Because I am wheelchair disabled veteran, Chris came to my house to do the transaction. He brought over the new vehicle, finished all paperwork, took my old vehicle back. All of this without having to transfer from my chair to wheelchair. I would definitely recommend Hadwin White to my brother veterans.

Luckily, I hadn't needed any repairs, or I would have had them done there as well. When I moved to Myrtle Beach last year, I planned on building a similar relationship with Hadwin White. I had my first maintenance done in November and was pleased. When my starter died, I arranged to have it towed to Hadwin White for repairs. I called to make sure I could pick up a loaner before I jumped in the tow truck to ride to Conway from Myrtle Beach. I spoke with Christine and Alison and neither one could promise me one of the two loaner cars they had on the lot at 3:00 in the afternoon. I was told I needed to have it evaluated before they could give me a loaner car and could not provide a car even though I had a dead starter and a 4:00 pm appointment for the next day. As the tow truck was pulling my car away, Alison called back and said I could have a loaner car if I agreed to a $155 diagnostic. At that point, I'd already made arrangements to have it towed to an independent garage. I'd paid a premium in the past to work with the service department at a dealership because they provided a premium service at a premium price. Hadwin White put an end to that.

That's why this review is so disappointing for me to write. Overall, I've had positive experiences with the dealership itself, but my experience with the service department has been frustrating due to ongoing communication issues. During my most recent visit, my vehicle was accepted on May 26, and I did not receive a meaningful update until June 1. I also had difficulty obtaining the diagnostic paperwork and had to follow up multiple times before finally receiving it. I was initially told the paperwork would be available when I picked up my vehicle, but that did not happen. One issue that contributed to my decision to seek a second opinion was the lack of clarity regarding the diagnosis itself. During conversations with the service department, I received what appeared to be a more specific explanation regarding the possible cause of the issue. However, when I eventually received the written documentation, the description was much more general and referenced only a complaint of blue smoke from tailpipe. The verbal explanation I received appeared more definitive than what was reflected in the written documentation. As a customer, I was left uncertain as to whether both were intended to convey the same conclusion. That lack of clarity made it difficult for me to fully understand the dealership's assessment and ultimately contributed to my decision to seek an independent evaluation. I appreciate that the dealership accepted my vehicle and did not charge me for this visit. However, the lack of communication and delays in providing documentation significantly affected my confidence in the service process. Because of these concerns, I ultimately had the vehicle towed to another repair facility for a second opinion. What was particularly frustrating was that when I followed up regarding my paperwork and other questions, I felt as though my concerns were not being taken seriously. After investing this much money with the dealership over the years, I expected better communication, better follow-through, and a greater sense of urgency when addressing customer concerns. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that neither my time nor my business was being valued appropriately. I genuinely hope the dealership improves its communication and customer follow-up practices, because those issues--not the vehicles themselves--are what have damaged my trust.
