fast and we love the non- touristy vibe
The raspberry-filled pastry was delicious! It was the size of my head and only $3.25. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating available. Clean bakery and friendly employees. Lots of tourists were here when I came.
I visited Puerto Rico last week and stayed near Rico Pan bakery so I had their sandwiches for breakfast!! My favorite was tortipan which has ham, onions, peppers and cheese. These sandwiches are huge so you can definitely share!
Hands down the best bread in town. The sandwiches are amazing. I had a breakfast and lunch sandwich over 3 visits. Cafe con leche was rich and delicious. I wish there was one in California!!!
We always like to find bakeries when we visit new places, especially because we have such a sweet tooth! We saw that this bakery was on the way to El Yunque and decided to give it a shot for breakfast. The parking lot is small and tight, and down lower than the main road, but we were able to get a spot. But because it's located right at the entrance to the main road, it is a little tricky getting back out of the parking lot. As I said, we had intended to get something sweet, but as we waited in line for our turn behind five or six others, we saw so many other great options coming by that we changed our mind. My boyfriend ordered a more traditional breakfast with eggs, a side of ham, and that delicious Puerto Rican bread as toast. I got an egg, cheese, and ham breakfast sandwich on the Puerto Rican bread. It was to die for! It was hot, melty, and delicious. I thought about that breakfast sandwich the rest of the week! It was large and very filling, I could barely finish it. You order at a counter, and then wait while they make your order. They do have a seating area which turned over pretty quickly, so we were able to get seats after ordering very easily. The interior decorations aren't much, but the food is so delicious. It doesn't really matter! I would highly, highly recommend a stop here for breakfast!!
Food was fairly good. I would recommend the sandwiches over the bakery items, as they can be pretty dry. The bakery items are hit or miss. If you get them while they're fresh and still moist, they are excellent. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic though! They load the meat and toppings on, so you really get a good bang for your buck.
We loved the breakfast sandwiches from Rico Pan Bakery--they were everything we wanted and more! After hiking through El Yunque, we stopped by Rico Pan and found the place packed. To our surprise, our hiking guide showed up about 10 minutes after us, sharing that she eats there regularly--which made the experience even more memorable. The menu is extensive, parking is plentiful, and the fresh bread, perfectly pressed, took the sandwiches to the next level. Highly recommend stopping here if you're visiting El Yunque National Park!
On vacation, I had to stop here more than once. The coffee was delicious and the bread was so good. We had a Cubano and I also enjoyed a bacon egg and cheese. Service was fast and affordable
Note that there are two Rico Pan locations, both in Río Grande. I've noticed people have posted reviews for this location on the other location's page. This page should be named Rico Pan Bakery #2 to avoid any confusion as it's their second location. This location is off PR-3 at the entrance of the road that leads to Rio Mar. This makes it a convenient and good option to grab an affordable breakfast. El Yunque is also close so you can stop here and grab a sandwich to or from your visit to the rainforest. Parking is shared with a few other businesses. One of those is Pika Pollo BBQ, which I think is owned by the same people. At least, I assume that because they share the interior. I made a quick stop here after running an errand. I ordered the Rico Pan. It was a big sandwich, filling. I could have shared it with somebody else. It was also good. It was round 11am so it was fairly busy. Sandwich did take a bit but it was bearable. I did notice the price on the wall menu was $1 less than what they charged me. I'm guessing they recently changed prices and haven't updated it. There was a QR menu. Maybe that has up to date prices.
Breakfast at Rico Pan Bakery #2 was an experience. We tried to go to their original location 10 minutes away, but couldn't figure out the parking situation since it was on the main road. We looped around and went back to the location #2 that we passed on the way. This parking lot was full and the driveway to the back parking lot was blocked by two vehicles. We drove around and figured out how to get to the parking lot in the back. We walked past the chickens and roosters into this cute little diner breakfast spot. Guests in line directed us to the back of the line which was in the connected chicken business. I browsed the menu while my boyfriend snagged us a table. The restaurant was absolutely packed. I waited in line for 30 minutes and we waited for our food for about 30-45 minutes. You need to be patient if you go here! The workers were hustling - it was just very busy. We ordered a passionfruit juice, a box of donut holes, a raspberry pastry, 1 bacon egg and cheese sandwich, a veggie omelet with toast and hashbrowns + coffee. I think the total was only $26 or $28. Such a deal and huge portions. The bread was the highlight! They slather it in thick yellow butter which is something I would not typically indulge in - but when on vacation! The donut holes were SOOOO good too! A mix of sugar and glazed for only $2. They were puffy and soft and delicious. My boyfriend dipped them in his coffee and was in heaven. He loved the huge sandwich. My omelet was overcooked (to me), but was fine for breakfast. The women working were very sweet and patient. Great little local spot.

Este es un local que mitada es Panaderia y la otra mitad restaurante y comparten por dentro espacios. Bueno, pedimos el café y 1 dona de azúcar para mañana empezar dieta. Mi suegra pidió un cheesecake pero no me dan tiempo de tomarle fotos!! Estuvimos un rato conversando y lo pasamos bien. El Servcio Excelente y ambiente familiar.
Best food in Fajardo- so delicious! We had Arroz Con Gandules (rice & peas) and rotisserie chicken. Dessert was Chocolate dipped cheesecake and chocolate covered strawberries. We sat outside because the air-conditioning seating inside was too cold for us since we were wet from the beach. The only picture I got was from the strawberry that survived.
Hopped into this bakery/restaurant for our last breakfast in Puerto Rico. The place was recommended by the hotel staff that said their pastries, sandwiches and breakfast were delicious. And, they were not wrong. The place is located on the corner of the busy highway and the street that leads up to the Wyndham Rio Mar resort. There is limited parking however you can park along the street and then walk down. The bakery itself is connected to another restaurant that serves broiled chicken and other delicious Puerto Rican bites. We had breakfast there and it was delicious. We ordered a beef pastelillo (empanada), a sandwich called bocadillo (IYKYK), lattes, and an egg scramble that came with a side of cloud bread (pan sobao). Everything was delicious here, again like most places you can share the breakfast except for the beef empanada. I ate half my sandwich and took the other half to eat on the way home. The ambience is nice, the staff is very friendly and attentive. The place is clean and there are plenty of tables and seating available. The chicken restaurant next-door, which they also run, was not open yet. I am definitely planning on coming back to have breakfast yet again and also try the chicken place next door. Enjoy! Ps. Food was fairly good. I would recommend the sandwiches over the bakery items, as they can be pretty dry. The bakery items are hit or miss. If you get them while they're fresh and still moist, they are excellent. The sandwiches are absolutely fantastic though! We loved the breakfast sandwiches from Rico Pan Bakery--they were everything we wanted and more! After hiking through El Yunque, we stopped by Rico Pan and found the place packed.
