Terrible Service Dept... Bought 3 cars from Grand Stand Nissan. Service Dept will STOP me from buying another. The absolute worst service department. You walk into service, 3 people staring at their computer, you have to say something to be welcomed. Highly unprofessional. I made a follow up appt for my rear brakes, they quoted 2 hours, it took 3 HOURS. When I asked for update after 2 hours, the service manger came out and acted like it was being impatient. It take 1.5 hours to do rear brakes. What annoyed me was he made it sound like I was unreasonable for asking him why it was taking so long. To top it all off, they charged $529 for rear brakes.... I purchased my car in January 2026.I love the car and the salesman was very nice.BUT...when they prep it, they just wash the outside of the car. They didn't clean the tires, wash the inside windows, vacuum the carpets or wipe down the inside doors. I ended up cleaning the car myself! We have always received great service and the staff have always been friendly and very helpful. I am here today for basic service (oil and tire rotation) on our 2017 Maxima SR. It was brought in quickly and the waiting room is very comfortable. The chairs have tables built in for laptops and tablets. There are complimentary drinks and snacks (see pic). I took my Altima in because my engine light had come on during my trip to Myrtle Beach. Tom was behind the counter. I told him about the issue and he said they had a full schedule and it would be a while before they could get to it. I told him I had no other transportation and would wait. He offered to check the engine code to see how serious the problem might be. In less than five minutes he found the problem to be a faulty sensor that was not serious and that it would not harm the engine if driven. He cleared the code and reset the engine light. I was on my way at no charge. I've seen some pretty average reviews on this business, mostly on the sales side. Had our 2019 Nissan towed to their s Service Department because the car left us stranded on the side of the road. The car would not go into drive or reverse and kept shutting off and the brakes were very hard to push. Obviously frustrated because it's a newer vehicle but understand things happen and it's "under" warranty with 45k miles so we send it to the dealer. Service department can't find the issue, "cars showing no codes", don't fix anything and charge $300 for diagnostic fees to fix nothing all though the car was towed there. Fees are charged for diagnostics because nothing was fixed and it's not a power train issue I'm told. Stay far far away from this dealership unless you like being ripped off! There are a lot of bad reviews on Grand Strand Nissan and now i know why! our Nissan Maxima lease was ending in 2 months,so we took it in to sell. we owed $19.5k and the book was 20-23k. we asked them if we could sell to them and Drew said that they would only give us $19k and that we would owe them money! i told them that i would sell it on my own and they told me that Nissan would not allow me to sell my leased car. I said, of course i can. i sell it to someone else and pay off the remaining amount. they again insisted that Nissan financial would not allow that! i was also surprised that they really did not want my car back - it had low miles - 21k, was garage kept and in perfect condition. i went on to KBB.com where they will make a cash offer, so i tried it. Gave them the info on the vehicle and they came back with a $20.5k offer! Then provided the names of dealerships that would honor that offer. Addys Harbor Dodge was on the list, so we went there and they gave us $20.5k for the Nissan with no pressure nor gimmicks! They did all of the paperwork with Nissan financial, locked up the car and sent us a check after they got the title from Nissan! grand strand nissan was very shady and the salesman was very cocky, they do not focus on customer service, especially when they think that you have no choice but to give them your car. He stopped after work at my house and went through my whole car step by step and made sure I understood all that he went over. We are so happy with this dealership, we have purchased a Murano(now a 2007), a Quest van which I loved but no longer needed the larger vehicle. I then purchased my new Rogue which I enjoy driving. Do not trust this auto body service or its managers. I came in to have my transmission checked as I had it replaced 11 months ago and it was under warranty. They lied to me and said nothing at all was wrong with it, although I had already had two other mechanics tell me there was an issue. They stated they ran the codes and the mechanic drove it, there was a difference small issue with a loose heat shield they fixed. Therefore, they charged me $142 for the inspection. It would have been free if the part was bad. Asked to see the scan and they back tracked, gave me a second inspection for free, took me total of 8 hours off work. Second time, they said nothing wrong, no codes. However, earlier that morning, my mechanic did a scan that I had in hand showing a torque convertor issue, when I told them about it, they then agreed it did have a bad scan and that the transmission needed to be replaced and was still under warranty. I fought to get a refund for the $142 initial service which they did, however, since they did not install the first tranmission, they refused to order the part. I called Nissan Assurance and got the run around. Have been lied to by the service rep, the manager and customer service who told me the corporation would pay to have it installed. then called back three days later and changed the story. I am a single mom, already paid my $500 toward the first transmission that took Nissan 3 months to get in stock, now they want me to pay $1,600 to have their faulty part replaced or force my mechanic to do the labor for free.. what crooks, I put in a better business complaint and still no one will have a manager call me. the service manager said he would not do business with someone like