Antonio did an excellent job touching up my apartment. I needed to get it prepped for renters, and I didn't want to do a full re-paint of the walls, which other contractors were trying to push. Antonio promptly arrived to assess the unit and gave me a very reasonable quote. We hired Antonio and his crew at Ridea Painting to repaint the exterior of our house. Though he's Spanish speaking, he speaks and writes English well. He also has a partner, Jesus, who has carpentry skills that were very useful because several of our panels needed to be replaced. Though Antonio was recovering from surgery, he still managed to oversee the operation and made sure that the work was completed to our standards. He also personally followed up with correcting a few things and clearly wants his customers to be satisfied with the work. My mother's 60+ year old house in San Francisco needed extensive painting work, inside and out. Since the house is 2+ stories tall, it was a task I could not handle by myself. Antonio, Rideas' Owner, gave me a very competitive quote. More importantly, he gave me a very detailed description of what he was going to do, with emphasis on prep work: power-washing, scraping of loose paint, and FULL caulking and priming. He also showed pictures of previous projects which included replacement of loose and rotten boards that his own crew discovered and repaired in a professional manner. One must always anticipate remedial carpentry work may be necessary in an exterior painting job. That Ridea is capable of doing that work themselves, and not wait for the homeowner to hire a last minute carpenter to fix these items, is VERY important. His quotation did not include the paint. But he has deep discounts at various name-brand paint manufacturers, which he could procure for us. Or, he was perfectly happy to use whatever primer and topcoat paint that the homeowner supplied. We chose the latter by supplying him with Zinsser 123 as primer and Behr Ultra from Home Depot (Behr Ultra was given a very high rating from Consumer Reports). Ridea did supply everything else. All quality materials. He even supplies and erects scaffolding, which other contractors either sub-contact for, at an additional price, or requires the homeowner to provide. Ridea provides the full package. So that's why I chose them. I was not disappointed. During his prep work he encountered several sections of siding with dry rot, deteriorated wood, worn-out or missing flashing. His took care of all of these problems. Though this was extra work, his charge for these repairs was most reasonable. I did not feel that I was being taken advantage of. Antonio and I had the same objective: to do a quality job. His crew is very experienced and skilled. After the work was completed, I looked over the house at different angles and different lighting conditions. Naturally, there were discovered a few items that needed follow-up. Antonio took care of these issues very quickly and without any delay. I was so impressed by his exterior work, that I had him quote the kitchen and bathroom re-painting. Once again he gave me a very competitive quote. But the clincher was that he painted the kitchen cabinets, which were unpainted, but heavily soiled with dirt and grease and had other hardware issues. Antonio's crew removed all the cabinet doors, sanded them inside and out, repaired damaged areas, painted them white and replaced the old hardware with new, more modern ones. The kitchen looks years younger. Antonio will do good work and affordable, too. No need to look further than Ridea Painting. read more

They worked with us and started again the next day with a much softer yellow. The end result was exactly what we wanted.
