Shredded up chicken with lettuce and sour cream on a nice flour taco. The service is always nice and quick. The place is very old school lowkey hope in the spot vibe.

Reviews make this place seem good but I didn't get to experience good when I came to eat here. First off this place needs a serious cleaning and maybe a fresh coat of paint. Not a deal breaker for me because sometimes holes in the wall have serious food. I ordered the carnitas burrito and really what it was pounds of rice and beans in a burrito with little pork. It was edible but not worth it. With plenty of taco/burrito options in the area they need to step their game up.

Still one is the best taco spots in NYC and most importantly still open during this crisis. Support this amazing local small business that has been here over 20 years. The oreja taco is amazing. Tender and flavorful with the little crispy cartilage crunch in the middle. You have to come

This place been here forever! I've been coming here since I was a teenager, but not often since I don't live around here, but at least every other month. This place has never disappointed me. My go-tos are al pastor and chorizo tacos. Always filled with flavor and they do fill the tacos nicely. Yes, the place looks sort of dingy, I don't think it's been renovated, but the food is good! I also like to order their lime juice.

This place had completely blanketed the neighborhood with their trash. There are Ricos Tacos stickers on everything - poles, neighborhood free libraries for children, trees, bus stops, just everywhere. The menus are even worse - they are littering the streets on every block. Polluting the neighborhood with litter is not ok. They're a really bad neighbor to have done this. Making the residents live in their filth and clean it up themselves is unacceptable. They need to clean it up. All of the photos were taken within a 2 hour period this morning. Build business by offering quality, reasonably priced food. The money wasted on stickers and menus could have gone towards promotions to increase awareness. Destroying entire neighborhoods within a 15 block radius with trash is not going to entice people to support you.

2.5, rounding up for no good reason. Despite my better judgement, we recently did a taco/Mexican food crawl in Sunset Park. The goal was to definitively decide, one way or the other, if NYC had any good Mexican food (or at least any Mexican-style food comparable to the West Coast- forget about being comparable to any Mexican city). Long story short, not in Sunset Park. This place is fine. It's not as good as any taco truck in San Francisco. But the food is reasonable I guess. Our carnitas taco was OK. Our al pastor taco was meh. We had a tacos arabes that was gross. Maybe we were't supposed to order that. Mea culpa... Failure, once again...

My family and I have been coming here since I was a kid. The food here never failed! Tacos are delicious, meats are filled with flavor. It's a plus that they are opened late so any late night taco cravings just come here! I always get the al pastor, my favorite taco, and every now and then I would get carne asada. Only thing that isn't so appealing is that the owner never renovated or fixed anything up since... for as long as I can remember. So, it does look dingy and run down from inside and out, which can sometimes make people want to second think before eating here, but that aside the tacos are great here.

Beef, Chicken, and Spicy Pork Tacos.

A 25 minute wait for 6 little tacos on a Tuesday afternoon....was not even that busy. I was only crossing fingers that I would not get a ticket for parking at the hydrant right out front. Phew, I didn't. Thought it would've been a smooth and easy take out if I had an easy order. Two of each: Chicken, Spicy Pork, and Beef. Got home, stomach growling and everything, after all this, I take a bite into dry pieces of chicken. Okay, I still got my all time fave, the Spicy Pork, not even spicy. My last hope, oily beef. Not even that, they were rolled up in parchment paper, which it got stuck on to the tacos after being steamed in the take out container along with the grease from the beef. For now, I'll just say it was an off day.

    Creamy guacamole sauce!!! The best!!!

Things that make this joint my favorite spot 1. Hole in the wall; authentic 2. Guacamole sauce is like ice cream and I drain my food with it. 3. Cheap. I order so many things on the menu and the bill is still so cheap. Favorite things to order on the menu 1. Steak tostada 2. Steak taquitos Note: when it's busy, the wait for the food can be long. So long that you get delirious and angry. Once food hits the table, you become barbaric.

Everyone that works there is super attentive and for how busy they are they always make sure to check up on your table. Their tacos are extremely delicious, they don't hold back with make sure each taco is full of any kind of meat that you get! Full of flavor and just looking at them reminds you why they're the best. Some other notable things that you should get is the quesadillas and the nachos they have. I'll have to keep coming back to try other things. This neighborhood gem offers an industrialized minimalist form of decor with pops of color and art. Cozy but roomy, the bar area had mostly 2 seater tables and a few with high chairs. We recently went for a birthday brunch. Restaurant Week was still in effect but we decided to choose from the regular brunch menu. Place was low key and giving neighborhood vibes. The service was 10 STARS! Our waitress was extremely attentive and kind. We were also checked on by a second staff member who I think may have been a manager but cannot be certain. We started with cocktails and they serve chips and salsa gratis. I had the Jalapeno and Hibiscus Margarita and my friend ordered the Pepper Margarita with Strawberry and Chipotle. Mine was a bit on the sweet side without a hint of tequila. My friend's drink definitely was the better of the two. Not overly sweet and definitely a flavor of tequila was present. We also ordered a guacamole. I must say it was quite small and barely served 2 people. I suggest if more than 2 guests are part of the experience, order more than one. For my entree, I requested a market salad and 2 veggie tacos with a side of birria consume. Salad was very fresh and I am sure was made to order as opposed to premade a week prior and waiting in a fridge to be served. My tacos were average but satisfying. The consume was a bit disappointing as it was more of a water/broth based and not of a typical gravy consistency. It was not exciting. My friend's entree was the highlight of the experience. She had the brisket quesadilla. Never have I seen a quesadilla with a crispy outside such as this. A culinary masterpiece indeed. She consumed it all and not one complaint afterward. Delish. We did receive a complimentary Churro plate for the birthday celebration. They were drizzled with caramel and berries. Served warm, they were a dream for the palate. I did use the bathroom which was a single stall. It was clean enough but not well lit. The biggest downfall of my experience was the temperature of the restaurant. I understand it is summer, however, there was no A/C and the inside was extremely hot. I sweated through my entire experience. Even the bathroom felt like 100 degrees. We did not complain but our waitress noticed and brough a fan out to circulate the air. They do have ceiling fans but honestly I did not feel them. The management/owner should consider more temperature control methods during the hotter months as it was quite uncomfortable. To sum it up, I thought this experience was mostly positive and would patronize it again.

Most of all, what I really appreciated with every bite is that I wanted more and that it was so unique compared to anything else that I had ever tried. I thought the tasting menu was a really good deal, but you should also consider booking just a la carte because everything was so solid. You can tell when the chips served alongside the guacamole are so delicious and so unique that the rest of the meal is going to be incredible. I will say that it did seem slightly understaffed. Our waiters did the best they could, but dinner took longer than expected. It was still a great experience for both those on dates and those there with friends!

We got the deconstructed margarita and I really enjoyed it as well as the pina colada cocktail. Service was a bit on the slower side but to be fair, there weren't many people working the tables.