me who was upset and brought up their lies. I did not raise my voice or call them names, only pointed out they tried to keep me from getting a working transmission and therefore endangered my life to continue to drive a vehicle with a second faulty transmission from NIssan. I bought a 2017 pearl white Murano platinum from Grand Strand Nissan.This was a Certified used car. I felt confident that I was buying a quality cards. I noticed a small bubble in the paint on the left front fender last month. Now I have a bare spot where the paint peeled off, as big as my fist. I went to Grand Strand to see what Nissan would do for me, and after seeing a couple of representatives was told that they would do nothing, they only cover paint for 3 years. I now have a car valued at $35,000. That looks like crap with a big chunk of paint missing. I looked on line and find many complaints for the same thing. I always thought of Nissan as quality, now I have second thoughts.Its a shame this dealership can't satisfy one of there customers who has a car with such an obvious flaw. read more

How does the service department forget to reset the "maintenance required" light on my Nissan Rouge during a 15000 mile routine checkup that cost $220? Well they did and the service guy said "oops they must've forgot just bring it back" I came from San Diego where my business was valued and people did there job and included some extras to let you know they appreciate you. Buyer Beware!!!! I purchased a new vehicle and at the time and without my knowledge, made me think I was buying a Nissan Extended Warranty. Well, I moved to Charleston and took the car into Nissan to do 5k mile service. They said there was no extended warranty on my vehicle record. I pulled the documents and found out only then they sold me an after market warranty from First Extended Service Corporation. It is very specific on what you can and can not do for service payments, especially in my case because I moved away from the selling dealer to Charleston from Myrtle Beach. They deny most claims if you don't call ahead to get permission for the cost. Grand Strand Nissan makes commission off these after market warranties and why they are doing it. Vito, the finance manager let me swap it when I first found out. The cost difference was 300. First time I spoke to him on the phone, he said they would take care of the difference. Second time he sent me an email to charge me 600, twice what the difference was. I called Nissan Consumer Affairs 800-647-7261 and filed a complaint which was acknowledged with a claim number. This process went on for over a month. This has now been resolved but they ended up making me pay an additional 175. Grand Strand Nissan is using tactics and using the consumer to make extra money to get commission off selling these. I have bought new cars before and NEVER been sold an after market warranty and would not have agreed to it if I had known. I am a senior citizen and take part of the blame, but at some point you need to trust the people you are buying from to this extent. I paid cash for the vehicle, the maintenance contract, and the extended warranty. Robbie, the General Manager won't even respond to any communication. That's how he treats customers. Vito, the Finance Manager, changes his story every time you talk to him. I am not sure what either one of their motives are, but good customer service is not one of them. I am just putting this out there so others can do the due diligence to make sure this doesn't happen to them or find a different dealer. They all sell the same cars/vehicles. They are just horrible. The photos attached is the information about the after market warranty they are selling without disclosure. I did succeed getting it transferred to a Nissan extended warranty for 175. Whatever their response is below, these are the facts. I accept nothing else from them and I will never do business with them in the future. Took my car in to be serviced and asked them to check my brakes because they were squeaking. They told me brakes were fine and it was simply dust buildup. The squeaking persisted and two to three weeks later I decided to take my car elsewhere to have the brakes checked and the pads were nonexistent and the whole break line had to be replaced. I bought my 2011 Rogue in January 2011. 125,000 miles and the transmission is toast. I think it's a pretty good scam they have charging $110.00 for a diagnostic test to tell you they made an inferior product, which they know full well. I could never recommend Nissan, not just because of the transmission issues, but the dishonest way the company has handled the situation and continues to cover it up. Also asking me to pay $4577.64 to replace a part the inherently had issues on a car that is worth around $3200.00 is really icing on the cake. Just say "No" to Nissan. read more

I am one not to write reviews but I had to share my experience. This dealership had a left over 2017 Nissan Murano and I spoke to a agent and he said it was selling for 37k not 45k so I decided to stick around and get numbers. First off they, I had 9 remaining payments on my current lease so I already knew I upside down with my current car. During the 3 hour stay The sales associate Andrew ( I believe) would not give me any numbers, just a "ball park" and this is how inexperienced this dealership is that they ran numbers off the residual value and not the payoff quote value! Even I know the residual value is not the payoff! It gets better I'm now called in Stan finance managers office and he gives me numbers which did not make sense because they ran the numbers wrong Now him and the salesman are Cornering me in the office ( Litterally!!!) Trying for almost forcing me to sign a driver agreement which would allow me to take the Nissan Murano home for the night and that they would lock my current car in the back. I have never felt so uncomfortable before. Stay away from this dealership!!!!! Go to Jeep! I got a great deal! Sales must be tough and slow at Grand Strand Nissan!
