I would strongly encourage anyone considering surgery with Dr. Ridenour to do thorough research and consider other options. After my initial rhinoplasty with him, I had to undergo two revision rhinoplasties, both performed by Dr. Ridenour himself, to correct issues from the first surgery. I was not seeking perfection -- I simply wanted a relatively symmetrical nose. I don't feel that is an unreasonable expectation after cosmetic surgery. Instead, I found myself undergoing additional procedures, additional anesthesia, additional recovery time -- only to still feel disappointed. Beyond the surgical outcome, I found his demeanor to be extremely arrogant and dismissive of my concerns, which made an already difficult experience even harder. I went to Ridenour Plastic Surgery for a Fraxel Lazer treatment with Mollie Thaxton RN, I'm so so happy with my first treatment and looking forward to the next. Since then Molly has given me Botox and I'll tell you this is not my first time I'm in my 70's, however I've never been so happy with the result before thank you Molly. I came in at 11 am knowing my appointment wasn't until 12:30pm but I was told I could wait in the car and when they were ready they would call me. This was my first procedure appointment so I arrived early in case. I waited and it wasn't until after 12:30 I got a text stating my technician was "expecting me at 12:30pm". The communication needs to improve at this facility. I decided to change offices. I will say the technicians are very very nice. Ridenour Plastic Surgery would be okay, if it were only the surgeon and he were a few decades younger. The secretary is unprofessional and VERY anti-Semitic. Dr. Ridenour (kind of) fixed my broken nose, and he disfigured my ear while doing it. Repairing my ear will cost more than repairing my nose did. If I could, I'd post the non-apology "apology" voicemail message that I got from his office manager / wife. *UPDATE* I had to get my ear repaired by another plastic surgeon. The surgery took 2 hours, and the recovery was (and still is) very painful. (The plastic surgeon said I can never wear a mask over my ear again because my ear is too fragile, which really limits where I can go.) I had my rhinoplasty with this practice and Dr. Ridenour in September 2021. The recovery and first few months were uncomfortable with congestion and I had an above average amount of bruising, swelling, and bleeding. The second day after my surgery I had to get stiches replaced inside my nose to stop bleeding. I had a graft taken from behind my ear that literally took a year to become pain free in the incision area. While my nose is an improvement I do not think it was worth the money, recovery, and encounters with this office. My advice for anyone undergoing a rhinoplasty would be to go to someone who is utilizing newer techniques and preservation versus breaking the nose and packing the nose after surgery, which I researched was an outdated technique. I am very disappointed that I have asked in person, emailed the surgery coordinator and Dr. Ridneour, for my post op pictures and before and after photos and no one can seem to get these to me. I really wanted to see my results after a full 18 months of healing and for all swelling to resolve. It is 2023, so getting a patient their photos should not be that hard of an ask with technology and email! It was also a red flag to me that every post op visit I went to, there was a new nurse training and staff was constantly turning over. read more

I had gone to him previously and was very satisfied. however this time was a very different outcome. when I told him what I wanted he told me no problem and convinced me have 2 other procedures. when I returned to him 4 months later unhappy he injected filler. for the last year I was very unhappy and finally made appt too go to see him, he was very arrogant and rude which my husband can attest to and blamed everything on my age, my skin, my expectations; I reminded him that he said my scheduled surgery would not be a problem. Thankfully, she has grit and has persevered with a smile on her face. Also, if this office doesn't use a stethoscope to check your vitals, RUN. FACTS: The surgeon's office has not sent medical records to my mom's eye Dr. when formally requested twice (isn't it a law?); she was on the operating table for longer than we were initially told and now has bulging discs and is in constant pain; the facelift left her with the constant feeling that someone is choking her; she has a concave under her chin and near her throat because too much tissue was taken away; and MOST IMPORTANTLY, no one noticed in blood work (or in crucial vitals) that she has kidney disease and a nearly blocked carotid artery and probably should Not have had the operation in the first place!! If I could go back in time I would of gone with my gut feelings and stopped Dr. Ridenour during the procedure. I remember thinking I should stop him and cut my losses, and wish to God I did! But whats done is done. From the start it seemed like he had no experience, at one point during the surgery he couldn't find the right tool for the job and had his assistant opening and closing drawers to find it and he settled for what he had to work with, OMG!... Get me out of here! Recovery was a nightmare! I had a major fever: chills, massive sweating and the runs! All due to the surgical site becoming infected. The out come of my surgery was so bad that I didn't want to return too work or leave the house. I had major scarring and a crocked implant that ended up shifting around and almost came out. I found a real doctor to take the implant out and she ended up using a fat graft instead of a plastic implant (Gortex) and I'm happy with the result. Do your homework and Believe me there's way way better surgeons out there. Don't believe all the HYPE! about how great Dr. Ridenour is, in fact he has so many HYPED UP 5 star reviews, it should raise red flags! Not even the best doctors in the world or any Doctor has that many reviews. It looks suspicious and seems to be a way to bury the negative truth you can find if you dig a little deeper. read more

I've had several procedures done by Dr. R and his staff. Some worked and some didn't work. A lot of money was spent on products that didn't work and I'm not sure if the surgeon recommended the product or one of his Stepford employees took it upon themselves to do the work themselves. There are a lot of other cosmetic surgeons to chose from who are honest and nice and sooner or later the big ship will start to sink. I don't know how this business seems to be the top rated cosmetic center other than to possibly gouge their patients on prices, but with that they should treat their customers with respect, which the employees do not. I've been seeing Dr. Ridenour for over 20 years. I have had a dermabrasion, lasers, peels, fillers, and am now planning on having upper blepharoplasty performed. He has improved my acne scarring tremendously. Now I have to work on my upper eyelid wrinkles! I have NEVER gone to anyone else, as I trust him to do an exceptional job. His demeanor is kind -- and he is very approachable. I love his nurses too, especially Sara. The staff takes lots of pictures which really helps when comparing before and afters. I did a good amount of research before choosing a doctor and couldn't be happier with my choice. I recently had my nose done by Dr. Ridenour, and am very pleased with the results. He is definitely extremely detail oriented, honest, and takes his time. This is probably why he can sometimes run late on appointments, but what doctor doesn't run late? To me, it was worth the wait. (Please don't be late to your appointment just because I said this!) In addition, I found all the ladies at his office to be professional and courteous without being too overly nice - just how I had wanted. The anesthesiologist is very good, too. I was VERY nervous about the sedation drugs and asked him to give me the lowest dose possible, which worked out well for me. He has a very conservative approach resulting in natural subtle changes and I am AMAZED with the change it has made!
