This review is going to be a mixed bag. We decided to pop in on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. We…read morewere the only patrons in the building. The staffer seared us quickly and got our initial drink order. Chips were brought to the table, which were a bit stale but passable and salsa was also presented. The salsa is a bit thin for my liking but my grandson liked it. We proceeded to wait on the staffer to come back after dropping off drinks and then disappearing. We watched him walk into the parking lot and from there we didn't see the staffer for another 10 minutes. Smoke break? I don't know. We got margaritas; Yum! 4 of us dined and only one of us was unhappy with their food. The taco salad had massive amounts of runny beans which broke the taco shell down too quickly. I would suggest lining the taco bowl with lettuce. And thicken up the beans. The shrimp with queso and rice was delicious! I am rating 4/5 for mostly good food but weird service.

When you order the nachos, it includes a bag of extra chips & salsa on the side. I do have to note that sometimes they be a little skimpy on the meat even when ordered extras. My Bf usually get the nachos but this last time, he tried the wings. They have 20 party wings for $19. You can get BBQ & Buffalo sauce which came on the side. The wings were decent size & pretty tasty.

From the vibes of the restaurant itself to the kind and helpful staff to the absolutely incredible food -- it's ALL good. Special shout out to their bean dip with the white cheese dip all over it. So dang good. I can be a snob about chips & salsa, too, and I really love theirs at El Patron. The restaurant is right next to the train tracks so they have a fun toy train that goes around the perimeter of the store inside which we all love. (Especially my kids!)

They brought out complimentary chips and salsa--definitely a highlight. The chips were seasoned (not your typical plain chips), and paired really well with the salsa. Super flavorful! For drinks, I ordered the Tornado Jumbo, and my husband got a Tornado with Hennessy added. Both were really good. I especially liked that each layer had a distinct flavor--some places make colorful drinks that all taste the same, but that wasn't the case here. We ordered a single order of steak, chicken, and shrimp fajitas. While the flavor was good, it did feel a bit heavy on the vegetables and a little light on the meat. When the dish first came out, it included bacon, which we weren't expecting and don't eat. However, the staff handled it well--they apologized and quickly remade it without any issue. Great customer service there. Even with the single order, we were able to make about five tacos, which was nice. My daughter ordered the kids' cheese pizza with a side option (fries or rice and beans). The pizza was similar to a frozen-style pizza, and she didn't care for it, but she did enjoy the chips, rice, and beans. Overall, I've been wanting to try this place since we're in the area often, and I'm glad we did. The menu is extensive, and there are plenty of options to come back and try. Our waitress was also very nice and attentive throughout our visit. I would definitely return!

I asked the waitress if I could send it back and get something else and she said that was fine. I decided after having already had some of their shrimp cocktail and cheese dip not to order anything else. When I got the check, I saw that that dish that I barely took one bite of and sent back was still on the check. I asked her if I could get that taken off since I didn't eat it, and the waitress went and asked the manager and she refuses to take it off. I feel like this is bad customer service and I was quite surprised that they still charged me for a dish I did not eat. I've never had that happen anywhere. No discount, no explanation from the manager herself, so that's just poor management.
