This is an updated review. I have now used Michael several times and after speaking with one of his other customers last night I want to share their story. I spoke with a woman last night whose sister was in a nursing home in the area. She called Michael for a ride. She told Michael she was going to purchase several gift cards for a man for he immediately recognized to be a scam. He drove her right back to the nursing home, contacted her family, saved her from being scammed and her family was able to take steps to protect her in the future. That's the kind of integrity this man has. Michael mentioned this story to me at one point but last night I heard it directly from the victims sister. He is reliable, kind and offers fair prices. Montpelier has really needed a reliable service like this for a long time. This is someone dependable, safe and honest. read more

Established in 2024.

Hello, I am Michael, owner and founder of Rides At Your Service LLC. I am a 52 year old father of two, with a squeaky clean driving record; no speeding tickets, no accidents. Rides At Your Service was established in January 2024 in response to the limited options for private transportation in Montpelier and surrounding towns. We have been welcomed with open arms, and couldn't be more pleased with how things have progressed in our first year of business. As an Uber/Lyft driver with over 3 years of experience, I enjoy meeting people and providing the best service possible. I even do music requests on longer rides! :-) Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. As my high school teacher used to say, the only silly question is the one not asked.

Unethical pricing and lack of transparency…read more I had contacted Neil's Wheels for a ride to the airport and was told he would connect me to a driver who would give me a private ride to the airport for $110. (I explicitly asked if there would be a discount if I shared with another person as I was riding solo.) Joy quoted me $110 for a 1 person ride. A few minutes before picking me up, she told me the ride would be shared. I asked if there would be a discount given that I was told by Neil who connected us that my ride would be private. Joy then attempted to gaslight me into saying she gave me a below market price by charging me $110 for one seat in a shared ride. That made zero sense bc my ride to Stowe was $120 for a private ride and other companies had quoted me $110 for a private ride. I then had to spend my remaining vacation time picking up other people and listening to Joy chitchat with the other riders for the entirety of what I thought would be a quiet private ride. The ethical price per person for a shared ride would be $60-70 as is done in cabs to EWR in NYC that are $125 for a private ride. Really disappointed that Stowe businesses would try to scam tourists like this. Furthermore, during the ride, a woman called asking if Joy had a car for her mom as the woman had confirmed via text. I saw on the screen that the woman actually had texted Joy back and Joy failed to follow up. Joy hung up on the woman.

The room I was given had major noise issues with the HVAC unit so I had to get another room. That room still had noise issues so I used a white noise app to get as good a night sleep as possible. That room also had amenity issues with no hair conditioner in the shower. I won't be staying here again. Marriott needs to examine this property. I have video and pics if needed.

What a great place, especially for the price point!…read more The inn is quite an old place, but it has plenty of charm. The room itself was pretty standard, but very roomy. It had a big bed, a sitting room with a desk, and standard bathroom, and a lot of closet space. The windows were big, although mostly viewed the brick residence next door. The room itself is very warm, even with the heat off. However, there an air conditioner in the room that does the trick to cool it off. It's a little odd to have to run the AC when it's 25°F out, but I think the building just runs warm. And thoughtful by the owners. The Continental breakfast is quite standard. But it works. There is a sun room for all guests to share. I was in between 4 and 5 stars here, but 5 it is! It's convenient to downtown Montpelier; everything is within walking distance. It's 15 minutes from Waterbury, 25 minutes to downtown Stowe, and 30 minutes to Stowe Mountain / Mount Mansfield. I will be staying here again.

Check out the history of it and give it a try , it is worth it.

I booked Mike for the day of Friday March 8th after he was recommended to me from a friend. I had two separate doctor appointments, errands that needed to be completed, get my car fixed and get to my new apartment. I live in southern Maine. Mike showed up fifteen minutes early and got me to the several places I needed to go. He then followed me to my new apartment after my car was fixed with luggage I needed at my apartment. He was very professional with a clean and dependable suv. Even though he had to travel 3.5 hours to my location the rate for his service was very reasonable and competitive to other transportation companies. Mike is bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish. We had quite a few laughs with him trying to teach me some basic Spanish. I highly recommend his transportation services. read more

I highly recommend At Your Service Taxi. Last week I was in Montpelier (for the first time) for a few days with a friend for the Green Mountain Film Festival and we were without a car. Michael's service was recommended by the staff at the hotel we were staying in. The first time I called him, he was available to drive us within a short time and texted us a photo of his car and license plate ahead of time.
